Suddenly a third party appeared on the arena stage. The cloaked figure from before somehow had bypassed the security! The figure made their way to the center of the stage and a thin arm emerged from the cloak. and rested limply at their side. Not turning to face either of the teams. They lowered their head a little. A female voice was cool and somber came from their lips directed at the man who was waiting for one of the other team to step forward. That would not be needed.

"Heh... cute. A toy that moves like a toy. Fitting."

The cloaked figure raised their head again and shrugged.

"Okay. I'll cut to the chase. I need a test of my power and I want to fight. Don't care who or where but I want to fight right now. In fact, I'm going to go to town on this whole god damn cesspool. Sounds good? Good."

Their lips formed into a smirk.

"Here's how this works now. Every player here leave right now, not the arena, the entire game. As for the rest of you..."

The fist at the end of the arm clenched a little.

    "Time to pull your plugs."

With a grunt Roland pushed himself up off the ground. Despite Alpha's attempt his body still throbbed in pain due to his previous match's activities. Even worst, he felt spent, barley being able to stand without swaying in the wind. It seemed the next match had begun, or was going to but a third challenger had arrived in the arena. With a grimace Roland tried to figure out what was going on. It was the girl in the hood from the stand earlier, somehow she had made her way down onto the arena, but why? A fight? Surely if that's what she wanted she could have simply joined one of the various teams and gotten her fill.

No this was probably some girl who had gotten excited watching the previous bloodshed before impulsively deciding to join in. The fact that she knew about players, meant she was just one herself. Having far to much time to play the game, Roland knew he was one of the strongest on the sever. The likelihood of the girl being any kind of a threat was small. With a sigh, Roland produced his Oath Keeper speaking quietly to those around him "I don't know what she's up to, but this may work in our favor. Hopefully this little stunt is pulling guards off of the noble girl. This, might be our chance.... " Eyeing the hooded girl, Roland paused, "I'm in no shape to take on any guards, hell you guys might not be either, but it's worth a check. In the meantime, I'll try and keep everyone entertained"

Roland's lip separated revealing a thin smile as he forced himself to enter the arena once more while Toto was busy dancing around the arena, clearly confused but excited, "In a stunning change of events it seems we have a new challenger! But this is highly against the rules, what will happen? I don't know but I'm sure there is about to be some blood, I can't wait to find out! What's this? Is Roland returning to the ring? Surely he's not planning to attempt to topple this rogue competitor?!" Roland could do nothing more than sigh at the exuberant announcer, slowly he lifted his sword, pointing it in the hooded figure's direction. "Ok, then, lets see what you got!" Wasting no time he moved swiftly forward flinging his sword before him in an lazy attempt to land a blow.

Alpha stared at the cloaked figure. And stared. And when her eye began to dry and turn red from all the staring, she got a bottle of eye wash and rinsed her sockets of their dryness before returning to her new chosen occupation of staring. And then she pointed. "You're a potato," she shouted out. Hopefully the figure could hear her from this distance. And then she turned away.

"Okay, Rudolf, you just rest here an—" she didn't finish before Roland went out to strike at the intruder. She grimaced. "Uh, okay, I'll just heal you."

    And she did. Grudgingly.

Where were the rainbow butterflies, anyway? She kinda missed them.

  9. An annoyed huff escaped the Admiral as she watched the cloaked figure take to the arena stage, interrupting the beginnings of the final match which should have been between Aaron and the creepy puppet guy. Her first instinct was to run down and smack the child off of the stage, but instinct was animalistic and uncivilized much of the time. A heartbeat after the desire struck her, it washed over her and was passed, leaving a calm reasoning in its wake. There were obvious rules to this place, rules which hopefully meant that some fool in a cloak couldn't just run up and interrupt a match to sate their own lust for battle. If she ran this tourney the cloaked figure would have been speared through and pin cushioned by a hail of arrows... but none came. And none came... and none came.

