Greetings DRP'ers! It has come to our attention that god characters are growing tremendously in number. While it is great that people are having a lot of fun playing their god(s) and enjoying the story, there are drawbacks to having a large population of gods as well. To address these concerns, we are going to slowly implement rules regarding god registration and how god characters are played. First, we will be mandating that everyone may have one and only one god. God players should delicate all of their resources to their one god. This is primarily because gods actually need to work to establish a social and political standing in Orario. Gods do not inherit any kind of power or status when they descend from heaven. The fact that they are gods made it so nobles and royals support them to help them get started, but they expect the gods to become influential or economically powerful so they can take back their investment with interest. As such, we don't want gods to rely on their mythological standing to affect the plot in big ways; all gods must earn their right to be powerful in this world, before they can accomplish big things. This is no different than adventurer characters who have to start out weak and gradually build their character into a monster killing machine. Second, the application for gods will be a lot stricter considering that gods are basically pseudo staff that need a lot of experience and dedication to play. We will require that people start out playing as an adventurer first to see how gods are played, before they can apply for one. In any case, anyone who currently has more than one god should begin thinking about dropping their less active of the two. When the rule is in effect (it is not in effect yet), all AP and GP already earned may be transferred to their primary god. Also, if they are in a thread, please start having them exit. The only exception to this rule are those directly involved with running the story (i.e. just me at the moment); however, I will be hiring more. Thank you for taking the time to read this!
