  1. The battlefields didn't seem as crowded as they did before. It seemed like everyone was setting up camp for the night, and that included the ones sieging the castle. Thankfully, Ash had managed to get a road back into the keep with the Falderen cavalry after helping to deliver the supplies. She didn't know if she would be able to enter the locked-down keep otherwise.

Inside the keep, the atmosphere was tense. The fact that the attackers were setting up camp right outside the walls certainly didn't lend itself to a serene evening. Ash herself was conflicted about the whole situation, but she had made it clear that she was staying to help. And she wouldn't go back on her word.

And oh boy was there a lot that needed to be done. The walls were in awful shape, but Ash didn't quite have the expertise to aid them in repairs. But they did have some fresh food supplies, and Ash was rather all right with cooking. People would need to be fed, at any rate.

Ash made her way over to where the rations were being kept. Some dried meat, fruit and vegetables--that she could also help replenish with her naturamancy-- and other foodstuffs were being brought over from the supply wagons to the food preparation area so Ash found a place for herself and got to cooking.

She did catch a familiar face, making his way towards the food. She brightened at the sight of @Janne Feldgrand, despite how tired she felt right now. "Janne! How are you doing?"

  2. Rudiford was a goody-two-shoes, too good for doing anything like betraying the Kingdom of Falderen, to which he had sworn fealty to (unofficially). Although he was fighting on the wall earlier, he quickly retreated to the keep when he saw the supposed new raid commander gracing the former defense raid commander with a quick and immolating death. Astor Balthas was a scary man, and someone he would rather not deal with, even via chat.

As such, Rudi has been inside the keep since, trying to keep an order of the panicking soldiers and innocent citizens who had nowhere else to do. While he can’t exactly do anything fancy like reinforcing the wall and setting up traps in the hallway, or mounting defensive machineries on the wall, but he sure can encourage the soldiers and assisting with injured people. When he spotted two other players (information revealed to him from extended observation), he came over to them and started chatting them up.

“Hey, are you guys doing okay? It’s going to be a long night tonight.”

  3. Ash smiled wanly and looked up at the other player approaching her. "Yeah, no kidding," Ash said in response to his comment. "I'm holding up okay, but I'm really exhausted. Thank goodness that things are a lot quieter now."

She gave a look out towards the crowd of defenders still huddled within the keep, and amended, "Well, relatively quieter. I guess I didn't realize how many people followed the guilds when they turned against Falderen."

She introduced herself to @Rudiford Galland and made some small talk as she handed him a plate of food and drink that she helped to prepare. "Here you go, make sure to eat. Best make use of the supplies we have now, since the attack is going to continue tomorrow."

Ash paused, gnawing on her lip. Should she try to convince the other players to not fight? Surely they would've seen the messages that the guild leaders posted, and knew what was happening. Eventually, she decided against mentioning anything right now. The NPC soldiers looked keyed up and it was better not to risk their wrath by mentioning anything related to that at the moment.

  4. Isolt wasn't even sure what to think right now. All she knew was things had gone from bad to worse in a matter of a few hours. She had signed on to play Terrasphere and when the call to aid the Falderan Castle was made she instantly hit the accept knowing that's what her guild would want her to do but also because she wanted to help despite how low skilled she still was. She didn't care though she wanted to help and so she was sent off to do what she could with her alchemy in coating blades and in creating the lowest of healing potions she could create with the ingredients given to her. She was sure that she'd be able to help the mages and others as much as they needed her too. It wasn't until half way through the onslaught when those of her own Guild turned on that castled that she simply couldn't understand what was going on. She was confused as all heck as to why they would do that. Nothing was making any sense but her guild held the name. HEROES OF FALDERAN and in its time of need they were turning on the castle. She didn't much understand why they would do that even with all the things coming in. Still she supported the wall and the troops of the castle.

