  3. “YEEEeEEeES! If I multiply the total distance between each trap, I’ll neeEd not to calculaaAte the distaaaaance between my FEET and so I- AGGHU!” Luca suddenly felt her body hit the ground with enough force to snap her back to reality.

She rubbed at the back of her head blabbering something incomprehensible while getting up with a large smile on her lips, content with the task she managed to complete due to her comendable math skills! Her jaw dropped when she opened her eyes to better check the world around her and reality finally sunk in when she noticed rubble was everywhere and a giant toothed worm greeted the alliance with it’s not so pure-white teeth.

“WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” One could argue she did not calculate this action at all! Except she did, at an instinctual level. She knew she had to get the hell out of that place!

Much to her dismay however she couldn’t escape because of the creature’s massive size that blocked any chance of escape. She hid behind a large rock, pulling up her crossbow and shot the worm, though her aim was way off as expected from someone’s first battle encounter in Terrasphere.

  7. Claire didn't see the explosion happen, but that might have been because she was too busy puking her guts out near the back. But now they had a bigger and nastier problem to deal with than the traps, if that was possible at all.

She watched the rest of the group begin attacking the creature, some remain nearby to cast healing spells. When the Wurm drained the blood out of some players until they were pale corpses, Claire nearly screamed. But everyone would have to do their part in taking this on. There wouldn't be any running.

Claire summoned up her courage and stepped forward. She still didn't have much control over her abilities, but that was fine. This was only a game, after all. Dying wouldn't mean much.

It would likely be lost among all the injuries already there, but maybe a fresher source would catch its attention. As long as it took the Wurm's attention off their healers, she wasn't picky about the specific method. Claire used a small chunk of ice to cut open her hand and let the blood drip to the ground. When that did nothing, she splattered it in front of her. "HEY!" she yelled. "OVER HERE!"

  10. "Uggghhh.." Roland moaned as he rolled over. What had exactly happened? He couldn't quite remember, one moment they were standing on some stairs loading some explosives the next the ground had given out below them. Slowly he forced himself up from the ground. Dizzily trying to figure out where he was. However, Roland quickly became unconcerned about his location, as much as the giant Wurm currently wrecking havoc on everyone in the vicinity. "Wha-what the hell is that thing doing here?!" Roland called out half knowing that he likely wasn't going to receive a reply. What was up with this game and its blood creatures, and why the hell would it be underneath this castle... unless... it was supposed to be. Maybe there was some kind of dark inner workings of the Fareldan empire, something would need to be exposed.

Now was not the time to think of such things however as Roland burst forward with a grit of his teeth. Looking around it had seemed a good bit of men had already fallen to either the Wurm or the fall, Roland wasn't sure. Clearly, the group needed some time to regroup, but looking at the creature it didn't seem like it would accept regrouping as a response. He wished he could just rush the thing and deal as much damage as he could within a small amount of time but it just didn't seem smart. Instead, he ran to the side of the monster, slashing at its side as he passed it. Once on the other side of the room he spun and shout, "HEY UGLY BLOOD SUCKER LEECH THING, WHY DON'T YOU SUCK ON MY ASS, MAYBE THEN YOU'D BE A REAL DRAGON AND NOT SOME STUPID KNOCK OFF VAMPIRE LEECH WHOS TOO COWARD TO NOT LIVE IN A SEWER YOU PATHETIC PIECE OF CRAP!"

  13. As he watched the battle go underway he'd note that the others were struggling some had even been taken down with a major hit. His attempt to draw aggro had failed but his wolf had managed to succeed in staying alive; a moment of worthiness for him. Yet sadness filled his heart at the loud one's emotions. Was one of the fallen his lover, unknown but suddenly motivated he'd draw his bow once more, Shouting words of encouragement.

"LET US FINISH THIS FOR OUR FALLEN ALLIES; MAY THEY NOT DIE IN VEIN!"

He'd shout as his volley of arrow once more fired off high into the sky, revealing a barrage of shots piercing into the beast. Running along the edges keeping his distance the ranged fighter would unleash several shots in attempt to provide targets, His arrows metal tips the perfect target for those with magic; utilizing the metal to conduct it. Despite being grounded to some degree the parts that weren't would fry no. Perhaps not, his mind racing as he fired and paused occasionally to catch his breath. His body rolling and dashing the opposite way as if to help confuse the beast while nailing shot after shot, this word was hell.

Between his wolf slightly injured, his own health having taken a hit the male was nearing his limits yet would continue to fight on. Eyes scanning for any spare barrels about left over from the explosion; however there wasn't. Perhaps some gas..."SOMEONE LIGHT MY ARROW ON FIRE!" he'd shout in hopes of maybe triggering some residual gas to blow the beast up as his arrow fired forth into the beasts mouth.

Hopefully this plan wasn't just a dud, but had it been this might be a fair turning point to help eliviate the stress on the tanks. Any damage to this monster was best, but he too was limited. "CAREFUL IT LOOKS ANGRY!" he'd shout hoping to forewarn anyone in close range to back off an take a moment to reconsider.

