".... oh okay. There's the real boss. The game must be progressing pretty well for something like this already."

Beretta stood still as her jacket and tie blew around wildly in the air from the intense energy of the creature. This was why they were fulling around with magical ley lines... to connect this world with another. So they just wanted wanton destruction at the hands of this fiery ifreet? Beretta saw how it's body was basically pure heat and flame. Hmmm, Beretta really could not help but wish she had her gun right now. This was going to burn... a lot.

"I'm going to need a hand here. No way my gloves alone will work."

Beretta moved quickly towards a area that her investigation made stated as a magically buffed area. She ran into the field and collected the holy magic of @Temperance into her fists. Looking at the girl's demeaner it was hard to tell if likely she was a younger player or a NPC with that kind of personality.... maybe. There were a lot more eccentric types playing this than previous vrmmorpgs. That CNN report a ways back was spot on.

    "Thanks."

She nodded quickly and rushed straight for Azog. This was it. Time to do something that in real life would be incredibly stupid. Welcome to rpgs...

Beretta went straight off the bridge fists flying at the elemental being.

_____Alice had no real clue how she ended up at some volcano much less during a boss fight it seemed. She blinked blankly at what was going on for a few moments before seeing something shiny nearby and running over to look at it closer. Stashing the small stone in her glove before poking her head back out towards the fighting and going back to hiding soon after. Alice wished fighting did not have to happen so much, all it did was seed more fighting later on even if there was some peace between them.

_____Sighing lightly Alice moved to keep an eye on others, her hands ready on her UI to cast some healing when someone near by would need it. It would not be the best healing most likely but it was all she really could do to help settle the fighting. Clearly the large fire creature was not there to talk things over and after the taunting of one person Alice doubted she could stop either side from attacking the other. Nervously trembling the Faerin simply tried to stay alert and ready to heal anyone who looked wounded.

The battle was heating up quick between the sheer amount of players and damage they were beginning to deal... and the... well, giant Prince of Fire himself. She could already feel her mouth drying out and she found herself blinking in an effort to fight off the dry heat and ash swirling in the air. The archer grit her teeth with a low growl and pulling back for another strike, the arrow still glistening from the passive magic imbuing their zone's attacks. Despite the furious expression, there was a hint of a smile making it edge on manic, the familiar wild light in her eyes only growing as the fighting was egged on. She hadn't had a chance to strike down the corrupted Arachna the Bloodied Queen and the Ancient Vampire Wurm had been a lesser force to face. Azog would be her worthy quarry and she'd see it turned to nothing but low burning embers in the hollow hearth of the now ruined temple.

So caught up in her thirst for the fight, she startled slightly at the support's approach. Gwyn snapped her head to the side as her hand, reaching back for another arrow, was knocked aside. @Temperance was an odd enough sight considering her unusual clothing choices, but Gwyn was a bit more distracted by her actions. She bit out a chocked noise as the mage kissed her arrows and offered them back to her. That was certainly one was to say 'you're welcome,' she supposed. "I- uhh, am happy to wreck his shit for you, ma'am." She looked at her empowered arrows curiously and folded two under the pinky and ring fingers of her firing hand. The third she instead flipped so that the notch behind the fletching was held between her pointer and middle finger. "Let's try out this boon, then," she muttered with a pleased tone at the sight of the arrowhead.

    Empowered Solar Shot

It was as if the damn thing had a mind of its own. As soon as she fought the heavy draw weight of her longbow and released the shot, the arrow was gone. It tore without pause and only her sharp eyes let her keep track of where precisely it managed to bite into the fire elemental. Like a singular burning ray, it came and went, the fire where it struck warping like a solar flare cast off the sun. "That... that can keep happening. That should never stop happening, holy shit," she laughed. Alright, so perhaps the phrase 'holy shit' might have been a little poorly worded considering the holy power adding an extra packed punch to her arrows, but fuck it. The archer was going to enjoy this immensely.

Finding herself late to the party due to a mass breakdown after the battle against the Ash Mouth, Harveste had rekindled her courage against the flames and joined the large party up in the volcanic area. She wasn't the type to fight normally, but in a game, it was natural to do things you normally wouldn't. Standing upon a bridge face to face with the Lord of Flames, she rushed into an attack. Sure, it'd probably kill her later, since it lowered her defense, but she could just get help later, right?