When night fell she looked around to see who was still left on the inside of the wall. They were basically trapped inside but now that the fighting had died down she could tend to the less seriously wounded and turn to making some of the really really easy dishes to make. though they would not be anything too special she could make everyone something to eat and so onces she got the okay with a few of the locals to make ready for dinner she did so. She had betrayed her guild by being here but it didn't make sense to just leave the castle behind without getting all of the story and if truth be told she was more a pacifist anyways. They head healers on the other side and they needed those same types of people over here too.

She took a breath cleared her mind and then cooked making herself feel better and then she turned to take the food to those that needed it.

  5. This was certainly a very entertaining set of events. Ko had been monitoring the support and defense of the wall. He was not strong enough yet to truly take part in the assault but on one hand now he was glad he had not. He was also glad he was not in any way shape or form part of a guild just yet. The three major guilds had done something that was well very interesting to him. They had all decided to betray the castle and the Kingdom of Falderan where they had all been playing and getting their information from. Apparently though Falderan was not some innocent bystandard either but then again that was never true when it came to all out war. He watched everything unfold from his hiding spot for a bit before things started to get bad for the defense. That was when he took up a defensive position and even helped some of the locals run out the traitorious heroes that they had called but turned out to be traitorious. Though he seemed to be a little outta place in a way there were a few who saw him run some aid to the wall from a few others that could not get past. Best way to pass information was through those that could move through such things with ease. Or at least slight ease. It was in this and passing information to a few good people that he himself was able to stay behind the inner walls of the Castle. He wondered how many more had done just that. He wasn't sure just how big the guilds were.

Who was right or who was wrong was not what he was seeking in this conflict. No what he was seeking in the conflict was a little fun for himself and though sabatoge would have been fun. That was not the game he played at the moment. He needed more information and well he was in a sense of the word an assassian and mercinary so he could do as he damn well pleased and today he was being helpful. He jumped down from his spot watching those set up behind the wall. He landed not too far off the others. "Well let's get this wall back up." He grabbed an apple and went for supplies.

  6. God, work was hard. Setting some food down and now standing still Janne heard a familar voice ring out from behind him. It was Ash, the friendly lady who showed him around the game a few days ago. Janne turned to her and offered a relived smile.
Well i mean besides waiting for people to knock down a wall on top of us and these people im pretty peachy. He said as he Grabbed the soup that was behind him and began to snack on it. As he did this another person showed up. Im doing pretty alright, And im not too worried tonight, im a lot more worried about tomorrow morning. How are you holdin up?
He said as he offered a handshake. Names Janne, Professional Coward. He joked with a smile on his face. Name and rank Solder! He said to @Rudiford Galland as he did his worst commander impression, He was trying to lighten the mood around the Keep. God knows everyone could use it. Do any of you know why all the other PCs Left? I mean things where a lot better when the majority of them where still helping. Janne asked as he crossed his arms before uncrossing them and snapping his fingers.
Also don't mean to sound like a jackass here but what are we doing here exactly? I kinda got swept up with a group of clerics and once i was in they slammed the doors on me and told me to pull arrows out of guys and clean wounds. Janne asked with a quizzical expression on his face, not realizing how dumb and clueless the previous statement made him sound.

  7. The area was slowly becoming more and more deserted as people left to find places to lay their heads for the night. Ash stuck close to the other players; she didn't fancy being left alone. She'd log out if the others started doing so, though she wasn't all that fond of the thought of logging in the next day only to be immediately surrounded by a battle if the assault began before she could get back in.

When @Janne Feldgrand voiced his questions, Ash grimaced. She didn't have the full story herself, but she gave it her best attempt at explaining what had happened: how the three largest guilds had gone over to the side of the Yladians, and were now looking to depose the king.

"...and so the Heroes, Black Star, and Yùlán Lóng-" Huh. Everything was so generic medieval European that she nearly startled herself when pronouncing the Chinese name. "Well, they're probably going to attack with the Yladians tomorrow." She pulled up the messages on the world chat to show him, and any other players who might not have had the chance to see them yet.

