Outside the Tower of BabelEarly Morning A humming buzzed from lips of the kitsune that curiously gallivanted around the outside corridor of the Tower of Babel. She looked around, turning the shoulders of those in her vicinity with brute force. Looking them over, before a look of disappoint would fall upon her visage. She was in search for a party, people that looked like they presented some sort of help to her to her mission of obtaining some loot. She wasn't too strong herself, so she needed strong allies in order to ensure her own safety. Plus, clearing rates of all the floors were extraordinarily better with multiple people to help in the efforts. Though, it did thin out the loot. Nonetheless, she continued to search abruptly turning the bodies of those that stood in groups judging them by looks and posture alone. "Nope." She would repeat as she grew dissatisfied with each body she seemed to come upon. Her scurrying limbs came to a halt where should pouted, whipping her arms to her side. "Is anyone here even strong?" She shouted her neck tensing with the volume of her speech. The goggles upon the top of her cranium sliding down over her eyes, making her blush slightly as she muttered a small grunt in embarrassment. While it was only a party that she was in search of she also wished to make friends, though she wasn't going about it in the right way, exactly. She just had certain characteristics that she liked in people that seemed to jump out at her, none of which laid within the poor souls she showcased her rudeness to. So there she'd wait for a response from someone that would meet the criteria. As though the Gods were just going to place three extraordinary candidates right before her. Like that would happen. ♚ BERA ♚ == @Noah Gensch == == @Shian Amai == == @Naburo Keilz == == 302 ==
NOAH Under normal circumstances during the early portions of the day the direction of traffic towards the dungeon entrance would be a one way street with everyone looking to get in before more of the crowds showed up though as soloists and groups trekked towards the stairs the steady stream of of pattering feet would be broken by a duo already leaving the dungeon. One of them not even bothering to move out of the way for the stream of people passing him as he literally dragged the other by his pack strap who had a leg that was clearly broken and had the expression of one that needed to say something about this... situation "I... I'm sorry... that goblin came out of nowhere." As the man being dragged spoke the stoic un-amused expression on the other ones face did not even budge rather as the dragged man finished speaking he let go of the strap that was dragging the man along and holding him upright causing his body to flop down on the ground making quite a unsavory sound of bone on stone as it did. "Really? Ugh... Ow yea such a terrifying creature, you know maybe if you didn't trip on the steps and break your leg heading down you wouldn't of seen that ow so powerful goblin." as his words spread with a air a mocking sarcasm the look on the injured man's face changed to something more akin to what you would find on a dog that was just caught red handed rummaging through the trash. As he finished speaking he turned around and snatched up the injured man's coin purse. "Hey! Noah what are you...." "I told you before we went down that if I had to drag your sorry lump out of there it was going to cost you." speaking as he cut the injured man off mid sentence and after pocketing some of the gold out of the purse he tossed it back down onto the injured man "I would say it's been a pleasure but that would require some wouldn't..." "Is anyone here even strong?" Before Noah could finish throwing a few more jab's at the idiot that he just dragged up gods know how many steps some pouting girl next to him started to yell out about something that he only caught the last word or two of. The sound of the girls words caused the sounds from the nearby crowds to stand to a near halt creating a air of deafening silence. His head instinctively turned towards the source making direct eye contact with the source with a questioning stare "...Why are you yelling randomly near people?" For one to only wish for a miraculous day full of mystery, excitement yet danger was often a hard wish to fulfil. Especially given that one never happened to have such days rarely ever happen to her. Apart from the times the feminine imp tried to create some fruits bear herself there wasn’t a time where things just naturally came together, after all with these so-called adventurers often underestimating her fantastic abilities along with the fact that she didn’t quite want to go another day without food from attempting to wander into the dungeon by herself, all she could hope to do was wait for the stars to align so that a chance may make itself known. And boy those stars were taking their time. The cyan haired female sat legs crossed, staring into the masses of