Ẓazue ▼olkner He stood in the town square all day, well not really standing but more walking around admiring the town for what it was. More importantly while his brother was away he'd figure he would at least try and earn a living somehow. Which is why when he saw Fynion Lankas pleading for someone to escort him to the second floor he couldn't turn away. So waiting appropriately by the entrance of the dungeon he saw Fynion approaching but with another peculiar soul. This both eased Zazue's mind and made his heart race. He would have to talk to more than one person on this tedious journey! Epppp! He looked towards Fynion who he already had trouble talking to putting out a hand and shaking with his slightly fake smile full of nerve. "H...hello!" H He said to the both of them.Trying to put as much enthusiasm behind his words as possible as they made their way into the dungeon. Making their way into the dungeon was surely one of the easy parts if not the easiest. Traveling all through the dungeon and up to the second floor was surely one of the more arduous processes. A few beast chose to show themselves mostly just kobolds who had wondered away from their packs. That was fine with Eliah there Zazue had a lot more reassurance top help destroy the beast. Finally making it to the second floor Fynion helped navigate them to the peculiar corners where the mushroom grew in abundance as he began his work. "Okay this might take a while but all you shall have to do is watch over me. Im counting on you two!" He said looking towards Eliah and Zazue. "Ha ha yeah sure! No problem." Putting on more fake smiles Zazue scratched the back of his head staring at the surrounding dungeon. OOC @Eliah Tsundora Lets protect him with all our might, hope you like my post!!
Tighten up, boy. Things began to smooth out for Eliah, her adventuring down into the dungeon was growing to be quite a success as she could feel herself getting stronger with each given day. The sun vibrantly bellowed down onto the back of the vixen, it's radiant rays gave her a sense of vigor, she wished to do something different with this day. Going down into the dungeon by her lonesome seemed to be rather dull at the moment. Without the help of her gracious friends on this day she didn't want to over do it and mind-down deep in the depths of the dungeon. Who knew who would take advantage of her in such a situation. "Hello, adventurer! I do wish for your assistance if you so wish be of assistance to me!" Eliah flinched, being caught off guard in her basking of the sun. She'd bring her guard down and agree to hear the elf out after she committed her usual scolding upon those that scared her. He wished for her and another adventurer to travel down to the second floor and aide him in retrieving information on a certain mushroom that uprooted within. Eliah saw little point in it, but he was willing to pay, so she was willing to stay. She'd bring herself to sit next to the elf as he called out of another, who wouldn't take much longer than she thought to get there. The two would be greeted by the hesitant voice, which would result in Eliah's optical orbs to flutter about in disappointment. It was cute, she supposed, just not her style. They traveled down to the second floor finding skirmishes here and there, claiming victory with a sense of ease. It wouldn't take much time for the duo to escort the elf to his destination and when they did he'd announce, "Okay, this might take a while but all you shall have to do is watch over me. I'm counting on you two!" Before he began his work. Zazue would respond with a chipper response. "Got it." Eliah's response would hold to be a bit more firm, as she knew that things were far too easy right now. Surely tampering with the food of the creatures within the dungeon would result in some sort of grim disorder to their ecosystem resulting in a retaliation. She'd have to remain alert. She'd find her gaze to meet the body of the brown boy, "Don't falter, he's not the only one counting on you. This can't be as easy as it seems." She warned him, hinting that he needed to tighten up a bit. Ẓazue [SIZE=5]▼[/SIZE]olkner Zazue nodded placing a hand on the sheathed sword as he walked a perimeter in boredom. Soon over an hour had past and nothing had happen. No beast no kobolds. . . nothing. Which left Zazue bored and relived, yeah it was rather uneventful. It was okay though the less trouble the easier the money. His worries were short lived though as rounding the corner a Kobold sprung out wandering away from its pack/tribe. Being the closes due to his distance away from the group he drew his sword easily slicing the singly beast down. As it drew its last breath a blood curling scream relinquished from his throat. Zazue's eyes widen as his his head peeked around the corner. A rather large group of Kobold's heads turned as they came marching towards their brethren's scream. He ran back towards the others with wide eyes. Zazue's mind flooded with questions and no answers. Why had they shown up they only had few more minutes to go. His heart raced as he hoped he wouldn't but first he had to alert the others. "Guys. . . guys" he yelled panting heavily running towards