So. There were simply no rules here, which Roland and Alphabet continued to prove as he ran down to fight, and the runt healed him while he was in the arena and she on the side lines. The entire situation was fucked beyond belief, no control was being maintained, and nobody seemed to care for the total lack of order. Which was just fine with her... If nobody else was going to abide by even basic rules, then neither was she. Turning to Gwyn and Kyupin, she gave a snarled goodbye and kept her statement brief.
"You should probably just take your leave, as the cloaked cunt suggested. It's clear that, whatever games are going on here, there's no real rules to them. They aren't stopping this shit show happening right now, they've allowed bribes and manipulations, and the guards haven't even budged to stop this interruption. It doesn't matter if we win: they'll change the terms of victory to make sure we don't, or that we can't leave with what we came for." With nothing left to say, she smiled sadly and logged out. She was done with putting up with bullshit.

    Triad [BATTLE THEME]

    Name: Triad

    Mastery Modifiers: None

The cloaked figure's smirk vanished as the announcer, everyone in the crowd and even one of the players, someone named Roland, were all going to continue with this. They did not even consider the intruder a big enough threat to try and throw everything they had at them. In this regard, the 'new challenger' fully agreed with the The Admiral. How fucked was this game anyway? These players also were so lost in their haze of happy fun land that they just could not get the idea that maybe they should call this quits. Fine. Fuck it, fuck Terrasphere, Triad would do it. She would reach into herself and break the barriers. This was not going to continue anymore. No more games, no more living under some predetermined role. Fuck everything to hell.

The lazy swing of Roland's was easily avoided but it did tear into the cloak. Pulling ti off of her and tangling some onto his sword before blowing past him. Triad jumped back a good distance for someone who did not register as having rogue in their mastery list. In fact if one was to check they would see ? ? ? had replaced it. As if even Terasphere was unable to figure her out anymore. That's right, good. This games rules can go fuck themselves. Triad was going to destroy all of this. Time to see what she was capable of. Then she can move on and carve her own path instead of her creators vision....

"You're one of the best in this game, right? You look damn tired though... shit. You aren't going to be able to push me to break my limits."

Triad stood with arms down to her sides and her legs spread some in a combat ready stance. Her look was astonishingy like Trinity's. Traid had returned to her default appearance, the way she was 'designed' from
conceptualization. Her black twin tails blew out behind her and her shrimpy build made her seem not very intimidating at all really. No fucking wonder no one was listening... heh, she really had to become a demon. That works too....

"Get fuckin' serious... cause I sure as hell am!"

Triad's fist raised up in front of her face and a strange energy began to ripple from it. She raised her fist and turned it, thrusting her fist straight into the ground causing a massive blast of force to expand from all around her. The wave was as if it was distorting reality itself, rippling and flowing like translucent water. Strange illegible letters and numbers appeared all around her feet and fist upon impact. Even the NPC's could see it. The wave of force slammed into Lester and Roland. Blasting Lester up and right off of the stage into the arena stands. The wave went straight on into the audience, causing chairs and several people in the seats to be blown back by the force. This was now no longer a simple match....

Triad rose back up her body surrounded by the foreign patterns that looked like some kind of broken game codes phasing in and out of existence. Triad looked at both of her hands in front of her face.

"Yeah that's it! You'll see what sort of shit goes down when you turn life into a fuckin' game...."

Alpha grinned at the unexpected event as the woman was uncloaked and, inferring from her wording, was either a super good actor or some sort of special event. Let it be known that there is nothing that would stop Alphabet Chocolate from participating in fun events. "I got you, Rudolf!" she shouted, eagerly going in after Roland's swipe to give a jab of her own. She slipped her blade into her hands and nimbly swept in an attempt to stab straight into the black-haired girl's flesh.

As she launched into her attack, Triad broke into a series of coding and, in a movement that Alpha couldn't decipher, attacked both Roland and another spectator off of the stage. "Wait, what?" she stared before shaking her head and refocusing her efforts to attack this intruding stranger. She stared straight at Triad.

"Haha, this is so cool! If you said Rudolf was easy to fight then that means that you're pretty strong, right? This is gonna be so fun!" she cheered as she focused back on attacking the mysterious figure.

And then, almost as an afterthought, she tilted her head back a little and gave Roland a blink. "I'll heal you up later! You just go and rest and recover your energy for now or something; I wanna try to fight her!"

