Crafting Draft

Discussion in 'Concepts & Feedback' started by Asch, Oct 8, 2016.

  1. The basics

In order to start crafting from level 1, you must choose the Crafts archetype in your application. Doing so allows you to choose one of the crafting Development Abilities listed below.
    • Blacksmithing: metal weapon
    • Metalworking: metal armor
    • Leatherwork: leather armor
    • Weaving: cloth armor
    • Carpentry: wooden weapon / furniture
Alchemy is currently not implemented yet and will be a future addition.

    What's the crafts archetype?

    There are 2 versions:
    1. Regular Craft: 200 AP, 1 skill, 1 craft (may not take weaving)
    2. Magic Craft: 200 AP, 1 spell, 1 craft (may not take blacksmith or metal smith)

Wait, what if I don't pick up crafting at level 1? Also, can I take more than one craft?

If you don't take it as a starting archetype, you can take it as your level-up bonus. And yes, you may.

How do I increase my stat in these crafting skills? The same way you increase your basic abilities: you contact your god and have said god update your status for you after you send them your AP.

Keep in mind that these are development abilities, as such, it costs 2 AP to increase 1 point in said ability. However, these development abilities are permanent and do not reset at the time of level up.

    How do I craft?

In order to craft an item of a certain rank, you must check if the user has the appropriate-ranked item from the shop. Then, you must look at your rank in said craft. At [H] rank, you may only forge an [H] ranked item.

There will be a special currency called “Materials” that are only obtainable when you RP in the dungeon. It currently costs 4 points to craft weapons and 3 point to craft armor. You must pay a mod before you can craft.

What happens when you craft an item?

Each item has certain stats that can be assigned. Any stat with an /2 (divide 2) next to it requires twice the points to raise, because it is that item’s weakness.

    Item Types

    1-H Weapons:
    • Durability – self-explanatory
    • Wieldiness – ease of use
    • Lethality (/2) – weapon damage

    2-H Weapons:
    • Durability – self-explanatory
    • Wieldiness (/2) – ease of use
    • Lethality – weapon damage

    Heavy Armor:
    • Durability – self-explanatory
    • Protection – self-explanatory
    • Mobility (/2) – how easy is it to move while worn

    Medium Armor:
    • Durability – self-explanatory
    • Protection (/2) – self-explanatory
    • Mobility – how easy is it to move while worn

    Light Armor:
    • Durability (/2) – self-explanatory
    • Mobility – self-explanatory
    • Magic – how much it makes casting spells more efficient
What does a crafted item look like?

Assuming the crafter has H-199 in blacksmithing

    Brimstone Mace [1-handed, H] durability: 25, wieldiness: 25, lethality: 49 - cool description bro. @Asch

    More questions

Okay, how do I get points to assign?

Let’s go through an example: Let’s say your blacksmith is at [H] 150. When you craft a basic iron sword, 150 points to assign. Another example, your weaving is [G] 267, if you crafted a cloak, you have 267 points to assign. Higher-rank means higher quality of items.

What if I am G-ranked in blacksmith and wanted to create an [H] item? Easy, you have 199 points to spend. Basically, the full points up to G-200.

How do I enchant weapons or armor with magic?

Wait until you can craft D-ranked items.