Eliah as he drew his sword. "Trouble!! Kobalds, a lot of them!" He said as the over sized pack of kobolds varying in sizes ran after him. Their maws snarled up in anger as he had slain their brethren in cold blood, they would not have this. They wanted him dead! Fynion spoke up as his eyes widen. Tighten up, boy. Eliah stood at guard, her staff stood within her left hand as she checked the immediate surroundings for a numerous amount of time. Though, nothing would come and soon enough her partner would wander off to go look around. "H-hey, don't go attra--" She'd try to warn the kid, but before she knew it he was already to far and she didn't wish to speak up and attract any unwanted guests. She'd clinch her fist in frustration with the kid. Things were going smoothly so far, and that was how she liked it. "Tsk, whatever... do what you want..." She muttered to herself, though she knew good and well that it was best to just stay in the one spot rather than looking for trouble. Low and behold she'd be right, just as she slightly dropped her guard to let out a bellowing yawn she'd be snapped back into her action stance. Her tail wagged behind her being as her ear's perked up, hearing the cries of an all familiar beast. "Kobald." Before she could even see her partner she knew that she would have to divert them in some way shape or form. Throwing her staff before her, clinching the mid section tightly her clothing began to drift with the essence of her power as her hair followed suit. "Rumble, tumble, shift and crumble. Seek retribution for those that have soiled your soil..." As she did such the boy would come out in flurry and just as he passed the the exit of the tunnel he resided in the ground would begin to shift and rumble as she continued the incantation ignoring what was being said by the other two. She had to remain focused and carry on with the chant in perfect execution if she wished to be of any assistance, otherwise her spell would be futile and would only be detrimental to the protection of Fynion. "... cast the heavy burdens of man's creation and reach from the depths to achieve your new salvation." The chant would continue on as the boy joined her and the mushroom guy, he drew his sword to which she was glad about as it was going to take her just a bit more time to finish. The sound of the stampeding monsters added to the trembling dungeon floor. This slightly broke her concentration as her eyes grew wide, though she'd draw back to a concentrated state quickly as she continued the chant. "Rigid edge's return blood for your soil, and make them pay or so make living something of toil!" The words would have no pause between each other during the entire chant as everything seemed to be happening. Her plan was to slow their reign over the area and possibly damage a few. Though, by the sound of it there were many. The crisp ending of her chant resounded in a shout as it bounced throughout the dungeon's entirety. Her garb, hair, ears, and tail were thrown back with the essence of her power as stalagmites bolted up from the ground near the entrance. The attack would meet the front running, eliminating four of them as two others were knocked back to their rears. Though they'd collect themselves quickly as they continued to pour into the room. She had accomplished what she wished to do, and it resulted in a heavy breathing her body bouncing with her respiratory system. They'd have to climb through the stalagmites in order to get to them and with the height of the stalagmites it would be a task for the Kabold. Though they'd come in by groups of two and three. She's shift her gaze to Zazue, "Go!" She'd shout, pointing in the direction of the kabolds. "Keep them at bay and let them push you to here! I'll stay by the client and attack from afar. That is all a mage can provide! You must be our shield!" She commanded with excitement, her body moved with her words. As it her demands drew to an end she would return to her heavy breathing, worn from the long-chant ability. "Tsk... hopefully I don't mind-down." She muttered to herself. She knew the boy was just a sword, but she had to rely on his ability to fend them off for as long as he could. She'd have to support him from afar and catch them by surprise. Ẓazue ▼olkner He turned as she began to chant holding his sword in front of him a bit shakily. Zazue a bit shaken up remained steady as he inched forward. Still nervous and a bit scared for his life the ground rose in stalagmite slowing the kobolds and offing 4 of them. Bringing more vitality to Zazue's spirit her words only helped to bring the warrior out of him. Charging forward Zazue plunged his sword deep into the chest of a Kobold pushing it forward as it fell with a blood curling scream. His heart raced as he stared at the other Kobolds coming forward. Something washed over him as he stared them down his eyes full of fighting spirit and malice towards the beast. His throat bellow sending forth a fear wretching scream towards the oncoming Kobolds as some of them stopped in their tracks. Was this the same shy and nervous boy that had been timid from the start. Was this Zazue's true nature? OOC @Eliah Tsundora Zazue you okay?
