Incidents in which Ishtar behaves not unlike a spoiled child are many. The plague of boredom struck none other than the fickle and easily distracted Ishtar harder than most. The goddess, in her endless pursuit of "true love", was one of the first to descend to the earth when all the pantheons agreed. Even before that she had made descents to that end, hoping to sate her need. Even the hero Gilgamesh did not miss her eye: though he had choice words for Ishtar, and in spurning her advances caused great destruction over the land when she complained to her father Anu. In her descent however she found that she could not so easily fall in and out of love without more dire consequences: the more she left tears in her wake, the harder it became for her to establish her Familia. Her reputation as a goddess was soured long before she ever took the guide of a human. How troublesome, indeed! Fixing the issue would take some time and effort, and at the cost of fighting against her own impulses. Becoming a proper and respected goddess of love and war -- easier said than done, unfortunately. In fact, the thought of trying to impose upon herself under any kind of restriction beyond what was already in place seemed like nonsense! Her self-control, or lack thereof, was legendary to say the least. But still she resolved to accomplish a number of things. Most prominent of which: conquering the Dungeon itself with her Familia. And when all was said and done, her ultimate plan -- to put together a team of the best gladiators around, equipped with whatever treasures they could scrounge up from the depths. After all, it was decided that games of war would be the thing to settle arguments, so what better way to ensure that one was in control of the deciding factor? That way, no god or goddess could possibly contest it when she makes the decision to pursue a new fling. An absolutely diabolical plan.
