@Briareus Soren couldn't help but smile at the touching reunion. He assumed that the girl was this "Apple" the titan had kept talking about. So this is what a familia is like, he thought to himself, It's just like a family. I bet Father wouldn't mind me being a part of this familia. He would rest easy knowing that his son was in good hands. The boy had to raise an eyebrow as he was addressed. "...My name's not Sora," he said bluntly, it's Soren. Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you. Apple, I'm assuming?" He shifted the bags he was hold to get a better look at the redhead before him. "So...I'm planning on joining this familia, if that's alright with you," he said, flashing a smile at her.
A look of confusion was given as the titan had realized his mistake. “S-sorry--" Before he could finish his statement, the red headed youth had already cut him off. Her facing pouting slightly while mimicking a stern look, she’d reprimand the deity out in broad daylight. “Bri! You have to remember people’s names! They won’t like you otherwise! How would you feel if I called you Kottos?” The titan grew silent while receiving his scolding. It was an unusual sight to say the least. Shortly thereafter, the girl’s attention would divert to the dark elf. “Soren.” She’d articulate while shooting a look back at the titan who nodded sheepishly. “So Bri made a new friend, huh? Wonderful, wonderful! Please come in, come in! Everyone else is out currently, but I’m sure they’ll be glad to meet you.” A dainty hand extended towards each male as she motioned for them to enter the abode. From the looks of it, the familia home was a rather cozy looking tower with a well-kept garden at the front. Various exotic scents drifted in from the blooming flora and miscellaneous herbs present. Once inside, the best way to describe the place was an organized mess. Despite its compact size and multiple levels, it had a rather snug feeling to it, as if every item had its place. “You’ll need a falna, right? We can handle the paper work later. Let’s get you taken care of first. Bri!” She’d call out to the titan who stood with a daze at the entry way. Apparently his own abode still surprised him at times. “?” A questioning look was given upon hearing his name called. “Take Soren upstairs and get him settled in. Does he need a room too?”
@Briareus Soren blinked in surprise when Apple seemed to have taken charge. ...He wasn't kidding about her, he mentally groaned as he was ushered inside. The smell of herbs filled his nose, reminding him of playing in the grass and smelling the plants near the forest of his first home. It was a nice smell, to say the least. "There's paperwork about falna?" he asked as he looked over at Briareus with a bemused expression on his face. "Um, hang on, let me just put these on a table or something before I head upstairs," he said, going deeper into the apothecary. Seeing an empty table, he laid his groceries on it and hurried back to the titan. "Upstairs, right?" He began to head towards the nearest set of stairs and climbed up before Briareus could say much.
A confused look was given towards the dark elf upon hearing mention of paperwork. Perhaps the titan was just so out of touch with things that he too didn’t realize it existed. Confusion remained plastered over the deity’s face as he’d shrug once before nodding as an indication to ascend the stairs. Upon reaching the top of the tower, all that remained visible was a single room. A faded wooden sign with scratched lettering hung on the doorway. From the looks of it, this was Briareus’ space. Without offering many words, the titan stepped forward to open the door, revealing a relatively small room flooded with light drifting in from the large, paned, glass window. At first glance, it’d appear to uncannily resemble a prison cell. The conditions were much less… destitute however, given the design of the window, the decent furnishings and presence of personal belongings. Though small and rather cramped, the space was sufficient for housing a bed, a small reading stand as well as an adjacent chair. “Uhh… you can sit there.” He’d point slowly to the chair before taking a seat for himself atop the bed. “S-sorry… it’s a little cramped. Apple said I should use a real room instead of this closet… but it’s more comfortable.” An awkward silence ensued as the deity contemplated how to properly phrase his words. “Umm… could you take your shirt off, please?”
@Briareus Soren waited for Briareus at the top of the stairs, as he didn't know the layout of the house quite yet. Maybe I'll know the layout soon, if I can get my father to come and live here instead, he thought to himself. To the dark elf, he believed that people in a familia usually shared the same place. He wasn't sure if that was wrong or not, but it would probably be better than where they were now. The room they entered appeared to be tiny. He was sort of used to cramp spaces when on the run from those bounty hunters, but it didn't mean he was comfortable with it. "Huh, well to each their own," he said as he sat in the chair. Then he blinked at the titan's request. "...Sure?" He slowly took his shirt off, feeling highly embarrassed about the whole ordeal. His face was heated up as he dropped his shirt to the ground. "Er, why do I need my shirt off?"