Tighten up, boy. While the kid seemed to tremble she could tell that her words had set some sort of vigor into the lad. With these new found sense of courage he charged into battle as a seemingly new person as a whole, his resolve seemed to shine through his trembling movements. These movements soon shifted from a tremble to a state of solidity as he made each effort to cut into the Kobolds. His vigor seemed to embellish the true warrior that dwell'd inside as each blow turned the monsters into a dark matter leaving behind a small crystal as reward to his efforts. The seemingly shy boy had seemed to blossom into a man before her eyes, and it was all due to her commands. She was rather flattered by it. In response to it all Eliah would feel an ease of mind that the kid could fight, and he could fend off the Kobolds. Though an unsettling series thuds would resonate from within the tunnel they all poured from, trembling the terrain of the dungeon. Eliah's eyes grew large a gulp following as she could only imagine the beast that was soon to come, "Eici Terra!" she'd shout, summoning a large rock from the ground, thrusting her body into to her staff to give it the momentum necessary to eliminate a target that wished to strike Zazue from behind. Her breathing would start to gain in weight as she could feel the mind being drawn from her body. She wasn't anywhere near her limit, but she could sense that she would have to push herself to fight on. "Eici Terra!" She'd chant once more her essence of power sending her garb and hair in a flurry as she repeated the same bodily movement to give it the push required to cast the rock at another Kobold that was attempting to climb over the stalagmites. The rumbles persisted, she was sure that if the boy had come to see the beast he'd likely be in awe of the size of the monster. As things were right now, he seemed to be fine. Her ears were able to read and measure the pace that the behemoth had in its travel. The time between the footsteps and the depth that muffled the sound a bit was a good indicator it was a good ways away from the two and they would have some time to finish off the Kobolds in front of them. She'd continue to cast the rocks at the Kobolds, fighting them off of the stalagmites. She'd turn her head catching a glimpse of the studying elf behind her that seemed to be rather carefree about the whole situation taking place. Ẓazue ▼olkner He continued cutting as bit by bit the kobolds fell leaving behind the coveted gems. But he didn't care with his mind on battle he contiued to hack and slash away at the beast before him. His sword came down as many of the Kobolds numbers dwindled and his ears perked to the sounds of thumps and thuds. Finishing off the last of the beast proved to effort with Eliah's help as many of the obscured ones attempted to run. Zazue lets them go as he exhaled his body becoming heavy and his mind clutter. Leaning back on a stalagmite his guard was dropped shortly as the monster came rounding the corner. Looking back to the man studying the mushroom he sighed heavily. He just wanted to leave but I guess it wouldn't be that easy. "Just a few more minutes please!" Fynion retorted almost perfectly to Zazue's heavy sighing. Stepping back through the stalagmite he readied his sword again looking at Eliah. "I guess we have to fight this thing huh." He stood their waiting for its approach his sword ready his eyes glued to the beast. OOC @Eliah Tsundora I thought it was over!!
King Kobold "Eici Terra!" The vixen shouted as another rock was flung at the kobold turning it to a dark matter substance. The ground seemed to be rather covered in the small crystals that the two would later turn in for gold. She was rather pleased by the sight of it, though she wouldn't try to let it distract her from the task at hand. She could feel her body starting to grow tired, she'd likely have to resort to her agility and strength in order to continue fighting. Which would likely detriment the party in return. While the elf shouted that he only required a bit more time, she could only see that to be a bit of a exaggeration. Not to mention, more trouble was coming. Though, the kobold began to run low in numbers. As only six looked to remain, though as the loud steps began to draw closer and closer the Kobold would turn and flee back into the tunnel in retreat. That could only leave Eliah to sigh softly in relief, though she knew that the upcoming threat would be a much harder fight than the one they had just been in. Glancing back at the client she'd see that his attention had also drawn to the steps that resonated from the tunnel. "K-k-king Kobold!" He'd shout in panic before he'd attempt to scurry away from the mushrooms. Extending her staff out to her side she'd close line the elf and send him to his rear, "No you don't, we'll take care of this thing and you'll continue your research and pay us when you're finished. We're not going anywhere. Don't be a wimp." Eliah hissed and commanded before looking back ahead. Zazue and Eliah would meet eyes, Eliah giving him a reassuring nod as the large horned kobold entered the area. "Zazue, fall back!" She'd shout as the large creature began to charge toward Zazue, it would drag it's large talons into the ground ripping the stalagmite from the surface launching the pointed rocks everywhere. As it finished tearing through the barricade it would continue at Zazue, Eliah's face grew a grim expression as she watched her trap to detour get turned into nothing. The trajectory of the flying rocks would be at random, though the large amount of the minerals would call for nimble movement as they fell at different rates of speed due to their varying sizes. Looking up she'd see that there were several headed in the direction of the group. She had to make a decision to either body block them or grab the elf and move. She was rather conflicted as if she were to move and take the elf with her the mushrooms would be impaled, though if she didn't do that the elf was likely to get hit by one of the three. Thus, she reached out curling her fist into the collar of the elf as she planted her left hand onto the ground running with 3 legs. She was most agile like this as running on her hind legs decreased her ability to push off the land accelerating her movement speed. Zigging and zagging she'd dodge the incoming stalagmite making a jagged semi-circle out of her movements before throwing the elf back to the mushrooms and joining along side Zazue. Ẓazue ▼olkner Zazue fell back as the rocks came down, having Eliah save the man was all Zazue needed to feel free to fight. As the monster came crashing in Zazue side stepped launching forward within the beast aim as it swiped at him. Ducking promptly Zazue came low up under the beast his sword came up in to its chest with a large slash and thud as he used his might to impale the beast right in the chest. Roaring loudly it lifted up, taking Zazue with it. His form was grabbed and launched past the others and into the tunnel. Flopping down he groan with a loud grunt as he looked up to the others. "Run, we'll circle. . . around." he said with grunts as he stood watching the mushroom hunter storm behind him. "To the right." Zazue ordered his eyes full of malice and determination as the beast came stalking forward. OOC @Eliah Tsundora Zazue you got fucked up!