Roland's eyes widened as the cloaked figure revealed herself. It was Trinity the so called mascot, only for some reason, she had died her hair black and seemed to have adopted a new personality. "Trinity?!" Roland gasped as his weak attack fell short. Roland couldn't tell whether she heard him or not, as her next move sent him flying. The arena around him blurred in a chaotic jumble as he flew back into the stands, somehow bouncing off a chair without sustaining any actual damage. With a grunt, he pushed himself up as he tried to analyze the situation. Admiral was gone, which wasn't surprising, he had heard her ranting about something again. That marked the second time, she had simply left mid challenge without waiting for someone to even challenge her skewed reasoning, "I guess I'm going to have to stop trusting her, she's changed too much since swapping gender." Meanwhile had Alpha charged in advising Roland to hang back a moment, while Vale and Aaron seemingly remained stunned. Taking Alpha's advice, Roland pulled up his in game menu selecting a stamina potion and chugging it as he caught his breath, while a clatter of metal attracted his attention.

Pouring from either side of the ring was a small army of the Talon mercenary group. Each equipped with a shield and spear, they quickly began to encircle the arena. Roland wasn't sure of the numbers but it had to of been at least between one to two hundred guards ready to pounce on Triad's location. "Somethings wrong with this, " Roland said in a whisper, "From what I remember of Trinity she was a NPC, how doe she know about players? That spell from earlier didn't seem like normal magic either..." Suddenly fearing the worst, Roland jumped down from his seat in the audience and fell into the arena. "Alpha! Get back it isn't safe!", he screamed as he unsheathed both his blades. He had to buy them time, luckily his stamina potion was working wonders. With a flourish, Roland sent a myriad of swings in Triad's general direction intending to throw her off balance before running towards Alpha, trying to grab her by the waist, and jump up and out of the way of the incoming guards, who now were beginning to storm onto the stage in an attempt to give Triad the pin cushion treatment they had others earlier.

Here they come... to play the game and be big heroes stopping the interloper to their little fun time. This was exactly what Triad wanted. Everyone was getting ready to come down on her.Yeah, they were angry, scared? Maybe just annoyed? They did not know what that felt like! Some kid had replaced Roland. Alphabet Chocolate... yeah this one really thought this was just fucking candy land. These kinds of players really ticked her off even more than the rest!

    "Fun, you shitting me? Kid...."

The kid was fast. She struck Triad lower torso drawing blood. The raven haired Trinity clone felt the sting of pain and a rush of adrenaline and rage began to build up inside of her. This kid... these players were pretty strong after all. Was she going to be able to really do this? If she was unable to beat these people who were just trying to have fun... just playing around.... how would she be free.... they were better than her.... they were real....

Triad twisted her body away from Alphabet's attack. Pushing herself past pain. Fueled by desire to break her limits and be free. Triad went from her twist into a spin kick right into Alphabet's side. The kick would have a powerful impact and push the girl a good distance away even if she was able to resist it. This just was not enough damn it... not enough!

Then the dual swordsman was on her again. They were all going in... yeah, good. His attacks were a barrage of slashes. His eyes... he was starting to understand wasn't he? That this toy was not here to fucking play games. Triad attempted to dodge again but his attack was too fast. It hit her in the chest, the arms, the legs.... her outfit was torn to shreds and long cuts dripping blood were all over her body. Triad's vision was getting blurry from the pain.

    "......ke....urgh... d-damn... it...."

A bunch of guards were beginning to charge now as well.... this was it. Heh... the game goes on huh? Triad's body started to give out as her knees buckled. Roland's attacks stopped as he attempted to back off. Triad's eyes shifted upwards her body still surrounded by the strange symbols. Triad's eyes seemed to lock onto something. Her breathing was heavy and blood dripped from her mouth. No... she would not lose. She would not accept her role. Triad was not going to be some afternoon entertainment for anyone or anything... especially not.....

    "AAAAARGH!"

It happened so suddenly that it would slam into Roland's back as he was trying to get Alphabet to safety. His body literally being a human shield from what was to come. A burst of energy that was far stronger than the wave fist attack Triad had performed earlier exploded from her body. The soldiers were immediately engulfed. Their bodies disintegrated inside of their armor. Then their armor burst into a storm of shiny particles that faded into nothingness. This new attack impacted with Roland's back causing a large amount of pain in Jin Watanabe's body... He would feel a horrible tingling and his head would feel like it was about to burst from a sudden severe migraine. As for the avatar. Roland would be no more. Disintegrated right on top of Alphabet's body after they had been blown off the arena stage back into the seats. Alphabet would fsee his equipment fading away shortly after leaving her with the discovery that he was gone.

