Hey Sister I’m so glad you wrote back! I was beginning to think- well, it was more Challah’s thought, but anyway, we thought you had died. It took a really long time to get your letter too, since we no longer live in Sezyana. The only reason we know about what happened with you is because Bazlama is now managing the bakery with his wife. Can you believe it? Him, married? Oh yeah, that girl he was with the last time you were here broke up with him. Never did like her, ew. Ooooh man, I almost forgot! Did you know Father was a noble once?! I mean, how the heck? Why is he living in a bakery when he was a rich noble all along? He never told anyone about it, except to Mother. Because Mother gets to know everything, he said. Ugh. Anyway, we all came to live in Father’s old mansion and Brioche and I are in a private school while Halva is in college. She’s majoring in music and wants to be a teacher. She also has a boyfriend now, another Hume Bunny that acts a lot like Challah. He drives me crazy, I tell you! Challah also has a girlfriend and Naan’s married too, to another Hume Bunny. Both of them. Yeah, a lot happened while you were away! We’re nobles now, it’s so weird. I miss my old friends back in Sezyana, all the guys at my school tend to bully me. Don’t worry, Brioche and I got each other’s backs. Another thing that happened was that Mother got pregnant again. She, um, lost the baby. Yeah, it’s a real downer. Uh, what other bad news do I have? Uh, well, being a noble is tough. You have to learn all these fancy manners- I mean, etiquettes and you have to go to parties and ugh! I hate being a noble, I wish they had never found Father in Sezyana. Brioche tried being a tomboy for a while after you left. It didn’t really work out for her well. She’s not like you, after all. I guess it was her way of showing how much she missed you. Everyone’s missing you, in fact. We wish you’re coming home someday. Though we probably have to give you the new address if you’re gonna try to visit us. I hope your adventures are as fun as when we played in the fields! Your little brother, Rye