"This is me fighting my fears," She told herself. Using her grimoire, she attacked with the only magic she knew, recklessly sending plants towards the beast, even though she knew it would only lead to their becoming the same as the previous monster's name. With a battle cry- one she'd learned in martial arts many moons ago- she let out the most reckless barrage of magic she could, hoping to at least make a dent in the flames of fury in her sight.

Her clothes were hardly armor, and when the baron of flames spun himself up into a large looking inferno, Eleanor was spun full of heat. With a drip of sweat running down her forehead, part of her seriously regretted placing herself into the situation. Having accepted the call to battle, she had unknowingly accepted such discomforts.

"Looks like he... Got a bit bigger..." She whimpered to herself, a shiver running through her, due to the discomfort of the heat. "Alright." Glancing around, she saw that no one was in her particular vicinity... Not yet, at least. Placing her hand out reaching towards the great inferno, she focused her energy.

Set back into her mind, she pulled the energetic rubber band, the arcane energy swelling inside of her. Pulling, the tension grew and grew. Soon, the arm out reaching felt as though it was to snap off under the pressure, though the stress was not something physical. Trying to hold on for a few moments longer, without letting the arcane power fizzle away, it eventually became too much for her to bear. Letting go, the spark fizzled through the air, creating a line of contact between her finger, and the shoulder of the flaming beast.

A wave of hot air returned to her, blowing her back a moment later, just as the exhaustion hit her from her strike. Nearly falling backwards, she reached a hand up to keep her hat firmly placed upon her head. As particles of arcane static emanated from the zone she had attacked, she hoped her attack had done something worth while. Kneeling, she took a moment to reallocate herself, fearing that exhaustion without rest would certainly lead to death.

Glancing back at her surroundings, she took note of a swordsman, seemingly one with a big mouth. He spoke loud insults to the massive creature. Eleanor weakly sputtered to him, "H-hey!" Though, through all the ruckus about, perhaps he wouldn't hear her. Still, she had tried to speak something to @Roland Rutledge, perhaps to temporarily dissuade him from luring the creature's attention towards her own exhausted form, kneeling and panting.

He was just new to this game and right now, he was facing off against a gigantic monster made of elemental. In fact, even defeating that previous monster just gave birth to this fire elemental, which made this more complicated on his end. He was aware of his current strength so far, but being in that previous quest made him a little worried about the others. Besides, he can't turn back now that he realized how not only realistic this was, but he won't forgive himself if he did.

"Great. Just when I think playing this game wasn't enough pain than I thought it would be." When he took another look at the monster, he knew his sword and his spells weren't enough. Not only that, he did remember a potion he just made when he was working on increasing his Alchemy mastery. "Oh well, it might be a good time to use this. I hope it might work very efficiently than I expected."

Once he took out the said potion, he put a few drops on his sword and much to his surprise, it started to glow blue, which he guessed it worked. "Alright. Time to give this one a test run." Unlike last time, he didn't bother to use his spells as he just charged onto the fire elemental through the bridge before he swung his sword in an attempt to damage the fiery spirit.

    "Aaaaaaa..... Magnum Force!"

Beretta unleashed a powerful single impact with her fist. It slammed into pure fire and the heat was intense. Luckily it did not burn like she thought. That magic buff was doing a fine job. Her body Was literally right next to the mighty force of nature. Her fists and kicks were probably not looking very intimating. She closed her eyes and focused on her thoughts while fighting. The creature here was large so it would be impossible to stay safe for now. Beretta would have to weave in and out of the close range she was in. She had speed on her side as this being seriously lacked a quick counter to all the attacks it was taking. Of course a slower enemy in many cases meant a stronger one when they did do something.

For now she decided it best to stay near the support in the area. If things got bad it would be better to get bad around a nurse.

Ursa grimaced looking as the boulder managed to hit the enemy, though the result wasn’t something she enjoyed. The tinker-blacksmith sighed, checking her surroundings shortly. With a few steps back, ursa retreated enough to give plenty of space for other adventurers to fight off the burning giant. Noticing just how many approaches were used to attack let her know just how strong these newcomers were; there were fighter, swordsmen, mages and everything in between in this small war waged against one enemy in common.

Her mind raced, immersing the blacksmith in her thoughts as she planned different approaches for the fight since that monster would likely retaliate at any moment. Willing to remove another large boulder from the environment, Ursula noticed that her last similar attack resulted in a great toll on the steam engine of her suit.Gritting her teeth, ursula pointed her left gauntlet towards a nearby steam vent; the arm let out small quantities of steam to hiss out and launched like a rocket as an extending arm-connector to fuel the suit with the natural source of steam nearby.