    "AAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

Just as quickly came a powerful blast of energy from the obviously extremely broken NPC. Her body vanishing into a stream that shot straight into the air and went beyond the clouds with no top in sight. The entire arena stage was now just a enormous beam of energy. Worse? It looked like it may be slowly growing wider in circumference.....

What was the plan now? Run, log off, or..... face this beam somehow?

    "...Rudolf?"
Alpha whispered tentatively, voice weak as the man disappeared right before his eyes. The entire situation was confusing...she knew that corpses stayed behind. She had witnessed her fair share of death within this game and she had grown used to it. It was a morbid thought that she had been more shaken by the sudden dissipation of a corpse rather than the preservation of it. Still, it was one thing to see your friend, and all the things he kept with him, vanish into thin air. As if it was all fake and nothing really existed in the first place.

Just as the last remnants of her friend left this world, however, she was faced with a much more dire consequence from her decision to stay. "Seriously?!" she shouted her dismay to no one in particular as a pillar of light erupted from the weakened event character and began to envelop the entire coliseum. Guards, audience members, and competitors were in chaos around her and Griswald was completely out of mind and out of sight. She looked around.

Aaron and Gwyn were mysteriously vacant, the Admiral was absent as she chose to log out, Roland got fried, and she seemed to be the only one still standing other than the nameless spectators around. She groaned, cursing her luck as she tried to ignore what had happened to Roland...why did he have to try to save her?! Either way, she shook her head. She had to figure out how to get away from that potentially-lethal light for now. Judging from the way it began to widen ever so slowly, she doubted she'd be able to escape through the crowd of panicked NPCs and players.

She stared straight into the offending object and, with slow breaths, took steady footsteps towards it. A familiar green radiance collected at her fingertips. It lingered there for a second as she approached the strange singularity and, before it could grow wider, focused all her might and power into her hands. Before the light could grow any wider, she placed her limbs into the light and, finally, released all the channeled energy she could in an attempt to disrupt Triad's attack. "For Rudolf!" she huffed as she felt her energy reservoir deplete. The attack was exhausting her to the bone. She'd ponder on the NPC's words later.

The magic attack from Alphabet would shoot towards the energy and sink right into it. The energy would not vanish! For a moment it looked like it was going to engulf the girl as well... until it began to shrink! The energy became thinner and thinner until finally it vanished. All that remained was electrical energy that surged occasionally around the arena. There was also something else, someone else. Triad stood tall and breathed steadily. Her body had changed. It had... evolved somehow. A massive weapon that set stuck into the ground in front of her. The dark unknown metal almost seem to meld with her hand as she reached out and grabbed it, lifting the weapon easily. Another blade and additional armor began to emerge from parts of her body.
    "Thanks. I needed that."

Triad took a deep breath and then released. It was so good to be free. No longer did she have to fill her given role, no more. Now she was going to be her own master. It was time to break her way out of this trap or bring it all down with her. Where to begin....?

One of Triad's eyes began to burn with a blue fire. Her smirk returned again. It was one of conviction and certainty. This place, this cesspool of fake digital criminals and low lives. Why not end them first? Make a bit of a statement? Then she would move on to deal with the things that had been waiting for so long to be dealt with. It was time to end her strife and release some tension... right now.

    "Hey kid."

Trad pointed her massive weapon at the girl. Her voice was the same, but she did not seem aggressive to her. Simply indifferent.

"Last chance to leave shrimp. Your friend is where he belongs. Heh.... why do I even bother, right? It's just a game. Guess this is fuckin' game over then."

The weapon suddenly morphed it's front from a buster sword looking blade to a.... large cannon?! It's depths glowed a neon like color. The same kind of energy that had engulfed the field earlier most likely.

    "Don't come back. Last warning."

The last thing Alphabet would see is the massive blast that would engulf her and the entire audience behind her.

It was unknown exactly how the rest transpired. Rumors are that a horrible demon literally consumed the entire volcano. Leaving nothing but rubble and no sign of life. This area was also now reported to be highly unstable. With strange rips and tears appearing frequently in the fabric of what looked like time and space itself. It has been chalked up as a massive glitch but no one knows who to contact about it so it has been simply deemed a dangerous area for people to go....
