  1. Ancient wisdom and knowledge were a treasure many decidedly ignored during their lives: after all, what would a rancher or a farmer need that for? Knowledge did not feed a large family, and it barely fed a single person. Knowledge was useless to most... But not to Rashn. The hulking man found himself squatting beneath a tree, staring down at some broken vase shards he'd almost stepped on while on his stroll. These seemed old, covered in dirt and grime, so they hadn't been introduced here recently... Now that he thought back, he hadn't met anyone near this location. No logging huts, no lone hunters.

Maybe he had entered a place that time had much forgotten? Such a thing seemed possible: the forest was expansive, covering acres upon acres, hills and vales. A portion of it could easily be unexplored. Or someone simply did not find enough interest in these small shards to research them further. Rashn pocketed the broken bits and hummed to himself before continuing on his stroll, eyes nailed upon the ground in search of more shards. He did not find any, but he almost walked into a tree quite a few times. That'd be embarrassing.

With those thoughts on his mind, he walked into a stone wall.

A low, thundering grumble left Rashn as he rubbed his nose, staring up inquisitively at what he had collided with: the stone wall seemed about as old as the shards he'd seen before, based on how age had knocked portions of it down, along with the flora that had begun to crawl up the wall in the form of vines and other such things. He felt the temptation to climb the wall, but chose against such an action to instead circle around it, trying to determine how long it was.

About three minutes passed until the wall came to an end. Based on the looks of it, this must've been the wall for some building. Perhaps a house? A stone house made sense, at least to Rashn. He made his way around the corner and behind the wall to examine it. This side was just as crumbled as the other, although there weren't any vines on this side. Very interesting... If this house was here, maybe other ruins were nearby? He'd have to investigate further.

After taking a break, that is. He'll sit himself down against the wall and sigh, closing his eyes. A little nap will do, maybe. His feet are killing him.
