War was coming to Terra. Or it had been going. On this topic, Azazel had very little idea of things because she was still very new to the game. The only reason she knew about the upcoming event was because her new friend Alric had told her as much. He didn’t give her a lot of detail, the man was one of few words, but he urged her to help with defenses, and that was exactly what the tiny Faerin meant to do. As a proactive little person, Zaz called upon the first friend she could find. Birdie was busy elsewhere today which meant that she would have to look for assistance elsewhere. Her friend’s list was small, but still pretty awesome, and her new friend Jomei was online. She messaged him and told him all about what was going on, and like a real trooper, he came through for her. the war efforts in Astorea required traps, and after much consideration, Azazel thought of the prefect one: spike pits. It was a rather fucked up choice, and not one the girl would ever make in the real world, but this was a game, and she meant for the players of Terra to win. So a pit digging the pair would go. Zaz sat atop the pit as the lovely Jomei was feet deep in a hole in the ground, shoveling dirt as quickly as he could. The little fairy wiped her brow, only spreading the dirt and sweat across her porcelain forehead leaving behind a muddy streak . She sighed heavily and looked down at her companion. “I’m sorry Jomei,” she said as she reached for her skin of water, “My constitution is terrible. You must be so awfully hot and tired,” she said as she removed the cork and offered him a drink. Their pit was nearly done. If Azazel didn’t have to stop every 20 minutes they might have been done, by now, but all in all, their work was rather good. “Are you feeling okay? You’re not tired are you?” she asked him. She didn’t know the fortitude of the elven people, but she was concerned that the young man might be growing weary. “I will help again in a moment,” Azazel whimpered.
Jomei was faily new to Terrasphere; his friends list was almost nonexistent, his gear was trash, and his Masteries were still unskilled. Most of all, Jomei did not know much of the lore that the game used to shape the world around them. When he first heard of Terrasphere, he had heard that the players actions weighed heavily on the politics and shape of the regions. However, his main focus was working on his own skills first. That was, however, until his new friend Azazel asked him for his help once again. The woman, whom he once thought was just a young girl, was drafted into the war effort. Since her skills were less battle related, however, she was asked to work on preparing traps of some sort for the enemy. Knowing it would be a tough job to do on her own, she called upon the help of Jomei. Once he had arrived, she had told the man just what her plan was; to create large pits with a false floor, spikes awaiting them at the bottom of the trench. A barbaric technique, but an efficient one nonetheless. Immediately, the two went to work digging their hole. The sun beating down on the two made the job that much more exhausting. Jomei had already removed most of his leather armor, leaving him in the sleeveless white shirt he words under his green shirt, his long leather gloves still covering his hands. Beads of sweat poured down every inch of his body, causing his already pale body to glisten in the light, despite dirt also covering every other inch of his exposed skin. The crimson haired man shoved the shovel into the dirt, taking in a couple gasping breaths as he turned to look up at Azazel, who apologized for not being able to help as much. She offered him her waterskin, which the man gladly took and sipped from. "I'm okay.. just need... take a short.. break.." he said, his voice sounding completely exhausted as he tried to wipe some of the sweat from his forehead. He took one last deep breath, leaning his body against the side of the trench. "Who.. who are we fighting in this war anyway..? This is the.. first I've heard of it.. since starting."
Jomei gratefully accepted the water and Zaz smiled as the elf drank. He needed a rest, an Azazel understood. Azazel rubbed her palms together and then held her hands out, palms forward toward Jomei. “Valetudo!” She cast. A soft glowing green aura pulsed from her hands and gently cascaded down over the young man. The light shimmered over his head and flowed down his shoulders and then toward his toes before sparkling into a glimmer and disappeared. “There now… that should help you feel a little better.” Zaz’s healing magic wasn’t very strong, but it was effective. If she could manage to build up her abilities, she would make a lovely healer in no time. Azazel climbed back down in the hole and took up her shovel while Jomei took a bit of a rest. He asked her what the war was a bout, but the girl lowered her head and blushed a bit. “Honestly…” Azazel said sheepishly, “ I’m not entirely too sure…” She began to laugh. “My friend told me that we were fighting Falderen and that they’re trying to cut off our trade routes, but beyond that, I’m not entirely too sure. I said I’d help because I was asked, but I suppose I should have found out if we’re even on the right side of things? I’m assuming we are since it’s us the players that are fighting Faleren. I haven’t been playing this game long enough to know all about what happened before I got here. It’s only been a couple weeks since I began to play.” She admitted. “I’m sorry that I dragged you into this.” Zaz felt stupid. What if they really were fighting on the wrong side. It was something she hadn’t thought much about before. The girl was typically easy to drag into all sorts of nonsense simply by asking her. Lina was a kind girl by nature, and she was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who would ask before truly considering the repercussions of the request. Her only goal was to help, but she realized that was individuals sometime asked of her, wasn’t always the right thing.
Jomei looked up to Azazel as she held her palms out towards the crimson haired man, calling out a word that he did not understand, though assumed it was some sort of spell. A green energy seemed to pass from her tiny hands and float through the air towards Jomei the aura, which almost felt like a light mist of cool water to him, trickled onto his weary, sun-beaten shoulders, and poured down his body to his dirt covered boots. He watched as the green energy would pour into the ground and slowly vanish. The spell that Azazel had casted onto Jomei relieved him of some of his weariness. Letting out a sigh of relief, Jomei looked back up to the small woman who sat above him with a smile. "Thank you Azazel." he said with a warm smile. The Faerin woman hopped down into the pit aside of Jomei, taking the shovel that he had stuck into the ground, allowing Jomei to take a short break. Taking a step back, Jomei leaned his already dirty back against the wall of the hole, asking Azazel about the war that they were apparently preparing for. Hesitantly, the woman answered, telling him that she was not sure either, and that she had only agreed to help because a friend had asked her as well. Jomei was starting to wonder how many people were drafted to this cause because a friend asked them. However, she was able to give the archer a quick explanation of what she was told was going on, between the players and Falderen, protecting their trade routes and all. Jomei nodded his head, trying to follow along. "Well.. if everyone else seems to be taking this side.. I guess we did choose the right side after all." he said with a chuckle, looking to the small woman with a smile. "I don't mind helping out how we are.. since I'm just as new as you are, I don't plan on going to fight anyone without knowing just who we are fighting.. but doing some odd jobs like this to help out the cause.. I think I can donate my time."