people whom walked in and out of the tower, some coming in by themselves while others being just simply alone. Some even happened to come out injured or bloodied but the teen didn’t pay attention to those weaklings. No, she only wanted the toughest of the tough, the rowdiest of the bunch and she didn’t even keep it to herself. “Weak, weak… weak.” She jabbed at the people whom passed by her, most returning her words with glares while she would counter back by taunting with a stuck out tongue. A yawn of boredom presented itself, before she steadied herself up, palm tapping against a sheathed blade around her waist. “That’s it, I’ve decided. I’m just going to march my way right into that-” Words stopped in the tracks by a howl that had beckoned her, the very words said that would cause her to turn with sparkles settled within her eyes. The call of strength, it was only natural that she would be lulled towards its source, totally being the self-proclaimed strongest person she ever knew. A brunette Runarl was seen along with a Human- or tall Pallum or even a Dwarf? It was a difficult thing to tell, not that she cared much. All she knew was that one of them called for her, approaching the middle of the two with her chest out, brandishing a coy smile. “So… *ahem*… I heard you were looking for… a strong person.” Not even Odin could match the rate that her eye brows wiggled, “Because… that’s me, if you didn’t get what I was suggesting. Then again, I’m pretty sure you did. No one can second guess the greatness of someone special as me. Astounded, I’m sure.”424 @Eliah Tsundora @Noah Gensch @Naburo Keilz
You Make Me Laugh While there was some time between his next duty in the Council office and a dungeon, Naburo was debating just ditching his duty for today. Biting the bottom of his lip he looked at the time and sighed. Yup, hes going to skip his duties for the day. Rubbing his chin slightly, Naburo went to his room and grabbed his swords. Taking the swords and putting them onto his belt, he looked at himself in the mirror. He looked ready. Grabbing his white cloak he began walking toward the dungeon. A few people recognized him, some even knew him personally as he passed by stalls and blacksmiths. Waving at the ones he knew and smiling at the ones he didnt; it took him roughly 20 minutes to arrive at the dungeon and descend down the steps in order to get to the first floor. Oh, let’s just say there were times he wished he could just teleport to levels, but he didnt have that kind of skill or luck. He didn’t know if even the Gods or Goddesses could. If they could that would have been useful before the rules had been set down. But the rules were there for a reason, it was to keep the dungeon fair and orderly. If a god stepped in, the Tower itself would activate against them and attack them since they would be useless. As he walked through the first level he helped a few new adventurers out for no reason other than wanting to assist. Even though he was assisting he did say his help had a cost, which was only one or two soul stones. For about six hours he did this with new adventurers until he had collected a good amount. Turning in the soul stones for the gp they were worth he counted it out to be roughly 20. It was a good amount for such a floor. Now, what was he going to do. He was ignoring the council at the moment till the leader came back from the lower floors. Taking in a deep breath, Naburo decided to go get some food from a nearby stall. Ordering food and drink he sat there at a table and ate, simply listening to everyone. As he looked toward one person he was spoken to by another adventurer; this one a bit more further down the floors. “So Naburo, why do you stay so far up the floors? I mean seriously youre so much better than that. In fact you can join us in a few weeks when we go on an expedition.” Naburo chuckled softly, “Well, I might take you up on that. Now, the reason I am staying in the upper levels is because I am helping the new familia members as well as attempting to collect enough gp to build up a nice adventurer’s pack.” The man had laughed and then patted him on the shoulder. “As you say Naburo. Well it seems miss Bella wants to leave so I’ll see you in a few weeks.” The man then left leaving Naburo to eat the rest of his food alone. Naburo then sighed softly before finishing his food. Once it was finished he decided it was time to go back to the dungeon. It was a few minutes travel but when he had arrived, his eyes had spotted Eli and a few others. She kepts asking for ‘strong’ people. “Well now...thats just like you Eli.” Naburo then walked up to her and smiled. “So you going into the dungeon? What floor are you aiming for? I will gladly help if we go to the 3rd or 4th floor, it’s a lot of fun down there and we’ll see more creatures.” Looking at the other two, he smiled at them. Dipping his head in light respect Naburo introduced himself. "Hello you two, my name is Naburo Keilz. I am part of the Zeus Familia much like Eli here. I would much appreciate it if you two would agree to go with my and Eli to the 3rd or 4th floor." @Eliah Tsundora @Shian Amai @Noah Gensch
