BRIAREUS Pantheon: Greek Looks: Nineteen Sex: Male Sexuality: Heterosexual Relationship: Single Yes, this visage isn’t his true form. Can anyone really blame him though? Nobody in their right mind walks around mortals with fifty heads and a hundred hands... It’s just asking to get goggled at. The oddly youthful appearance by the titan though was an entirely conscious decision for whatever unknown reason. Height: 5’10” Build: Lithe and willowy Personality Given Briareus’ history, the god has several glaringly obvious faults that quickly come to mind. After eons of endless imprisonment by his own father, the man’s become a bit of a socially awkward anomaly at times. More often than not, he ends up saying things that might come off as too straightforward or perhaps odd. Fully aware of his own shortcomings, the god has remedied this by turning into a shut-in, resulting to shyness and silence around strangers when unsure of how to behave. These years of isolation also branded Briareus with an utterly unswayable sense of forgetfulness. Both the good and the bad things, they leave a fairly small impact on the relatively naïve god due to having habitually tuned everything out in order to endure the endless boredom of imprisonment. Positive: Observant, leisurely, kind, open-minded, empathetic Negative: Lazy, forgetful, naïve, blunt, obvious Biography Briareus’ past is rather short. Spending a majority of his life imprisoned by his own father, he eventually was set free by Zeus, his nephew. After enduring the countless eons of endless solitude, the titan was unprepared to interact with others on a larger scale, insisting that he stay at the prison. Rather than confining his own uncle however, Zeus charged him as a warden of the prison... and that was that. Or so Zeus had thought. Undertaking the alias Aegaeon, the Hecatoncheiries occasionally snuck away from his duties. Parading as a god of sea storms, he caused chaos and destruction across vast expanses of ocean in order to alleviate his boredom. Besides his occasional mischief making, Briareus also squandered away time to slowly learn what few interpersonal skills he could comfortably understand. The resulting cycle of extreme action and inaction continued for a seemingly endless period. That all changed however. Given enough personal visits and pestering, the titan eventually agreed to descend with Zeus to the realm of mortals, joining him on the initial charade which resulted in the creation of the tower of Babel. Since then, he’s contently lazed about on the god’s sofa in order to further understand human interactions.
