For read team: @Yuichi Ichinose @Anabelle Zhang @Moonbunny @Aiko Yamauchi @Taka @Visage @Aaron Marone @Xavier Weissman, the debate continued. It seemed that entire team was clashing with one another in morality and belief, leading to far too much indecision. Atice nearly got a migraine from listening to the clear rift between the micro-parties flitting arguments against one another.

Knowing that they needed to make a choice now, the scout filled his lungs with a gulp of air before he spoke to @Aaron Marone in an aside.
"Alright, look, I'm going to be straight with you. The rescue was half of the plan, the other was to subdue the enemy's headquarters so they don't retaliate during the war. We're not even killing anyone on the ship, we're simply sinking the ship, that's all. These are mercenaries who benefit off of war, who kill for money, who, must I remind you, worked together with King Theodore and cruelly shot down your friends. There's no time to debate about this, nothing is moral about war.

If you were really concerned about being responsible for the deaths that might indirectly result from this decision, so be it. Spend the last moment on the ship getting these servitors to safety, we would appreciate your help, but by no mean do is it required. You'll stay out of our way and we'll return the favor. Are you willing to compromise, @Aaron Marone?"

After he finished having a conversation with Aaron, Atice immediately started working on several chemical-based explosives and give each of the people who voted for the risky option to take so they may carry out the last of their mission.

"Alright, as long as we detonate enough explosive to sink the ship, we can consider our mission complete. From the diagram I saw of the ship, I am 99% certain that the imprisoned people won't be here. Moreover... this ship belongs to the Aesirs, who have no vested interest in your group. But, that's only my professional opinion."

Sinking the Ship (0/200) Atice made bottles of explosives that you and your team must take to the lowest point on the ship to detonate. Some of the crew members hinder you on the way, AND some of them will be occupying at the bottom of the ship. You will have to fight your way through to toss as many explosives as you can carry and try to sink the ship.

  4. Aaron listened to the scout's words. "That compromise is completely acceptable. I understand that killing one's enemies in war is a necessity, but I will add again I am not part of this war, and there are innocents on this ship, like these servitors. Those explosions of yours will certainly kill those too close to them, and it is an unfortunately common occurrence that not all those who travel by boat can swim. I'll take these servitors, heal their wounds, and escort them off the ship safely. Good luck on your part. I bear you no ill will for doing what you believe you must."

Aaron turned his attention toward the butlers and maids. With a chant, he cast a spell to restore them all to at least a manageable health and repair any damage that may have occurred in the process of disabling them earlier. He felt bad that he was now essentially undoing what he had previously helped to do, yet if he did not these injured people would certainly drown when the ship went down. He gasped for breath, feeling himself grow exhausted. "Alright... Let's..." he shook his head and cleared his head, before setting out to unbind any who might have been bound up. "Listen, this ship is about to sink. For the sake of your lives, don't cause a scene, I'm begging you. If you have any friends, family, or loved ones on this ship, get a message to them however you think you can on our way. Leave the group only if you must."

Once they were all good to go, Aaron turned to the players. "Forgive me, friends. I meant to aid you more, but I can't let an innocent life be taken when I could help, no matter the cost. I wish you luck in your endeavor, and safety. Again, I ask you all to put your own safeties first once more. Give yourself more time to get off the ship than you need. Escapes never go as plan when bombs start to go off." With that final message, Aaron began to lead the servitors to safety. He moved as swiftly as he could in his heavy armor while still remaining silent. It wouldn't due to make excessive noise and draw attention to himself, as such would draw attention to the other players just as well.

  7. Moony had been zoned out for quite awhile now...but, gradually getting appraised of the situation by the utilization of her context clues, Moony more or less got the gist of what was going on only.....

@Aaron Marone had raised an excellent point! If the ship sunk, Moony would have to get wet again... and the water was terribly terribly cold. Yeah there were possibly some people who couldn't swim or something and it was highly likely that she would offer aid to they and anyone else along the way if they needed it, but let's be real here....

"Friends, the paladin has made the first wise point I have heard since I made my own very wise point at the very start of this. If this ship sinks----we are going to get wet again."

Moony's already pale complexion had somehow paled further at the revelation.