King Kobold Eliah was rather astonished by the, once timid, acts of the boy. He seemed to be fleshing out into quite the warrior, however, as of right now he was trying to be a hero in a sense. There was no need for him to go in and attack the beast in such an unpractical sense, what he was doing was rather foolish, especially since there was two of them and they were able to work together in order to get some sort of plausible damage done on the beast. Though he was able to hit the beast, it resulted in a retaliation just as Eliah had predicted as she watched him get slung back into the tunnels. She'd have no time to react or call out to him in order to stop his valiant efforts in beating the large kobold in a one on one fight. She had come to realize that the boy was extremely inexperienced. She curled her fist and growled slightly at his futile efforts and their end result. She'd begin to pass the ground on all fours and come to his destination leaving the slow kobold behind. Her speed was unmatched in comparison to its gargantuan maneuvers. She'd come to a sliding halt beside the boy and stand up, towering over the collapsed figure on the ground that wished to flee. She'd try to dig her fist and grasp the clothing at his neckline before bringing the limp body up to her face. "Your foolish acts will get all three of us killed." She growled, releasing her death grip on his garb and pushing him back to the ground. "Get up. We aren't going anywhere, not yet. You wish to be a hero, when what we need to be are warriors. We need not flee and have this beast catch any other adventurer that travels this dungeon level." She turned to look back at the kobold snarling and ripping its head in anger as it slowly approached the two. "We can beat this if we use strategy to defeat it. Running will do nothing but harm those that are weak in these dungeons. I'm sure your deity would be unpleased with your lack of strength and courage." She'd look to the elf, Fynion. "You." She'd point at the researcher. "Now that your job is done, we will ask for your assistance in taking down this behemoth and bringing peace to this floor." Ẓazue ▼olkner A warm sensation crawled upon Zazue's skin as he stood staring at Eliah. His mind racing as she scolded him for attempting to be a hero. He knew he wasn't all that experienced but to him his actions didn't speak hero. He wasn't try to save anyone or consciously at least, he just really wanted to hurt the thing. Being tired of fighting Kobolds had worn his body down and after that last shot we was wearing thin and quick. Looking towards the girl while holding his sighed hunched over as he pressed against a wall he wheezed waving his hands in a yes signaling motion. "Yeah sure, whatever works as long as we don't die. I only have on objection though." He said as he caught his breath and looked toward the mushroom man now finished with his work. "You're our decoy." He retorted as the Fynion's eyes widened in shock, gulping he nodded attempting to catch his bearings as he stood. Standing up straight Zazue gripped his sword in both hands as he composed himself once more. His voice was louder yet still soft, overbearing deeper tones mixing in as his battle brain was activated. The Nimble Mage "Very well." Eliah nodded before Zazue blurted out that the researcher should be our distraction. Her head fell into hand her elbow being propped by her other hand. She shook her head bringing the hand along with it as she did so. A small chuckle left her mouth, there was no time to set up a decoy and hardly enough time for her to react in such a manner that she did. "Forget it, I'll be the decoy. It won't catch me." She stated as she pounced off toward the creature. "Attack when its back is turned, don't hold back!" She'd shout, her voice fading as the distance between the two increased. What she was doing was more of an instinct thing pushed upon them by time as the monster closed in on them. It would be at the neck of the tunnel as Eliah would round up on it zigging and zagging to confuse the beast's approach to its next attack. Shifting from left to right the monster's body would turn as she moved to each side of the tunnel resulting in him stopping in its tracks. Here goes nothing. She'd tell herself as she got into striking range of the monster. He'd slash diagonally in her direction though just as he did so she'd pounce striving to the other side of the tunnel before exiting. A small sigh of relief left her as she continued away from it, before turning and coming to a sliding halt. The monster would roar in fury as it began to charge toward her direction. "Now's your chance!" She shouted beckoning Zazue to make a strike. With the