  1. The baby was born to two bakers, one of noble descent and the other just a baker. She was the fourth in the family, a number that would eventually reach to seven. Both parents were happy that this baby girl was born and gave her the name Marzipan.

The baby didn’t cry much. Rather, she took in the world out of curiosity, only crying when she was sad. It was this quiet baby that love and blessings were given to, even if the love and blessings were shared amongst the children. The baby grew up into a toddler, one that carried herself high as she stumbled around. And it made her parents happy, that the toddler grew up safe and sound.

The little girl helped her parents every day in the bakery they owned. Though she wasn’t allowed near the oven, she at least helped make cookies and bread. The dough felt plush in her tiny hands as she kneaded it, carrying a winning smile on her face. She wasn’t the only one who made bread, her siblings helped too.

The little girl played in the fields when she wasn’t working. She played with her little brother, giggling as they stayed out in the sun. Hide and seek, tag, it didn’t matter what game they played. She had fun with all the games she played in, with all the children of her little town coming over to play in the tall grass. It made her happy, and seeing others happy also made her happy.

The little girl was a tomboy, one who didn’t back down from bullies or, sometimes, adults. She stood with her head held high, fighting the world that wanted to throw cruelty in her way. She succeeded as she fought and she was left alone, for the most part. She fought for her younger siblings too, for she loved them with all her heart.

The girl had met an old Hume Bunny when she was thirteen. He was a grizzled old fellow, with scars lining his face and a frown constantly on his lips. Still, she was curious about the Hume Bunny and wanted to learn more about him. So what if there were rumors circulating around him? She wanted to meet him.

The girl soon found out that he was a nice man, despite his appearance. He was a fighter, just like her. Except he didn’t fight people, no. He fought monsters, legends, false gods. He fought them all and came out with a winning smile.

The girl soon became enamored with him. She wanted to learn more about the things he fought. Heck, she wanted to fight too. So she asked the old fellow to tell her stories at night, while during the day he would train her in the art of warfare. She was met with resistance, both from her parents and from the old man. But she persisted and eventually the old man accepted.

So the girl spent her days helping with the bakery and training with the grizzled warrior. She learned much from him, how to use weapons in both hands and how to block someone’s attacks. He taught her so many things and for that she was grateful.

The young woman heard whispers from people who passed by the town. They were only rumors, but she heard that the gods had descended and had taken residence in the mortal realm. They said they were helping people in whatever way they can.

That didn’t interest the young woman at all. No, she was interested in the adventures that those travelers experienced. From their mouths, came stories of the monsters they fought. Already some of the people she grew up with had left the town to earn their fortune, for there was a place where stones could be traded in for money. With such an easy way to collect money, who wouldn’t pass that up?

The woman had felt that she was ready for whatever lay ahead. The two quarreled over the issue, with him feeling like she wasn’t ready while she insisted that she was. Five years. She had trained with him for five years and that wasn’t enough? She yelled at him, he yelled back. But eventually he tossed her out, saying to go on ahead and risk her life. She had never felt better.

The young woman went to the local blacksmith and asked if he had weapons and armor in preparation for the trip. The blacksmith sent her away, not believing for a moment that she was serious. She came back the next day, and the day after that. On the fourth day he relented. Heading back into his shop, he brought out two short swords and some steel armor he had made. They hadn’t been in use for a while, but she was happy with it nonetheless. He fixed the armor so that it was made for her body and soon she appeared before her family, fully armored and with two short swords by her sides.

The young woman explained her intentions to her family, saying that she was going out into the world to make her fortune. Her family accepted, albeit grudgingly so. She kissed and hugged each one of her family goodbye before the young woman set off.

The woman had traveled from place to place, carrying her weapons and armor and the recipe for the bread her parents gave her as a parting gift. She cherished everything that was given to her as she traveled, sleeping out in the open and staying at inns and taverns whenever it was needed.

The woman slew some monsters on the way too. She had to practice on something, after all. After the gods had descended, they sealed most of the monsters away. But some continued to roam the mountains and fields and plagued the towns that had no protection. She took it upon herself to rid these towns of monsters, earning the town’s respect in the process.

The woman found it all tiring, but well worth it. She worked odd jobs for a few weeks before moving on to the next town. She continued to travel, day after day. And when she saw the people living in peace, she became happy.

Sometimes the woman regretted her decision to leave home. She missed the fields she grew up in, she missed her family, she missed her mentor. But that didn’t stop her from going out into the world to make her fortune. Far from it, in fact. She felt their support even when she was so far away and used that to continue her journey, step by step.

The woman arrived in Orario City four years after she left home. Here, she realized, was where her legend will begin. Already people flocked to the Dungeon to earn their name, with the blessings of the gods given to them. She knew then, that she was home.

The young woman found her god that would grant her the strength to fight monsters within the Dungeon. And as the woman went down into the Dungeon, she met many knew people. Every day, she would work hard to earn her keep and she couldn’t have been happier.
