  1. She'd logged in with a sense of exhaustion in her body, which made her all too relieved when she found her elfin ears tingling in the soft breeze of a clearing in the forests of Brisshal. She'd always felt there was something soothing about this place, a perfect getaway after a rather long and troublesome anatomy lesson. It was a lot easier not to feel sick when she had her healing magic!

Of course, perfect wasn't a real ting, and she knew that. When she heard the sound of wolves not too far away, their growls sounded awfully familiar. They'd found prey, and in this area, prey often meant people.

Rushing into action, she fumbled slightly as she saw it. An entire pack of wolves against a red-haired man with an old, beginner's sword. A pack against a person. From the looks of things, these wolves were out for blood.

Growling lightly, she rushed next to the stranger, drawing her katana swiftly from it's hilt and towards the canines. "Let's even the odds a bit, you lot." Glancing to the swordsman she'd run in on, she smiled. "Shall we take care of them before they can attack anyone else, stranger? We can talk shop after. First, these fellows need a lesson in allowable prey."

  2. Startled at the sudden entrance of an unfamiliar elven swordsman, the kid stumbled back a bit. "Wha- Oh, you want to help? Thanks, I was trying to train up a bit." He focused his attention back onto the wolves, approaching them cautiously. If I get surrounded, I'm done for, he thought to himself as he engaged one of the wolves.

  3. His startled form had surprised her more than expected- perhaps she'd been assuming he'd been more wary of more joining the fight than he was? Well, it mattered little why he was surprised. What mattered was he was willing to let her help, leaving her to smile as she slashed at one of the other wolves behind him, slicing one at a time to cover his six.

"So you're new I'm guessing? I swear, they purposely made it so that monsters in this area are more like demons to slaughter the young. First game I've played where the starter area is just as dangerous as the rest of the world."

  4. Cutting down the wolf he initially pursued, the kid suddenly turned to his new companion. "Wait, the entire game is this hard!?" He sounded a bit surprised at first, yet seemed to have composure. "This'll be fun," he muttered to himself right as he moved onto the next wolf.

  5. His bizarrely calm reaction to a surprising factor confused the woman, but she couldn't just stand there and ponder it over. Her impulses were helpful in keeping her from thinking on it, cutting down a couple more wolves. As things were quieting down, she laughed timidly and turned to give a good glance at him.

"Yeah, it's definitely not easy...But if you work hard, you can do a lot of different things. It's just like real life that way. It takes some effort, but as long as you keep at it, you'll grow to be quite strong. Just...Try not to die. I hear the repercussions are horrifying. Though I've died and I feel pretty okay...Weirdly enough!"

  6. Thinking about his companion's statement... 'I hear the repercussions are horrifying'... Oh dear god, what, you get a demon inside you or something? Eh, probably not... "Okay, don't die. Got it." Sean confirmed as he finished off his target and moved to the next.

  7. Felling one last wolf, she stood silently with her eyes closed for a moment. Nope, no more howling in the distance that she could hear. In fact, the woods were quite peaceful it seemed now. Considering just how many wolves had attacked him, Solaria didn't think twice about using some magic to heal any wounds he had hidden, though she had to admit her own surprise she didn't visibly see too many at all. "You did well defending yourself there. Now let me take care of the rest."

Smiling, she held a hand to his shoulder, light filtering in to re-energize him with what he might have lost from their feisty foes. "Feel like you got a good workout? I'd be happy to show you the clearing I usually use when I'm practicing kendo if you want. Us players gotta stick together, right?"

  8. The feeling of re-energization quickly filled his body, something he was glad to experience right after a battle. "That really worked up a sweat. It'd be nice to get stronger learning some swordplay," he exclaimed, suddenly getting a bright cheer on before going serious again.

"To be honest... I'm fed up with always being the weakling. In everything I do, in everything I play... I'm always the weakest person. I'm sometimes forced to pick a support role... That's why I chose to take up the sword in this. I want to get stronger. Maybe I can even become a knight." He started to tear up before wiping it away and putting his smile back on. "Why should I bother you with my personal problems? Let's get going!"

  9. His smile when he was cheerful helped build the woman's cheer as well, a hand clutched into a fist thrown into the air. "We'll just keep getting stronger and stronger! No doubt about it!" Her words, however, didn't match the change of tone as he began to open up into a serious debacle from the depths of his memories. It felt strange, hearing his story.

"I've never been the strongest, but I've actually never played support much until now either. I was always week, but I had support players there to help me, so I never felt it. That's the point of a party, you know? Each player has their strengths and weaknesses, even the strongest person in the world has a weakness. When we work together, we can do a lot more because we cover each other's weaknesses with our strengths, and expect the same in return, you know?"

Giggling, she spun in a circle to let out some of her energy before stopping at the tip of her toe to face him, wrapping her arms around him with a grin. "I just used healing magic on you. That makes me support, but it doesn't make me weak. To me, you're strong not because of your sword, but rather your sword is strong because of you. And hopefully, the same goes for my magic too!"

  10. Hearing the words of his coll... No, his new friend, the kid looked to the sky and shouted "I've never felt so powerful!" before starting to stare out into the woods. I wonder how those I've used to play with would react to the new me... Not the time to think about it, he pondered. As he started to drift back to the current situation, he turned to his pal and inquired "Wait, I've never gotten your name. What is it? I'm Sean, by the way. Nice to meet ya."

  11. Politeness recieved had to be returned, but she was actually more surprised she hadn't thought to do so sooner! Holding a hand out for a proper shake, she grinned and held her head against her shoulder. "Sorry 'bout that, Sean! I'm Ke- er...Solaria. Heh, almost gave the wrong name there. Silly me." The name 'Sean' to her was more of a real world name, not one she expected to find in the game from a player. Because of this, her instinct had been to give her real life name- a name no one needed to know, but she rather easily gave at points out of impulses.

"Honestly surprised I caught myself. Usually it's too late for me to notice if I give my real name instead of my game name, and I just end up confusing people from it."

  12. Sean slightly chuckled from Solaria's name. "So, you don't use your real world name for your character... Why didn't I expect it from the start? Everybody's using these fantasy-world names and I'm in here, just SEAN. It's just I have trouble responding to anything but Sean." He chuckled at his own flaws. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot we were about to go do some training, right?"

  13. "Wait, you used your real name?!" Stunned, she could do no more than stare at him for a moment, hugging onto him tighter. "You need to be careful when you use your name on the net! You shouldn't just give your name out to strangers!"

Well, he probably made sure to wait before telling them like he had with her, or so she hoped. Knowing his, however, made her feel a bit uneasy that she hadn't told her own. "My real name's Kelly. It's no fair if only I know the secret."

  14. The sudden squeezing had started to make air escape from Sean's lungs. "Hey, no need to get close... Also, it's fine, I don't really have anybody who'd want to see me harmed..." He slipped out from the grasp. "So, Solaria, shall we go to the clearing?"

  15. Pouting a bit playfully because he seemed rather keen on keeping her separated from him to some extent, she nodded in agreement with him and began to walk ahead, leading the way. It wasn't far from where they were that they reached a small clearing in the trees, sun filtering in a bit brighter than other parts of the woods. A gathering node hid on one of the edges, which she waltzed to quickly to pick up some mushrooms she spotted, putting them away before retrieving her sword once more.

"So, how do you usually practice, Sean? I tend to use methods to keep my muscle memory strong and ready in case a battle comes on suddenly like before. What do you usually focus your training on?"