"As our friend walks the path of rescue and in so doing, relieves the question of how we are going to claim we saved anyone upon this rescue mission, so too must I walk a different yet similar path to the rest of you. While we are yet compatriots walking the path of explosions together through a yellow'd wood. The road yet diverges, my friends! Before our mutual highway of mutually-explosive direction, I have found that I simply must take that slightly less worn road less traveled. In so doing, I am going to explode this ship in order to make a smaller ship of no lesser character. I say this yet with a sigh, but I shall not get wet again..." As Moony spoke, she was donning a spare maid outfit by casting it over her swimsuit as if it were somehow a mark of her severe determination.

In other words, while her compatriots exploded the ship, Moony was going to also explode the ship while following behind them. While doing so, however, Moony also planned to collect and ragtaggle the debris they created in order to make a raft or something. Others---hospitality staff or otherwise--- would be welcome to join her upon its completion, no titanic scenario here.

And for the prize jewel of this enterprise...That fine mahogany desk, which she would have to recover after they were finished....

  10. Anabelle received a few bottles of the chemical-based explosives from Atice. Several bottles were a bit too much for her to cradle, especially since they were expecting to be intercepted by the crew members, hence she needed a way to store the explosives while the team was on their way to the bottom of the ship. Hence, the felin made use of one of her assets: her full bosom. She tucked between her cleavage and the small space between her top and her chest the bottles. Yes, boobs could serve as extra pockets. With her hands free from carrying the explosives, Anabelle could not use her Fine Staff.

    "Game on."

The blonde left the kitchen and ran the hallways as fast as she could. Several meters away, she could see a couple of crew members surprised of her presence and blocked her way with weapons at hand. This prompted the woman to swoosh her staff in the air. Light blue orbs emerged and zoomed towards the said crew members, injuring if not knocking them off.

  13. Yuichi’s cold stare never left the paladin’s form, viewing his acts as supremely selfish in the face of a dire situation, with chivalry and principle being made as an excuse for whatever moral principle he was trying to uphold. Still, at least he did not go through with his plan, or else the gaze he gave upon the holier-than-thou knight was not one of contempt, but something simpler – like that of a predator over its intended prey. In fact, that he even tried to justify his choice did nothing to improve the fighter’s assessment, as if words could even begin to overcome the implications of his actions. The paladin was still entitled to his own fanfare though, and with that gone, he and the few survivors he managed to wrangle left.

Whatever. Feces is still feces no matter how much perfume you spray on it,” Yuichi commented pertaining to the long-winded speech the crusader gave before leaving them. At that point, there being an ideological schism among themselves, the nude fighter had already accepted that they were at a loss. Still, he hoped that their actions here would be enough payment for his and his Felin companion’s ride back to Falderen, despite the number of detours along the way. With that said, Yuichi speedily went to work and threw as much explosives as he could as often as he could do it, hoping that it would be enough to at least disable the ship long enough for the other groups to do whatever it was that they were tasked to do before the Aesir ship would be repaired.

Atice signed wistfully as he watched the two camps of players, @Yuichi Ichinose @Anabelle Zhang @Moonbunny @Visage @Aaron Marone @Xavier Weissman tore itself apart as over half of the party did not agree with the suggestion to sink the ship. As much as he would have liked to remind them the fact that they were in the middle of a war. If they were truly the allies of their nation, Astorea (seeing as how they were different than him), he figured he would trust that they would be on the same page. However, time was running short, they would be discovered by the enemy if they did not get their acts together and move on soon. He turned to @Visage who addressed him directly as he was on his way out.
"Well, there's no time to argue about morality. If you do not wish to bloody your hands, I suggest you either get off the ship now while the rest of us will blow up the lowest part of the ship.

It won't be enough to blow the ship to smithereens, but it will at the very least force the Aesirs to figure out a way to fix it up so it will be out of commission for the upcoming confrontation. It's our only option at this point
    "

With that said, Atice gave @Visage one last disapproving look as he hurried away, following @Yuichi Ichinose @Xavier Weissman @Moonbunny @Anabelle Zhang down the flight of stairs where he pushed unsuspecting Aesirs out of the way, sometimes splashing a flask-worth of sleeping drug into their face. Upon reaching the spot that they agreed to bomb, which was near where the rudder was connected to the ship, the scout quickly alerted his group and threw his own explosive at the wooden wall. After the initial explosion caused by the successively thrown explosives, a hole was punched within in the ship as it started to funneling water inward. To add salt to injury, a fire also started to break out.

