Comprehension was a slow process, although some form of understanding was getting through to the young woman. She would learn and figure things out in time. However, the inquiry about what was bad about being outside caused a grunt to come from Alonso, and he gave himself a mental kick for not considering the possibility that question would be asked. In two seconds he was about to make up some poor excuse, walk away, and leave that woman hanging. His conscience said that was a rude path to even consider. Unfolding his arms, he placed hands on hips to not remain stiff, "Like I said, people have different reasons for gaming often instead of focusing on outdoor activities. Sometimes there's the feeling of there not being much left to feel successful or... happy, mingling with the public." He sighed and gazed off towards the empty air. No reason for him to divulge further, personal information. Unless this acquaintance was too air headed it was obvious the Felis was trying to move past the subject. Not quite old enough for a midlife crisis, but too old for causing petty arguments. Alonso was not about to ruin another player's first experiences with an online game. Some guilds were filled with terrible folks, which he was on the unfortunate end of first hand experience, and the aging man preferred the young woman did not have to deal with that as a tutorial. Luck favored the bold and naive. How it favored the latter was a mystery he was never going to solve, a relief that he came across this other player first. From the clues given he figured combat was not a problem for her. The hulking bear of a man eyed the two critters with her, nothing the fact she could take care of herself and two pets this early in the game. Responsible enough to not have the older gentleman worry, "Seems like you understand combat to an extent. The game physics are fairly equivalent to the real world, which is odd because by now someone must've come across a glitch or two. Well, almost equivalent, since there's the obvious fictional traits of a game that'll set itself apart." So far there were no abilities that allowed people to jump across chasms with ease or uproot entire trees, but what did he know. Even Alonso's knowledge of gaming did nothing in the face of Terrasphere's mechanics he had dealt with for such a short time. Once again his thought processed churned within his mind. Some curiosity pulled on him to know just how much further this new player would grow, and experience a phenomena she considered more than foreign. His menu interfaces were still open on top of that. "Here, I'll bite. If you ever need help from me just send a message. This should make that easier for you," Alonso said. One hand reached up, scrolling through the social statuses until he paused. Muttering a few words, his eyes narrowed, "And because I'm being a damn idiot I realized we haven't introduced ourselves to each other. Would make it easier to send a friend request, wouldn't it? Name's Alonso Thorlion, at least in game." Tag: @Lilianna Talbot
