Or rather, she's a girl who rarely shows her true self. She has chosen to go through life hiding her emotions for the sake of others. Apple goes to great lengths to keep others from being upset. She has a tendency to worry over others when the worry is unnecessary. Because of her upbringing and abilities, Rose has always been a bit of a worrywart. She constantly frets over small issues. Throughout her entire life, Apple was surrounded by calmer older figures. It wouldn't be untrue if one said that she's never had a friend who wasn't over the age of forty five. As a result, her sense of normal companionship and mannerisms are very different from most teenage girls. Apple isn't use to being around people her own age, and as a result, she can become very awkward in certain situations. Growing up, Apple studied under the man. He was an alchemist of some notable fame. She never played with other children or even met kids her age. The cabin was too isolated for that. So, her companions were her 'fathers' customers and assistants, all elder men and women. Apple doesn't have childhood memories of running through the forest and playing. She has memories of helping her father organize the cabin and watching him make medicine. From a very young age, it became obvious that Apple was gifted with magic. However, her magic was often more of a hindrance when left alone. As such, she's been undergoing quite a bit of studying ever since she was younger in an attempt to control it.
