Private - Whistling of the White

  1. "Again, I don't know for sure, but as you've agreed, it just makes sense like that." Zelrius thought it over in his head to double check his line of reasoning. She brought up the point herself; the huge influx of players would have surely driven those populations far out by now, right? Or maybe not actually? The world of Terra was to scale with Earth, or so it felt like, and the vast expanses of Wilderness leave up a lot to question. Humans hunt in bigger numbers in places like Colorado or Wyoming and those creatures haven't been driven out yet, obviously. Now the man began to ponder how many times he had actually ran into someone else throughout the wide expanses of plains of Brisshal. Just once, with Savannah, and even that was on a Road where they were headed opposite directions looking for similar things. "You know, maybe there might just be so many of them? Maybe the sudden appearance of movement in certain areas might just be them noticing your own movement and entering Fight or Flight? Honestly, now I am confusing myself. But at the same time, near the Beginners Cave, there's still plenty of Boars and Hawks to go around, even though they should, theoretically be wiped out, atleast in that small area. These are questions that might have to be further investigated should I ever get the chance..." He trailed off, reignited into the conversation by her mention of the piglets, his expression becoming a bit sheepish as he explained. "Well uh, me and this lady were wandering Brisshal, and we were pulled aside by some Farmers who were having their things wrecked by wild boars. So we set off to hunt down the boars and came upon a small den of their piglets wandering about. Ms. Reed has the foresight to say that we should capture and raise them to defend the farm against all threats, rather than us solving this one threat this one time. I seconded the idea so we captured them and took them back to the Farmers' Barn, where Ms. Reed Bathed and fed them, and I built them a small shack on the side of the Barn to live under. Within time, they grew," He stopped and looked back into the distance, a bit longingly, "Perhaps I should visit and see how they're doing."

He didn't talk more about the point of Astorea and Astor being destabilizing factors; only nodded in whole-hearted agreement. "Yes, I encourage you to look more closely and ask questions about things you might curious about, only to go forth and have those questions answered by observations, rather than assumptions." Though his face kind of contorted. "At the same time, if it sounds like too much work, I understand why you, and many others, don't care enough to delve that deeply into the inner workings of a world. It is just a game after all, and if it isn't something you enjoy doing, then there's no point. Though at the same time, I know there are a few things I enjoy doing that I haven't done, mostly because Terrasphere takes up most of my time."

He laughed at her comment, a bit embarassed. "You know full well I wasn't great company on the way home," His teeth grated a bit, remembering how mopey he was when they first set out at home, and how full of energy he was by the end of the ride. "The others on the the other hand, were fantastic. Romulus was hilarious, Claire and Blake were great, you were ever so considerate, and it's always entertaining to feed Magi's childlike curiosities. Though she seemed to be a level smarter than I am used to with people her age. Though I guess I don't know her age, she might just be a small late-teenager. Though her mannerisms say otherwise."

He grinned now, the expression ever changing with the conversation. "Yes a close call in some points indeed. But, isn't that part of the fun of a game like this? As badly as it went for myself, I still remember the thrill of running through the poison cave, being revived only to want to kill the frogman, and then the anxiety inducing siege of the fort. Along with the added pressure once the Scout was out for the count. That's the kind of stuff people only dream for in video games, and here we are, getting to experience it first hand." He checked his messages in his menu just to look at the names. "Same, actually. I haven't heard from Romulus since, and I imagine you have a tight leash on that Foxlady, but other than that, I have seen Claire, Magi and Blithe a few times. Blithe not so much, but I expected she might be a tough cookie to find on a regular basis. What with her whimsical ways of going about things." He'd have to search her out, but it was impossible to guess where one might find her on a regular basis.

Vina tried to press the issue on the Royal Family of Falderen, specifically, D'Vangelline, to which Zelrius cut the conversation entirely short by only answering her questions directly and keeping replies short. "No, I don't think it will help. She helped those prisoners out of her own interests. That's why we were off taking a Fort in her name, instead of a group effort to save the prisoners." He really appreciated her want to help, and if there was anyone he would be willing to open up to about it, it would be her. However, a lack of information and a growing desire to somehow oust both D'Vangelline and Astor as Monarchs left him with this subject not being the one he was interested in talking about, mostly because he liked the air of good feelings surrounding the pair, and didn't want to infect it with disdain for people who had nothing to do with them.

"Right, for pirates, as long as it is navigable, I don't think they really care so long as they can use it to get from point A to point B." And as if by a writing plot device, the Jungle began to slowly melt away as buildings came into view on the other-side of the road. "Speaking of Point B," Zelrius laughed and gestured, giving a gentlemanly 'you first' type gesture so that he could follow closely behind, completely forgetting the fact that he was the one who wanted to stop here on their way up the mountain.