Outside the Tower of BabelEarly Morning ((Don't mind the current word count, we will definitely not be posting at this high of a word count when we get inside.)) Maybe the Gods would answer her call, after all. The silence would break by the voice of someone with a rather sharp tongue, tilting her head she turned to find the source. When she did so her head would jolt back slightly at the man, why was a ginger talking to her like that? Soulless bastard, how did he even serve a Familia with that ghost-like complexion of his that radiated the words 'good for nothing'. Her face would sag as a small grunt left her mouth, the unimpressed look upon her face wished not to break to respond to the boy. Though she could tell by his cocky attitude that he had to have something to back up that attitude with. He'd make a fine pick for her party, though she was still unimpressed with him as a whole or acted as such, at least. However, she'd be in luck as she'd find another body to respond to her call of strength. Though this one was rather odd and tiny. Her hair was an odd color but it wasn't too unusual just not regular, whatever that meant. She'd blink twitch, her lips puckered as a finger tapped upon her bottom lip, looking the small girl up and down. She was entirely too cute for Eliah not to shift from her unimpressed look to a puddle of goo once Shian began to speak. The coy smile followed by the rapid bouncing of her left Eliah a puddle for a moment as she gazed upon the cutest being in Orario. Her eyes glistened as she heard the words that spilled out of the short girl's mouth. "So kawaii!" Eliah would respond to everything that was just said, verbally tossing out of the ten story building and killing it. She'd try to bend down and wrap her arms around the girl's shoulders. In doing so, Shian's face would be crammed into the bosom of Shian. Eliah twisted and turned in glee holding the green-haired cupcake dropped off by Ares himself. "The cutest warrior in the land!" She'd shout as she'd toss the girl into the air before returning her face back to being unimpressed with Noah. As of right now Shian was most definitely the strongest out of the two, her defences were through the roof as there was no way that anything would attack something so cute. Things couldn't have been going so smooth like this, something had to toss it up. "Alright, alright. Look here." Eliah brought up her index finger as she attempted to explain, though the arrival of a familiar voice would approach her rear. Her eyes rolled into the back her head as she immediately knew who the voice belonged to: Naburo. "Oi! I was talking to my party! If you wanna be a party of my party then shut yer trap!" She waved her fist as her head grew large, scolding her Familia brother in a high volume tone of aggravation. Her body towering over his as though she were some sort of expandable tower. She'd cool off with a soft sigh, she'd compose herself once more re-obtaining the composure she once held. She cleared her throat bringing her curled fist to her mouth. "Hmhm." Her eyes drew feint as she peeked out her left eye to look at Naburo, ensuring he wasn't going to butt in once more before carrying on. "Anyway, that is Naburo. I am Eliah, call me Eliah. Not Eli. Anyway, I plan on going down to the fourth floor and clearing everything in sight. If possible, I'd like to stay there all day. So if you're up for the task, then I would gladly take all of you with me. I don't care for the loot, I just wish to test my skill. My loot can be split among the three of you for all I care. Or..." Her eyes sparkled at Shian who had assuredly landed and came back to the group already, hopefully, "I can repay you for all that you've done for me so far! I'm so glad you're here!" Her lips would stretch upward, causing her eyes to come to a shut, as she reached in to pinch the girl's cheek and wiggle it for a short second. She'd let out a small giggle and whip back up to an erect position. Shifting her eyes between the three she'd put her hand out, initiating a hand-stack of her team. "Well, if you guys think you're strong enough to last all day, bring it in." ♚ BERA ♚ == @Noah Gensch == == @Shian Amai == == @Naburo Keilz == == 780 ==