“EY BIG TORCHPISS. THIS AIN’T GOT A GOOD KICK, BUT HAVE IT ANYWAYS!”

While her left arm fueled the suit with steam, Ursa pointed the right gauntlet to the monster. Much like her previous attack, the gears and machinery worked faster, steam hissing out from the engine on the back of the suit; the right arm was then shot like a rocket punch to the creature’s face, retracting and reeling in with great force shortly after generating a satisfying “clang” sound when the arm connected back to its proper socket.

Well great, just great, absolutely flawless victory, 10/10 Astor, you did a phenomenal job as a raid leader and as a King, with a capital K. Astor thought to himself. His thinking completely changed as soon as he temple started crumbling. With all of his might and vigor, Astor started hightailing out of the site of danger as the rocks and ceiling bits fell, smashing people and breaking the ground. Chaos was nigh in the air and he didn’t have much time to think.

Fortunately, he managed to escape from the temple just in time, though the bridge was broken by the time he reached the entrance. Knowing that he was not physically fit enough to jump over the large gap, Astor had to think fast. So, he put one of his arms around @Ilusa Nakhalee ’s waist and pointed the other behind him, angling it downward. "Hold on tight," he said as a quick chant came forth from his lips. When he finished he launched himself over the bridge with a fire blast.

It was there where he got to look upon the fiery colossal ripping through the fabric of space and time and stomping the temple flat. “What the fuck!” Astor exclaim, not knowing what else to say at the sight of such a giant. He was so large that his body practically filled up the entire area where the temple was. It was the first time Astor had seen anything that completely disorient him.

However, there was no time to rest as he felt a buff around his body. The source said it came from a person named Temperance. Opening up his palm menu to pull up the communication app, while he was chanting and pointing his arm at the elemental lord with the other, he multi-tasked, casting and texting at the same time.

Thanks for the buff, whoever you are. I’ll pay you back with a drink or dinner if we get out of this alive. @Temperance

After he had finished his chanting, he launched a wave of spiky ice at Azog. It seemed to have wound him deeply!

Much to his relief, his elixir-imbued sword managed to penetrate the elemental's body. Though, the only worry on his mind right now was the abilities it has. If it's a powerful attack that may affect him and everyone else, it might be very bad for the others as it may mow down the number of adventurers around him. Not to mention how long will his elixir last before he can add it again to his sword.

All worries aside, his mind remained calm as he charged onto the Prince of Fire once more, which he slashed the elemental's body with all of his current strength. If he wanted to prevent being caught by the Prince of Fire's attack, he might as well try to be prepared on dodging it.

There was a curl of satisfaction in her at seeing the new king of the new nation sweat as she eyed him. But it was overshadowed by the niggling-turned-to-gnawing worry as he dodged the question. She could not help but worry as he put emphasis on ‘that bad a deal’; as that meant that it was, in fact, a somewhat bad deal.

Even as he, for the moment escaped the further scrutiny and questioning (he was right, they were in the middle of a fight), Ilusa kept her attention on him and other players. She watched satisfied as health bards climbed up and felt a wave of restorative force wash over her; alien not hers. It capped her health at maximum and she glanced at the log, then at the person who cast the spell, committing the woman looks to her memories and waving back at @Temperance.

Astor, who did not act, but did… Provide commentary-slash-tips to other players and their actions. One of his words made her glance at the monster worriedly. “Mid-boss..?” Coupled with the words of the elemental, it made her sure that there would be another monster after it.

Which in turn made her cease the readying for next healing; conserving energy was a must. In the end, the fire spirit died in a rather uneventful way, but Ilusa could not help but fret, her tail swaying in an agitated manner as her eyes and ears were trying to spot the next monster boss.

Which was probably why she was not surprised by the massive earthquake and the following destruction of the temple. Which resulted in a mad dash to the safety, following after Astor. In the end, they stopped before a gap in a bridge and Ilusa again thought that yes, Rogue mastery is a thing she wants in her next slot.

Luckily Astor saved her; she trusted him so when he put his arm around her she held onto him, he was casting something. Then they were off, in the air; they landed safely and she felt relief that there was a land under her feet. “Thank you.” At his curse, she glanced where he looked.

The temple was in ruins, the sky was torn open, fiery hands ripped open the fabric of dimension as even greater fire spirit descended. “Oh.” Her voice was flat and she stood next to him shifting through her spells; everywhere everyone was in full health. In that case, she could buff; not well versed in that spell, she decided to tap the icon.