  17. The witch watched as one after another. Her future enemies and even her own followers were being devoured by the glorious worms. This was, this was.... stupendous! Why could not this sort of thing happen everyday? No instead she had to deal with said worm food's endless foolishness. Dark gods were likely enjoying a good feast right as well. She could only hope they were not allowing the false gods to resurrect these victims of the darkness.

She continued her spear barrage and noticed she was receiving support from someone... that man again....

  20. The fight was getting completely out of hands as Astor saw 4 people getting their entire blood reserve drained by the Elder Vampire Wurm with the red name, his legs were becoming unsteady. Astor has never been a fan of worm-like things, especially not ones that have great dental plan (look at those teeth). As such, he was debating on what to do since he had lost control of his raid group. When he was sprinting around, looking for an opening somewhere, he ended up running into the midget who set off the explosive barrels earlier.

“Oi! You! Mad scientist!” Astor called out to the blond girl as he approached her while looking through his list of spells. “I can’t bare looking at that absolutely disgusting thing, it’s giving me all kinds of creeps with that long cylindrical body and amazing teeth, you can make up for blowing up our plan if you help me aim my spell at it, alright?”

And so, he put on a blindfold made out of a fragment of somebody’s dress (most likely Merkaba’s) before he was guided to the right position by the smaller girl. When he received some kind of audio cue, he began to recite his spell.

    “Zorgagon demaskur zel narinthogorz altimuherre!”

The moment his chant completed, Astor sent out a big fire ball that only hit the gargantuan Wurm in an unimpressive spot. It did ‘okay’ damage despite him being a bit reckless and as such, put himself in harm’s way.

  23. As she watched the big bad worm, its health dwindling down to mere one-third of the bar she felt hopeful. Of course then the mechanics of game raised its ugly head, something that people knowledgeable about the mmorpg would have known, but which Ilusa (or rather the woman behind the avatar), for all her preparations was not an experienced player.
As such, she did not know of the mechanics that happen while the boss health gets to certain milestones. She did not know of the enraged status, of the blood red status.

Which was why what happened next took her completely by surprise. Not only many players fell, not only many players health pummelled but also it healed itself. There was a notice of course, something about Round Whip and Mad Leech. And then a notice that the resurrection of players was possible.

“Looks like I have to raincheck on that heal Astor.” Ilusa said smiling bit sadly at the fierce blonde, as she chose one of the players and then, decided to resurrect someone for the first time.

A deep breath and suddenly there was music filling her ears, a choir of angels singing as in the roof a breaking sound appeared. Cracks of light appeared and then, the powerful light tore through it, bathing the fallen form of the woman in its warmth.

The light curled around her raised the body up with care, as if by invisible hands. The rays sank into the woman, giving her skin a healthy colour back. Motes of light floated into her mouth, creating an inner shine. Two hands of light gently wrapped around the body, slowly straightening it up and putting it down on feet.

It was a beautiful, peaceful sight, at odds with the carnage happening around.

Ilusa could feel it, the light wrapped soul that she was carefully putting back into the shell of the body, healed up to half of its maximum health.

But there was something odd about it. Odd about the soul inside her hands that were wrapped around the body. An echo, a hum, a weight of more than one soul. She gasped as the soul, no, as the souls returned to the body and she staggered back, the light fluttering away from a woman and the life inside her.

It had been, more than she expected. Ilusa shook her head, feeling bit woozy and called forth a strike of light onto the worm; it did not much damage, she was still out of it, but better something than nothing, no?

  27. Oh god, after everything...this? This was painful. Amane hadn't thought that the whole stack of barrels would explode prematurely, and the next thing she knew she'd been falling to the floor below, getting the air knocked out of her when she crashed into the ground. Urgh, that hurt, she inwardly grumbled, pulling herself to her feet as a roar split the air. A terrifying monster far worse than any she'd ever seen so far reared up in front of her, the wyrm's gaping mouth filled to the brim with teeth jagged, corroded teeth. Glancing at her energy bar, she could almost scream. If this battle drew itself out, which it likely would, judging by the size and strength of the monster, they would almost certainly lose.

Perhaps that was why she opted to use her only revive spell on @Rook Whisker. He didn't look like a very experienced player, and she doubted he classed amongst the top few DPS, but they didn't have many supports either, and Amane suspected that if the creature launched another attack their heals wouldn't be able to keep up. Risky it might be, but it might just be better to try and burn it down before it could get off another of its life drains. With a chant — her longest yet — she watched with slight regret as her revive greyed out in her menu bar, entering an unending cooldown as a symbol glowed beneath the fallen mage, light engulfing his body and filling the room, bursting upwards in a shower of luminescent flames as the spell took its effect.

Hopefully, the gamble would pay off. It had to, for Amane didn't want to think of the consequences it it didn't.

  31. A groan was let out as Jack watched one of the individuals collapse despite the tender loving care he had poured into their health bar. It was a bit infuriating watching the damage dealers play greedily without concern for their healer’s energy bars… but that was sort of to be expected in any game really. Rather than mulling over it too long, he’d simply let his companion stay dead for the time being.

