Private - Two Kittens

  1. Lycia gave her sister a long, sidways glance with wide purple eyes. Their parents had always talked about NOT giving away their real information over the internet and if they did, people could come and kidnap them and they’d never see home again. Moreover, all their information could be stolen and people could impersonate them and buy stuff in their name and a whole bunch of other stuff. But they never said anything about people on the internet already KNOWING their information!

What were they supposed to do when that happened?!

Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in Lycia’s head. Her shocked/scared expression melted into a wide smile and she clapped her hands together in jubilation.

Coraline? she squeaked, her voice high because of her excitement. Ahhh, you look so cool! How’d you get that cool horn thing? True to her character, she walked forward and extended her index finger to poke it. It didn’t prick her, thankfully, but felt real all the same. Rubbing her thumb against the pad of her finger, she giggled and looked back at her sister.

You remember Coraline, right? She tutored us for a little bit when we were at the school. She’s the really, really, nice upperclassman, but she’s small like us.

Admittedly, Francine spent more time with Coraline than her sister had, so perhaps Coraline was more her friend than Amelia’s? But they could be friends now that they were all playing the same game! They could all go on epic adventures and see everything that TerraSphere had to offer! It would be so much fun!

And now you’re….Autumn, Lycia said, switching into investigation mode for a moment before switching back out. Pretty name~ I like it! Do you wanna play our guard? We’re princesses from a slaughtered clan here to restore ourselves to our birthright after we level up and kill stuff!

    Her excitement was almost infectious…

Oh oh, that’s a good idea. Maybe when you freeze parts of it, I can punch them. Oh oh! And I can give you guys a buff too! Does that sound like it’d work?

  2. It was odd hearing a stranger call Milah and Lycia by their real life names, the Felis visibly tensing up at the surprise before studying the other player carefully. Ears were folded back, her tail swishing from side to side, in what was a clear defensive display—though it was more unconscious than purposely done.

But then her sister was mentioning a name—Coraline—and after a few seconds her mouth made an “oooh!” Of surprise before the brunette nodded in affirmation. She remembered the older girl whom had been their tutor, one of the few upperclassmen that hadn’t treated the girls as if they were idiots only because they were younger. Sure, Milah might not be super close to Coraline, but she was alright enough with the girl that she didn’t mind playing with her now.

”Hey Cora; we’re going by Milah and Lycia in-game now.” She waved in greeting, ears peeking at Lycia’s comment before remembering about the user interface... that was still going to take a bit longer to get used to. ”You picked the Yladian race, right? That’s pretty cool.”

She listened to both girls as they thought of a new plan, nodding in agreement as Milah readied her bow again. She couldn’t buff like Lycia or freeze her opponents like Autumn, but she’d make sure to make every shot count to make up for that. Keen eyes zeroed in on the slime, an arrow nocked into her bowstring, eager and ready to go.

”Alright, let’s take care of this sucker then!”

  3. Well that was a relief for sure, at least they'd actually recognized her and not assumed she was just some creep that just so happened to know their names. Maybe it'd have been a good idea to actually use her own real name first, just in case they started getting any weird ideas about her? She waved slowly, smiling slightly as the sisters seemed to recognize her more and more, with Francine actually approaching her to feel the horn she'd added to her character. Silly girl. They really were the same here as they were in the real world, for however much that was worth.

"Hey girls, glad you recognized me!" She pointedly chose to ignore Lycia's comment about her being small like them, sulking ever so slightly. She was plenty womanly! She just wasn't very tall! At least in here she could be both! "Lycia and Milah, huh? Those're pretty names." What was that about them being princesses? Was there some sort of backstory function of the character creation part that she'd ended up missing somehow? If so, then that was an oopsie! But it sounded like the two were just...roleplaying? That was cute!

"Princesses, huh? And you're both, um, Felis right? Those're some cute cat ears, for sure." She'd also make sure she did some petting later on, once they weren't about to besiege a slime. "I'm not sure about guard. I'm..." She thought for a minute. Backstory. She needed a backstory! "...I'm the last of a tribe of mountain nomads, allied with the spirits of the sky and the sea!" That worked, right! "I'd be happy to accompany the princesses on their journey though!"

With that in place, she stepped to the side, mists slowly seeping off of her hands as she watched the slime slowly wobble towards them. Swinging an arm in a wide arc, she caught the front of it within her mist, slowly freezing it more. "Now!"

  4. A guard sounded like a good idea, it fit the whole princesses idea that Lycia had in the beginning while pitching the TerraSphere game to Milah after all. The teen couldn't help but chuckle in good nature as Coraline revealed her backstory--the last member of a mountainous nomadic tribe allied with the last survivors of a Felis tribe. Given the personality of her twin it wasn't as farfetched of an idea as others might think, and it certainly kept the theme going too.

Of course the slime figured it had been patient enough with the lot, beginning to bounce in their general direction again as threateningly as a slime could be, and it was Autumn's call that snapped the twins back into attention. As the mist swirled around the monster, making its gelatinous surface harden, the familiar tune of Lycia's cymbals begun to drift along the air. Milah's tail twitched, feeling the energy begin to pulsate through her body as each musical note drifted to her ears, and with a confident smirk the Felis pulled out another arrow from her quiver.

As the slime became incased in athin sheet of ice, courtesy of Autumn, Milah allowed her nocked arrow to sail free--the impact shattering the now frozen creature into many pieces of varying sizes. They begun to defrost as the trio celebrated their first victory, finally exposing the marbles the slime had... swallowed? Was that even the right word.

"Come on Lycia, let's go give these back to those sisters. After all, we did give them our word as princesses."

A wink was given as Milah placed the collected items in her twin's hands, watching the smile that lighted Lycia's face before she began bounding back in the direction where they had met the younger NPCs.
