It was honest work unlike most of the people who had to steal and kill just to survive. It didn't pay much but it felt good to help feed the others in the slums with what little they had. Rawlin did what he could to make his family proud of him but one day some local bandits tried to rob his home. They almost suceeded and got the family heirloom but Rawlin used said heirloom against the bandits using the golden daggers they were after to severely hurt them. The bandits ran away but the day was not won, Rawlin's parents were killed in the aftermath and Rawlin no longer had anyone to support him. Rawlin kept the ruined house as his shelter to now work part time as the local chef in the slums. He would now head to the center of trade to not only offer his cooking services for money but also try his best to become an adventurer by starting out as a supporter. Rawlin held onto the daggers as it was the last thing he had of his family before they were killed.