back of the beast exposed and its focus Eliah it would be easy for Zazue to deal a considerable amount of damage to the beast. Though she could only hope that he would come in enough time as the distance between the beast and Eliah was slowly closing in. If Zazue were to get there in enough time and catch the attention of the beast Eliah would launch an Eici Terra attack at its head to call the attention back on her. She was playing the role of the tank at this time, though she was nimble enough to make the necessary moves to evade its attacks on her. Ẓazue ▼olkner Eliah's orders rang through Zazue's head as he grabbed his sword readying himself watching Eli ah take the reigns. Distracting the beast his eyes darted around it looking for a proper spot and as she screeched for his chance he sprung into action as his form was engulfed in determination. Pushing off the ground he launched towards the small of the beast back plunging his sword deep into its back with a small thud as he hit bone rather obviously. Distraught the beast unleash a serious of wailing and fidgeting wildly knocking the Eici Terra from the air and shattering it into small rock shrapnels back at Eliah. As the beast shook it smashed its back against the w all causing for Zazue to gasp as him and his sword was relinquished from it beast. Zazue stood bending his back as an audible crack was heard in relief as the monster screamed at him. Having the stiffening pain their was one thing but what came next could only be called rage as the beast curled its fist smashing its harden paw into Zazue's face. Rocking back Zazue's eyes glazed over as his body wobbled back coming to a halt as another curled fist from the beast smashed into his head once more with a loud smack and thud. His eyes rolled back forward glaring at the beast as his stood erect once more his passive skill activating as the beast fist came down again with Zazue ducking under it. His sword came up into the beast chest. Slumping upon him in a clinch like hug the exhausted beast attempted a gnarled bite at Zazue nearly dodge. Angered, tired and annoyed his own bite came connecting with the majority of the beast face bitting down and pulling back skin and bits of muscle as the thing yelled aloud. Spitting its own flesh back into the things face he roared in a last fits of effort pushing the beast forward as they both fell in front of Eliah thrashing. "Kill it!" Zazue said pulling his sword out from the beast chest as he layed atop it relentlessly stabbing it blood dribbling from his face in more than one place and for more than one reason. The Nimble Mage Eliah flinched, shielding herself from the shrapnel that pelted and cut her skin, digging into her arms and even cutting into her face and ears. Her body became tattered and began to glaze with small drops of blood mixing in with the sweat that already made her damp. Her face would squish as she winced in pain, her breathing still growing in weight. Her attack had failed, but it would result in Zazue being able to get in some detrimental blows that were much needed for the two to defeat the beast. She'd have to make proper use of the opportunity. She shifted her body around, looking for an answer to her problems. She'd see the stalagmites that were thrown everywhere. They impaled the ground here and there in random places. One of them being not too far from the two. She'd make haste with her actions, glancing over to see the kid brutally fight the beast, taking a chunk from it and spitting it back in a rather savage manner. She wasn't sure what the deal was with this kid, but he was surely doing something right. Though, it was clear he didn't have full control of his actions. "Eici Terra." She'd say in a calm tone, her breathing interrupting her words slightly. The stalagmite would dislodge from the ground as she pulled it over and slowly channeled it above the right shoulder of the beast. She'd motion her arms to rotate the spearhead, her actions being interrupted by the demand to kill the creature as he continued to viscously stab it. Closing her eyes and letting out a deep breath, she could finally declare this over with one final move. She'd thrust her arms to her left side as the large rock lodged itself into the beast. It vanished into dark matter, leaving Zazue nowhere to stand anymore. She'd stand erect, gazing over Zazue and the decently sized crystal before them. She'd walk over to him and offer him a hand, "You alright there, psycho?" She'd smile, exposing her teeth a bit. Looking up to see the researcher making his way to the too. A grin reached from ear to ear on the man, happy to see the two victorious. Eliah could only come to give a cold brutal stare.