NOAH If nothing else could be said about the comparisons between the girl's two scenes that had just played out it was like that the fur-ball had just seemingly switched into a entirely separate gear up hearing his words from one of depressed pouting to something that Noah's mind could only interpret as more... hostile. Even without any sort of mental command or conscious though to do as such the aura and expression that Noah gave off would respond in kind to the fur-ball's as if calling her out on her non-spoken words to something more aggressive himself. His own face growing a slight smile at the edge of his mouth and a air as though he were already in the midst of some sort of mental battle between himself and the fur-ball. All of which would showcase the solitary thought that was roaming through Noah's mind; You think that you are actually something? "So kawaii!" "Huh?..." The girl's switching of mental gears was almost too fast to be considered normal with the switch being just as quick and apparent as the first shift between when Noah had initially seen her and after his own spoken words. Noah's gaze turned over towards the root cause of the Fur-Ball's mental change too only see some short, strangely hair colored girl who had a rather... well unimposing physical figure. People such as that made him question as to the types of people that could actually survive the the dungeon below for if someone like her could survive then all that could be said that at least on appearances alone the bar was rather low. The Fur-Ball's physical reaction to the short one while some other people mid of considered such a physical showcasing of emotion and affection to be cute or even endearing Noah himself was actually just kinda weirded out by it as no matter how much he saw the short-girl he felt nothing that could be even considered similar to what the Fur-Ball was experiencing. In all honesty the only feeling that was going though Noah's mind at the moment after experiencing such as sight was that he should probably slip away now while he had the chance lest be forced to subjugated to more of these sights. Though before he could actually act upon these thoughts another new face joined the fold. "Alright, alright. Look here... of my party then shut yer trap!" There it was again, that near instantaneous gear shift too a new number being added to the equation though unlike the former rather strange one this one on there hand well even Noah would have to say that it was quite a humerus sight to behold and hey if anything the fur-ball scored more than a few points in his book just from that reaction alone. Noah's could only let out a slightly audible chuckle under his breath to the sight that was playing out before him. "Zeus Familia...yea that would just about explain it." While he had little actual experience with those of that Familia himself the stories and rumor's alone showcased a image that the weird ones tended to flock towards the drunken God, then again the sources of these words may off held a slight bias towards them as they tended to come from those from other less-popular Familia's. "Anyway, that is Naburo. I am Eliah, call me Eliah. Not Eli.... ... done for me so far! I'm so glad you're here!" As the fur-ball's thoughts rang though his head Noah could only let out a slight sigh of relief at it for at least there was some actual point to all of this and the girl was not just being weird before for no reason. Though most of all the few words that Noah's mind latched onto was that she stated that she did not even care about the loot from the dungeon run and well he would by lying of the idea of pure commercial gain was of no interest to him. The relief also stemmed from his rather short run earlier today that was cut incredibly short, literally at the the start, from the broken legged fool laying on the ground next to him. He had planned on going at least down to the third floor today but throwing on one more level to the pot was just as manageable especially of the group was more than a messily two. "Well at lest there was a point to your pouting earlier... Yea why not, count me in. Would be nice to actually accomplish something today with someone that actually knows how to use their legs." as Noah spoke the now near unconscious broken legged man began to speak someone barley audible, most likely a slightly delirious apology once again towards Noah, though before more than a few words could be mumbled Noah tapped the man's head with the heel of his foot basically telling him to both shut it and he was not apart of this. Noah's gaze turned once again towards his well now companions and while it seemed normal enough he was actually getting a read on their abilities thanks to his skill as his eyes switched from one of the figures to another. 'Magic user... hmm dex guy, no magic and... huh high strength for a short one'. The read was never anywhere near perfect but it let him get some idea of what they could do from though in terms of reading their experience he had to rely on himself for that "You can call me Noah, Hephaestus Familia." as he finished speaking and his mental read of the group Noah's head turned towards the one called Nabu "Well you at least know like you know what you are doing... unlike some people" his finial words seemed to be flowing towards the fur-ball called Eliah even if they did not hold any sort of truth in them it was not like him to back down from the mental challenge she had issued earlier. 1006 @Eliah Tsundora @Shian Amai @Naburo Keilz
