Bishamonten has light yellow colored skin, with piercing brown eyes and a bald head. His face is a bit thin and he has a tiny nose and thin lips. He stands at 5’10” and generally wears Buddhist monk’s clothes. The color of his robe is usually an orange yellow color. He carries a pagoda with him everywhere, sometimes a spear too. For social occasions among the gods, he changes into his battle armor, which consists of a samurai helmet, a chest plate, gauntlets, and greaves.

    Height: 5’10”
    Build: Stocky and muscled

    Personality

Bishamonten is a fair individual, unable to really stand injustice in any form. Because he meditates so often, he usually has a look of peace on his face, unless he’s fighting in which case his face becomes as hard as steel. He stands up to people who bully others and is fairly generous, giving gifts to those in need or if people ask for it. Even if he knows people are just using him for money, he doesn’t really mind and continues to give. Prior to his mellow attitude, he was very warlike and bloodthirsty. Some traces of it remain when it comes to serving justice. He's very interested in the phrase, "An eye for an eye." He's learned not to let his emotions control him, but if you make him angry you will be meeting the end of his spear.

    Positive: Peaceful, calm, disciplined
Negative: Overly generous, stubborn in changing beliefs, justified

    Biography

The Bishamonten when he was younger was very different from the Bishamonten of today. He was much more hotheaded and bloodthirsty. Often he would participate in warfare and had fun mowing down his opponents, loving the blood splattering on him.

This lifestyle would not last, however. While wandering the world below, he met someone who was just sitting under a tree peacefully. He didn’t think much of it, but when he passed by that tree again, he was still there, even though it was already nighttime. Curious, he asked the person what he was doing. They answered, “Meditation,” and invited him to meditate along with him. Amused, he decided to try it out and the two sat there for about 30 minutes. But during that time, he felt so calm and peaceful, without any worries whatsoever. After that moment he decided to stick around for a bit in order to learn more from the human.

The human was accommodating and often taught him a lot of things he would’ve never learned if he were in a battle. Like making tea for example, or playing the flute. Calming hobbies that had nothing to do with warfare and soon he began to love the peaceful life. He realized there was more to it than just fighting and sought to change his ways.

Unfortunately the human was killed by a group of bandits. Enraged, Bishamonten followed them and came upon them threatening a village. He smote them and the village thanked him for saving them, inviting him to stay. But he didn’t, he had to go back to the world above. The killing of the bandits made his mind chaotic, so he decided to meditate on it. He found that injustice still existed in several parts of the world and what better way to help others than bringing justice? And so he began to look for such injustices and correct them, finding a new lease on life.

When the other gods decided to seal their power away, he decided to follow them, wary of the Dungeon. If such a thing existed, than it needed to be sealed. But instead, it was used as a tourist attraction, a place where other adventurers could test their mettle. No longer hotheaded, he decided to open up a tea shop while observing the world around him. He hoped that some adventurer would come and right the wrongs the Dungeon brought. But until then, he’ll just continue making tea.
