Tick Tock here! Howdy. Thanks for droppin’ by! I’m a nurse and all-around nerd that likes to bake, write, and game. I also dabble in web design when I’m not busy with my ever growing backlog of video games to play. I’ve been RPing for awhile, started some time in the early 2000s, and have yet to tire of meeting new people and seeing different styles or ideas. Chances are that if we’re on the same site I’ve read your stuff and would love to RP. Generally I like to have at least some idea of what I’m in for ahead of time, but if something happens that I wasn’t expecting I’ll run with it. My tastes are wide and varied, so even if you think an idea is crazy (actually especially so) feel free to run it by me. I tend to answer PMs on site pretty quick, but I go by Tock on Discord if you wanna reach me there as well (full info: Itkovian #0730).
Anyway, since I know I don’t hang around much on Discord (largely because I know then I’d really
never get posts out), I’ll include a few other things down below in a spoiler called “Tock Facts.”

Post Length: 300-800 words, sometimes more
Posting Pace: Varies. Sometimes I’ll reply twice a day and sometimes once a week.
18+ Threads: Fade to black preferred for sexual content. Gore doesn’t affect me.
Interest
Neutral Argon: the thrill of winning against another person at the table.
Crave Catharsis: A feeling of release that follows an intense or overwhelming experience.
Love Expression: The simple desire to be creative in the RP Humor: RP’ing for laughs.
Need Kenosis: The feeling of being deeply engaged in the character or in the fiction as a whole.
Off&On Ludus: Fun from working the system optimizing performance within the rules.
Like Paida: Free-wheeling player fun, where rules are a convenience.
Like Sociability: The fun of being able to spend time with other people and enjoy their company.
Dislike Alea: The gambler’s thrill, the fun of taking a big risk, the tension that comes with it, win or lose.
Like Closure: The feeling that there’s nothing more that needs to be done, and the thing is finished.
Need Fiero: The feeling of triumph, or winning, of defeating a challenge, or overcoming adversity.
Love Kairosis: The feeling of fulfillment that comes from change and development.
Like Naches: The enjoyment of seeing someone that you have taught, or are responsible for, go on to do well with that knowledge.
Like Schadenfreude: Delight in the suffering of another. the thrill of seeing the antagonist get what they deserve is a pretty common expression.
Dislike Venting: The desire to work out player frustrations or other emotions, using the RP as a means.

Disclaimer: Posting this less as an ego stroke (although I do love that, on occasion!) and more because many times I am adverse to the evils of socializing. Or rather, I tend not to talk much unless I feel I have something to say.
That said, I know all too well how weird it can be to see someone creep around site for months without really getting to know them to some degree, so here we go.
I) I can’t count, so some of these are totally more than one fact each!
II) One of the most influential characters in my life is a certain baby boy named Tommy Pickles for both his compassion and his adventurous spirit.
III) My great grandfather was an old, crotchety sort that owned a large piece of land next to a river. The sort you might expect to yell at you to get off his property. Only, well, he also had a twisted sense humor. People used to love sitting on the dock next to his house, so to get them to leave he’d walk behind them butt ass naked, give a certain something down below a twirl, and then ask “Ya’ll wanna see my helicopter?”
I was about 5 when I first witnessed this and have never been able to see that last word and keep an entirely straight face since.
IV) I live in Florida, the land of only three seasons: hot, hotter, and pollen.
V) I tend to enjoy somber experiences the most, with varying degrees of light-heartedness to break things up. A few examples would be Made in Abyss, Madoka Magica, The House of Fata Morgana, and so on. I don’t necessarily like bad endings, but I do dislike good endings that just come to a protagonist.
VI) I love to see characters go deeper and deeper into a rabbit hole spiritually, physically, and emotionally and then fight their way out.
VII) I prefer tea to coffee.
VIII) I have a bread fetish that tends to make its way to all my characters.
IX) If you can name a JRPG released between the NES and PS2 era, chances are not only have I beaten it, I’ve completed it. In general, some examples of my favorite games not limited by system are (gonna limit myself to 10, albeit not top 10): Wild ARMS 2, Skies of Arcadia, Etrian Odyssey III, Shadow Hearts, Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, Suikoden II, Baldur’s Gate II, SaGa Frontier 2, and Labyrinth of Touhou 2 … among many, many others
X) The last MMO RP site I was on was SoulStream Online, which died on the very last week of 2016. STEEL and CrazySaga were both members as well, and I was tempted to join Terra around April or May last year, but I was busy at the time.
XI) Admittedly I was amused at Aaron getting a girlfriend, because my favorite amongst his antics was tagging every female character on site in a Quest LFG titled “A Squirrel Looking For His Nut.” I’m also glad head canon wise he eventually succeeded ;)
XII) I prefer night to day.
XIII) I really love watching stormchaser footage. Always a humbling experience even from the viewpoint of a camera.
XIV) I've had glasses since I was in second grade and refuse to wear contacts.