Though unable to see the boy’s face due to his back being turned towards the god, Briareus felt a light prickling sensation of embarrassment jabbing at his mind. Now that he thought about it… the shirt technically didn’t have to come off. It only had to be raised slightly. Perhaps the titan hadn’t properly thought about his words before speaking. “Oh… you could’ve just lifted your shirt, I guess?...” An awkward pause followed as he let that reality sit in. A gentle wind whistled outside the window as it blew by, emphasizing the moment. “Korra does that too, I think… sorry…” Were the youth to turn around, he’d notice the silver haired titan hanging his head a bit while speaking. “B-but uhh… the falna goes on your back… so I needed to move the shirt?” His voice sounded a bit unsure, almost as if trying to remember the explanation that Apple had given to him previously for memorization. “It should feel really relaxing… at least that’s what the others said. Ready?...” Were the youth to consent, the hundred handed god would slowly begin the process, easing both Soren and himself into it.
@Briareus At the explanation of where the falna was going, Soren relaxed. He was still uncomfortable about the fact that he'd taken his shirt off, but he could see why it was necessary. "Yeah...I'm ready," he said, turning around so that his back was showing to the titan. He tried to find a comfortable position on the chair, but gave that up. "Is it alright if I sit on the bed?" he asked, "Being in the chair with my back turned is not a good idea." He laughed a little as he got up and made his way towards the bed, gingerly sitting on it. As the process was about to start, he thought of how his life would change from that point on. Well he would surely be stronger, for it was widely known that having the blessing of the gods, a falna, made one capable of handling monsters better than the average person. Maybe with this, he would be able to bring in more money to the household so the two of them wouldn't have to work so hard all the time. He closed his eyes and waited for the blessing to be given to him.
“Mnn.” The titan briefly assented to the dark elf relocating onto his bed. Shifting his own position atop it in order to face the youth’s back, he’d settle himself in a bit more comfortably before beginning. Though Soren wouldn’t be able to see it, the silver haired deity’s hand began to radiate a soft blue light as divine power channeled through to his fingertips. As far as the dark elf would be concerned, a strange yet oddly easing energy gently brushed against the surface of his skin as the hand began to move. As more time passed, his muscles would relax, growing less tense as the sensation would multiply. The energy would slowly morph, giving off the effect that a sea of hands was being applied in a methodical yet delicate fashion. The entire process would take roughly twenty minutes before the light gently subsided, causing Soren’s previously fading consciousness to return. His voice barely at an audible whisper, the titan leaned in curiously to see if the youth was still awake. “Well? How was it?...” Note: Yaaay! We did it!
@Briareus Soren waited for the god to start touching his back or something. Maybe trace out an outline that consisted of circles and words? He didn't know. The feeling he was feeling on his back was ethereal, as if a ghost was touching his skin. He shuddered at the thought, not wanting a ghost to be around. But still, the feeling was pleasant and he began to space out. He was brought back to reality once the ritual was done. He blinked a few times before rubbing his eyes. "That felt...nice," he admitted, "Made me feel a little sleepy too. Is that what usually happens after someone gets a falna, becoming sleepy?" He stretched and went to retrieve his shirt on the floor, quickly donning it.
“I don’t… know…” A lazy yawn was let out by the titan as he pushed through to finish his current line of thought. “But I always… get reaaaally sleeepy… afterwards.” The god’s eyes watered a bit as he struggled to maintain consciousness. His figure shuffled over, closer to the wall, as it moved to lie down atop the bed without being so rude as to displace Soren off of it. Though perhaps the god had some issues steeped in deeply anxiety, from the look of it, his face was currently swathed in a sense of peace and was at ease. It was a rare sight to behold. Was the dark elf to find himself at a loss, eventually a familiar red headed figure would tip toe up the stairs towards the pair. A dainty hand waved at the newcomer while the other pressed a finger against her plush lips in order to keep the youth hushed. Apparently this was within the realm of expectations. Note: Bri's gone for nappy time...
@Briareus Soren had watched the god shuffle over to the bed and promptly fall asleep. He couldn't help but smile softly at him. It had been a long day since they had gotten lost and both of them deserved a much needed break. He decided to stay sitting there for a few moments, watching the god sleep as he breathed in and out peacefully. When Apple came into the room, he looked over to her and nodded, getting up. He came closer to her as not to disturb the sleeping titan. "I'll be going now," he whispered, "My father must be worried about me. Tell Briareus I'll see him again sometime." He flashed her a smile. "I hope we can all get along when it's all said and done." He carefully made his way past her and down the stairs to grab the grocery bags. With that done, he went over to the door to open it. He gave one last look behind him before closing the door and heading off to get to his father.