This next bit, she spoke only when she saw that there weren't many NPCs around. She didn't want to get caught encouraging people to desert.

"I don't think the guilds going to be too concerned about us getting in the line of fire. There's going to be a lot of chaos when the siege starts up again tomorrow; if you want to sneak away from the keep, that would be the time to do it."

  8. Manta continued to help shore up the wall. What else was she supposed to do? She doubted there was any other way she could help, being a skill less noob. She couldn't just sit aside though. So even if she was doing a terrible job she would continue to do what she could to help. As night approached she wandered away from the wall and started to look for a place to sleep. She wasn't adverse to logging out and leaving the game, but she'd rather not sit around in the real world feeling sick and having nothing else to do

She pulled up her menu and started to look through the options. Ash hadn't really explained much to her about the menu, but she wanted to see if she could shoot him a message. As she had said when they had first met, games like these weren't all that fun when you were by yourself. She wanted to at least hang out with him as imminent death approached.

She frowned. Maybe she was a little bit bored with supporting. She wanted to be a badass warrior, and here she was avoiding the fighting. Maybe she would join the defense in the morning. even with her lack of mastery points. Now that she thought about it, maybe that was where Ash was.

  9. As things died down Isolt had time to check her messeges from her guild. She had already told them how she felt about this and she looked sad. Her ears were down her tail between her legs. She really did look just like a big ol' kitty cat. She heard Janne and Ash talking and moved over towards them. "That seems to be the plan." Giving confirmation to Ash's workds. She gave a look to Janne and Ash. "Are you two willing to just leave the dying and wounded behind like that. Though i guess i couldn't blame you for wanting your life." She sat down just a little away from them. She knew for the moment no NPC's were around but she looked at the two of them. "I will die along with them if it comes to that but i'm not leaving anyone who was innocent in all of this. Half of the support team is here because some of us can't fight or because some of us are still really new to this game. So we don't have much else to offer. But i won't just stand by and watch as everyone is senselessly slaughterd. I don't know what this disagreement is. i don't know why things happened the way they did. but."

She shook her head she wasn't jsut going to lay down and take this and take what everyone else said. she wanted to hear it for herself. She wanted to know what was going on. The elves weren't saying everything the king had not told them everything. "They want a kingdom run but players and i don't think that's fair. At least that is what the Heroes suggested in guild chat. I...I am a member of Heroes but I...i don't want to be the cause of pain and suffering. I want to help heal people. If the king really is terrible i want those that live in this world to rule over themselves not be dictated in what is allowed by our laws or form of government we put in. that's not fair they live here all the time. we...we just visit." She felt like she was talking to much so she shut up. She had more intel if they wanted to ask her about it. She would help protect the people.

  10. Ko was not exactly numb to the fact that there were innocent people. It was just that he didn't much care. After all he had when he was angry taken out a village of people just for shits and giggles but that was who he was. He was a villan. Or at least he played at being a villan sometimes. But deep down he was a good kid and he did care. And there were players and npc's younger than him. For the things he read in the world chat he wasn't to keen on either side of this conflict so it was perfect. A perfect opprotunity to gain himself some reputation if he stayed where they were originally supposed to. To be frank though they really needed to save this castle. It was merely because in this forest and the surrounding areas. Falderan had let them run amock so it was only right to pay them back by defending. He turned to see someone else coming down from the wall and helping that effort as well. He came up to manta's side.

"you think we might be able to partake in some good food and drinks? or maybe strategy for tomorrow?" He questioned her as he walked up. It looked like the others were moving to find places to sleep and he was just bored watching the wall and all alone and he wanted to get closer to someone advisor of the king. Get the king to maybe end senseless slaughter or maybe to get exactly a few things that he wanted. He let it go and waited for answers.