“…” Her eyes narrowed as she saw that Astor received a buff, but was gratified when it disappeared after single, powerful attack. It was now her turn to power @Astor Balthas up. Which she did. And as the light caressed him and wrapped him and gave him the boost to his damage, she spoke.

“There you go. Now you can hit it where it hurts again.” Ilusa said to him, her tail swaying in a rather smug way.

Of course that fire giant was just a small fry compared to the previous one, causing panic among the player base gathered here today. Wonderful. He should have expected this, however, since raids tended to have more than a couple sections, and bosses popped out at the strangest times. The sole thing left to do now was rush in and attempt to add more injury to the flaming jerk before he caused more damage than needed. Others had begun their assault, delivering their own heap of justice, carnage, and various meanings of beating up somebody. Alonso climbed through the rubble, leaping over falling debris so he could reach a safer position.

He was not alone in the area he ended up. More people in one spot the better, assuming the others split up in even distribution. Odd numbers were bound to happen though, which was a difficult thing to stop. Someone in the Felis's group had the proper abilities for him to damage Azog, and he was not about to let that opportunity slip, "You won't be a detriment to me! I've seen more than a handful of fire demons in my time." His famous roar jumbled in his throat, jumping forward and delivering a nice punch to Azog.

As much as exhaustion meant death, action was necessary. Eleanor gave herself the usual spiel, consisting of some things her parents used to tell her when she was little. Times when she sat with her head down over her homework, wishing she didn't have to do it. Action was necessary. So, raising up her hand again, she prepared another shot.

It seemed that all of those around the beast were contributing, many contributing more than herself. She had to try and match them, at least mirror a fraction of their power. Her previous shot would not suffice for the requirement she found herself necessary to meet.

Her eyes blurred, fading in and out of focus, like a broken camera. She was still exhausted from her previous strike. Squinting, she strained herself to bring the energies together, feeling the arcane energy amassing within herself. The tension began to rise. Concentration was tested. The kneeling woman in blue felt her jaw clench, and a twinge of pain wrack her brain. The spark, shooting out from her finger, merely fizzled upon meeting the hot air around it. A weak purple glow hit the air around her, soon vanishing.

Bringing a hand to her head, she lowered her face. The sounds of conflict rang in her ears, and she cursed herself for not being as strong as the others. "Damn it..." Hopefully, those who held more power would suffice, as it seemed her attack was brutally unsuccessful. So she remained, kneeling and exhausted. Her limits were shallow. She'd be wasting her time pushing them. Eleanor had to rest before attacking again.

Lucia couldn't help cracking her neck to either side with a heavy sigh. Things seemed to be going well, but the large lumbering creature hadn't even had a chance to retaliate. When it did, things would no doubt become a bit rougher. "@Ashiore Evretto, It will begin retaliating soon, please be careful." She spoke firmly thinking that it would be trouble if the one who was buffing and supporting their side got too injured. While Lucia could do the same, she had her hands full directing the Tal'darim. She tried glancing around to the others who were on her side of the battle at the moment, biting her lip she reached out to @Kyupin Felnya to try and pat her shoulder, a reassuring gesture. "Don't panic. If something happens me and Ashiore can bring you back-- If you still wanted to fight even after that second time, I could still bring you back." Lucia explained, flashing a kind smile even if her words might not be super reassuring. She was suggesting that if worse come to worse and normal revival failed, Lucia could bring her back just like she did the Death Knights who were currently fighting a war at the end of the extended bridge. Though she wanted to offer a few words to the @Ursa as well, the girl looked like she had everything figured out the best she could. @Harveste on the other hand was a familiar face, one that she recognized from the past like Ashiore. "Harveste, don't force yourself, if it's too much we can both support too." Lucia tried to hopefully encourage the girl not to be too stressed. There were a great many supporters on their side, even if she herself was only a hybrid supporter.

"Tal'Darim, continue pressuring the front, support the others." Lucia shouted over the chaos, not that her voice needed to reach the Death Knights. @Alonso Thorlion, @Verity and @Claire Thalassa would find the armored corpses joining them as a wave of human silhouettes that tried to leave plenty of space for the trio to fight while at the same time stay close enough to try and create openings or chances for the players that dealt more damage. The small 5 man cells still persistently kept wielding frosted spears to try and hack as violently at the creature as mercilessly as possible.