By now the entire ship entered the highest state of alert, Aesirs men and women began to run about the ship either looking for the intruders or figuring out a way to stop the water from entering their vessel. Since they were quick on their feet, Atice managed to get his group of saboteurs sneaked out of the ship through the way they came in, which was up the stairs, past the kitchen, through the abandoned captain's quarter, and out of the window, which was surprisingly higher up from the surface of the water than he remembered. However, the enemies were closing in, so he did his part to push the boys and the girls through the window, accidentally grabbing onto their butts at some point, but who could blame him? It was an emergency!

Jumping out of the window meant you either needed to position your body for a dive, or you would have slammed real hard against the water, which would have resulted in a frightening amount of damage to yourself. Afterward, you could hear Atice's shout, which was almost drowned out by the crashing waves, the panicking Aesirs, and the dangerous creaking of the ship.

"Oy, oooy, hurry and swim ashore I just saw another scout shooting a magic flare in the distance, I think they just set up a portal for us to go back to the Astorean capital with, go, go, go!"

Even if you didn't hear Atice, you will notice the Aesirs lining up at the railing of the ship and began shooting their harpoons and crossbows at you. Water reacted violently around you as their ammunition pierced the water in droves, pushing you toward the shore.

Once the rest of the team got on land, Atice quickly signaled for the group to follow him to where he saw the magic flare, hoping the portal would be up by then, because the Aesirs were not letting them go. Even after the group had reached land and ran across the slippery rocky shore, the Aesirs were already in their boats speeding toward them with weapons and net, if they get caught by the Aesirs , they were going to be skinned and boiled alive. The only way they were going to be able to get away from the pursuing enemies is to get to the portal in time.

During the run, @Anabelle Zhang tripped over a random treasure chest that was revealed by a storm that passed by recently. Atice shouted for the group to help her pick up a chest of free loot and haul it to the portal...

  15. A simple smirked graced the fighter’s once grim visage, his faith in himself and his comrades – a handful of them, at least – seemingly restored by the successful damage dealt by them to the Aesir ship, putting all of its occupant’s distress and disarray amidst the flames and the sea water rushing into the hull as if seeking to claim the vessel like it did to so many others before. It was thus a simple misfortune – and perhaps a great show of skill on their part – that the enemy managed to regroup amidst the chaos and begin to show signs of resistance previously absent in the entire length of this mission. One would assume that they had roused a sleeping giant of the deep with the demand for bloodshed the Aesirs showed, but that was a sight for another day.

Quickly following the scout’s commands – but making it absolutely sure this time around to grab hold of an extra-long piece of mooring rope before his daring dive into the black ocean – Yuichi bounded for the porthole as fast as he could, the young man’s lithe and slightly athletic virtual frame, and maybe just a smidgen of his Rogue and Mobility Masteries, having allowed for a swift and smooth exit into the freezing water below. His naked body braced for the bite of an arctic chill that never came; an effect of adrenaline that coursed through his body in the height of excitement in the fever pitch of the chase.

Instead of being stressed, however, the young man instead seemed to enjoy the highly stressful situation the entire team was in. He would have wanted to stay around for more, but the clamor of dinghies and rope pulleys told him that it was best to fight another day. He hoped that his companions would opt for the same thing, or else his last-minute decision to render assistance to the others would be for naught, and at his own expense no less.

Hey, you lot (@Anabelle Zhang @Raid Master @Moonbunny @Xavier Weissman)! Come on in; the water is just fine!” Yuichi teased. “Leave the whelps and save yourselves, unless you want to stay with them for dinner! Just hang onto the rope! I have more than enough energy to swim us across!

With his piece delivered and his own hide safe for the time being, Yuichi waited for whomever wanted to be towed along the water by the fastest swimmer on this side of Falderen. His spectral whale seemed to agree, with Whale playfully blowing out spectral water as if to reinforce the notion of using its owner as a glorified human tug-boat. Sure it was not the best time to do so – or maybe it was; at least that is how Yuichi saw it. Either way, whether or not anyone would take his offer to be tugged along through the seas without effort, the brawler would later make sure that he would be compensated for his selfless acts of heroism.