  11. Ash gave @Isolt Veera a small smile that quickly dropped from her face as the other woman spoke. She hadn't really signed up for this kind of thing when she first registered. Well, in a literal sense, she did. But she had thought that Terrasphere would be all fun and fantasy adventure, not... all this doom and gloom and moral dilemmas.

"I'm not going to leave," she assured Isolt. "But it isn't fair to force people to stay behind and risk their lives. If someone doesn't want to stay here, then they should be allowed to go. As for myself, I'm staying to help heal the wounded. Even if Falderen is in the wrong in this case, that doesn't mean that everyone here deserves to die."

Ash sighed as she prepared the next meal. "I heard people talking about corruption in the royal family or whatever, but that doesn't mean that the rank and file soldiers had any say in it. Someone has to be here, might as well be us."

She gave the other girl a bleak grin. "I don't feel all that great about our chances, but who knows. I spoke with Astor Balthas a bit, and he seemed respectful of my choice to stay behind. With any luck, he's alerted the rest of his guild that there are at least some of us in here that don't plan on directly going against them. I just wish we knew what the heck was going on over at their end. Just waiting here not knowing what's happening makes me antsy."

  12. Huh i see. Janne said as Ash explained the situation to him. What luck he had getting pulled into a mess like this. Janne wore his default carefree look as he addressed @Ashiore Evretto next. Sneak away? and leave you to get stabbed or smashed? Nah that wouldn't be very cool of me to do. Janne said as he patted Ash on the sholder.
Ill just tag along with you tomorrow. Think of me as a Plus one. You watch my back and ill watch yours. Janne said with a smile when a cattish looking girl approached them.
He then turned to address @Isolt Veera 's question
Well running away with my life seems like the right thing to do seeing is how i just joined yesterday. But that wouldn't be very considerate of me. While my safety sense is yelling at me to run it feels like the wrong thing to do. Besides it would be a waste of my time to bandage all these people up then leave them to their own devices to get shot or stabbed no? Janne Said as he put another spoon full of this mystery soup up to his mouth before eating it. Why not all of us stick together in the infirmary? Hell if things get bad we can start barricading the doors. Janne asked as he looked over their rag tag group of Pseudo supports and fighters.

  13. Rudiford was incredibly tired by this time, so a packet of delicious food from @Ashiore Evretto was a godsend to the weary red head. After helping some more with the preparation for the siege, he slumped against the wall with the girl’s food in his hands. Then, he began chowing the food down with glee, stuffing his face with potatoes and whatever else the meal consisted of until he couldn’t breathe.

All of this was far beyond his sanity threshold, but in a twisted way, he enjoyed the simulation of what it would have been like had he live in a medieval fantasy world full of war. He wanted to go all the way to find out his true self in a stressful scenario like this one. As much as he would have liked to chat with the other players here to investigate why they are staying to defend Falderen, he fell asleep before he could mutter a single word.

  14. Ash gave Janne a grateful nod as he confirmed that he would be staying as well. "That's a plan, at the very least," she commented as he said their worst-case scenario out loud. "And it isn't like death is permanent here, right?" She's never died before, but from the way that some people talked about it they were just in and out of the Morgue every couple of weeks.

She began tidying up the supplies from the tables as it seemed like most people in the area had received their meals, and they had amassed a decently sized stockpile of rations for the next day, when nobody would have the time to cook up a meal from scratch.

Now would probably be a good time to start preparing healing supplies. They had some empty jars leftover from the supply run, so Ash started using up some of her last reserves of energy and cast Enriched Nectar and pouring the nectar into the jars. Better to have a batch ready to go for the morning; they would need it. And anyway, at least some of her energy would regenerate by the time the assault started up again in full.

Thanks to the effort from all the players who have stayed behind to help the keep heal, it seems their assistance has generally improve the mood within the keep. Morale among the soldiers are now quickly rising as cute girls hand them food packages, while the rest offer to stand guard, giving them time to rest and prepare for the battle that was about to go down.