It was best to focus on the living who were still salvageable, and thus Jack would do so. Briefly changing incantation and repeating it once more, he’d throttle the energy drain by offering a more conservative, basic version.

“Stick above half health! That seems to be the threshold for healing the boss.”

Whether they listened or not was entirely on them. One thing was sure though. His mana bar wouldn’t be able to sustain much more of this reckless behavior.

  34. She shook her foot sharply to free herself and changed her positioning, keeping at a distance and strafing from one side of the ruined room to the other. A lightning crack of excitement still skated across her skin and she fought to catch her breath in the face of the thrill of the fight. The massive wurm had slammed into the melee fighters dotted around it like jewels on its crown and they suffered for it. The injured members of their force, however, suffered a far greater one. Blood was torn from wounds all around and four dropped like flies. Sera, and her secret child, went down. The Admiral fell as well, toppling like a pile of bricks. An odd Velten teetered and collapsed. Earley, the man from a previous dungeon, met the floor as well. The healers simply couldn't keep up.

Gwyn dropped down to one knee, the smooth black wood of her longbow gleaming before her in the light of the fight carrying on. She pulled an arrow and waited. And waited. And waited. Others raged at the beast to draw its ire. Some radiated an aura of healing. A few rose those fallen from the dead. Gwyn waited.

When next it swung it's head, the body attached flashing a furious red in warning, she released her lined up shot. The tremble of tension in the string and her strong arm was gone all at once and her breath went with it. The huntress watched with hungry eyes, with a starved expression, as the Power Shot sailed out toward the beast and slammed into the hard gums around some of its teeth. The force would hopefully shatter and crack teeth while splitting the gums in a gruesome display.

  37. As the creature trashed around the caves the situation was getting tougher by the second. Thanks to the combined efforts of the alliance party the worm’s HP quickly winded down. Ju’s lips curled up in an arrogant smirk while blocking enemy attacks through her fighting stances.

However, at some point the monster’s colour slowly tipped towards a reddish hue. In the common gaming language, that meant things were going to get nasty real soon. She prepared herself against what was to come, only to be surprised to see her blood being sucked out from the injuries all over her body.

“Grrrgh! This thing…!” When she regained proper control of her body again, however, she was slammed to the ground by the worm’s attack. For a moment, the pink haired fighter’s consciousness began to fade away, until her tanking mastery activated one of her self healing skills. “Not yet! NEXT!”

Huan-Xiang advanced once more, taking the opportunity to attack as most of the vanguard taunted the creature.

  40. They woke to a darkness above that yawned and stretched forever. Eyes are the edges of their vision flashed and flared with teeth bared in sickening grins. This wasn't right. Aiden furrowed his brow before Rook relaxed. The damn game. They had fallen, had had the blood pulled from their veins and sucked into the meaty maw of the beast. They sat up feebly and looked blankly at the woman who had revived them before smiling cheerfully. The Ash Cat sat far behind their eyes and purred. She wanted to try again and the woman had allowed for this. They nodded cheerfully and pulled themselves to their feet.

The caster spared a moment to brush off their clothes and summoned the tarot cards back to their hands. "Ravage and rend stone from bone and from flesh. Reap what life's blood was claimed in foul theft. Roar, Cindered Queen."

  43. The feeling of blood, of life ripping out from Sera was the worst pain she had ever felt, even with her pain settings set down as low as they could go. The pain came with a panic. What would happen to her child as she died? Would everything be okay? Would it respawn with her? Was this it's end? Blackness replaced the pain and panic.

But almost as soon as the blackness came, there was also light and singing. She was vaguely aware of a floating sensation. Was this what dying felt like? Light, singing, and floating? A soothing calm washed over her, and she blinked her eyes open to find herself still in the fight, only now at half health and energy. She scrambled to check her status. The baby was fine. She sighed with relief.

That's when she realized. She had been killed. She looked up, staring into the face of the creature that had killed her, had killed her baby. She shouted a wordless scream, energy pooling into her as she turned that shout into a chant. "You killed me... you risked my baby, you son of a bitch! Die! Die! Die! Fucking die you fucking bastard!" She shouted. She released all the energy she had and launched it at the creature, and she found she even put so much effort into it that her health decreased! She didn't care.

That bastard was dead. It had hurt her baby. It didn't matter that the baby was fine now. The bastard was dead. Dead. Dead dead deaddeaddead DEAD!

  46. The one attack from the worm had sent so many to their deaths. Laughing to himself, Daren looked at the one that had fallen down that had yet to be revived and casted his revival spell on @Earley . Speaking up Daren smiled. "Come on man, lets get this over with." He was really enjoying this fight, this worm. It was so powerful it made him giddy with joy. Daren then refocused his attention on the people around him. Many of them were approaching the less than 50% health border and that was quite amusing to him.

Taking in a deep breath, Daren smiled to himself. Yes, he knew what he wanted to do when he got powerful enough now. He wanted to be able to summon something like this. Or maybe even a dragon. He didn't know if the game had the capabilities to do that, but he wanted it and he wanted it badly.