    Yeah, right.

  17. "....what?"

Atice seemed as if he were about to say something, but apparently reconsidered with a quiet shake of the head. Moonbunny was holding the mahogany desk as though it were a lost puppy she had found on a rainy day sidewalk. She simply wouldn't part with it.

With perhaps the longest sigh in the history of mankind, Atice (the good guy that he was) helped push the desk out of the window and into the water. He tossed Moonbunny onto it as an afterthought. Moony had fashioned a pair of paddles for this endeavor below deck, but the scrawny-armed fake maid sitting upon a floating desk was hardly generating much propulsion. "Th-They're shooting at me!? How Rude!!!!"

Hearing @Yuichi Ichinose 's offer of succor, Moonbunny took the rope, no questions asked. Turning, she offered cover fire for herself and the others like some sort of armed caboose. The whole scenario was ridiculous, but it was working. Moony waved at anyone who seemed to be floundering and encouraged them on board.

Hitting the shore, Moony pulled up the hem of her maid's dress and fired her grapplers to the legs of the desk. Continuing to hold the long dress up, she sprinted at full tilt at the portal and dived through it. She reeled the desk in behind while in midair.

Landing in an unfamiliar palace, Moony skidded with desk under her until she collided with a nearby wall. Whew.

"@Yuichi Ichinose if you are still alive, I would simply like to say that you have my sincere gratitude! Also...where are we....?"

Perhaps because she was in the background, but everyone ignored her for their favorite princess.

  18. Aaron escorted the servitors off the ship. His job grew easier once the others started making a huge commotion. He cast a buff upon the butlers and maids when they reached the edge of the ship. "This will help you all get to shore quicker. The water is cold as hell, but it's better than dying in the ship." He dived in only after the last of them had been helped off. "Alright, stick close," he said, clenching his teeth. He hadn't had the spare energy to cast the buff on himself, so he would have to force through the pain.

Once they made it to shore, Aaron looked at the portal. That would most assuredly take them all to some Astorea meeting place. That was the last place he wanted to be, and he was sure it wouldn't be a good idea for the butlers and maids to go there either. He sighed heavily. "I'll go with you all to the nearest town. From there, make your way back to your families or homes however is best for you."

  19. Because of the gravity of the situation, Atice pushed members of the group out of the ship without regard as to whether or not he was touching their bottoms or not. Anabelle was left with no choice but to keep her senses intact and just endure the shiver down the spine along with the 'dirty' feeling left by the scout as he did one of Anabelle's most hated things: being touched by a man. She gritted her teeth as she felt her body trembled while zooming down the waters, and eventually making a huge splash.

Good thing the waters were cool as somehow it helped in alleviating the growing frightening thoughts in her head. However, something in the waters had caught her attention and changed the mood to being irksome.

As she floated, the blonde noticed that @Yuichi Ichinose was ready to render his services to the team, which was quickly accepted by @Moonbunny . The felis raised a brow as this seemed to be the second time the human was trying to make an impression with Yuichi and caused the felis to feel threatened that Moony was 'attempting to take what is Anabelle's'. She could feel a fiery sensation in her chest, and an urge to stab Yuichi and Moonbunny.

    But no.

Despite the fact that she wanted to do that, perhaps being in the ocean wasn't the best place to do so. Hence, she had to satisfy herself by glaring daggers at Yuichi, then to the other blonde, then back to the pretty boy, before hissing at him, "'Have fun being some human's quintessential white knight." Thereafter, she rolled her eyes and started paddling on her own.

A hundred arm strokes and a number of arrows from the Aesirs later, Anabelle finally reached the shore. She was quite exhausted with all the paddling she had to do, but it did not in any way dwindled down the irritation she felt towards two of her teammates. She was so vexed that she was not paying attention to anything until she had tripped over a treasure chest.

Did she feel ecstatic upon the discovery? No. Truth was, she wanted to hurl the chest at Moonbunny and Yuichi, and hope it would hurt both of them to the core, not minding what could be the contents of it. That did not happen though, since Atice was quick to order people to carry it as they all hurried to the portal.
