Positive: Empathetic, good listener, helpful Negative: Bottles up emotions, submissive to the gods, impatient Biography Soren was born without knowing what his mother was like, having died during childbirth. Instead, he was raised by his father, who seemed to be haunted by something. He didn’t really pay attention to that fact, nor did his father talk about whatever was haunting him. All in all, it was a pretty average childhood, being raised by his kind father. There was nothing of note. He had friends, his father, enough to eat and a roof over his head, what more could he possibly want? One day, when he was around eight years old, strange women came asking where his father was. “He’s out working now,” he said. Then he found himself with a knife against his throat and a gag over his mouth. They waited until dusk, when his father came home. The dark elf had paled when he saw the women with his son as their captive. Apparently he was an escaped slave from Telskyura and the women were slave catchers, employed by a woman named Indila Roshan. They were sent to take him back to her. Normally the man would’ve given himself up as long as they let his son go, but that was not the case. He flew into a rage when the women suggested they take the boy too as a bonus. They were caught off guard and he immediately grabbed his son and ran into the woods. He knew now that their home was no longer safe for them. So they began to travel, with nothing but the clothes on their backs. During their travels, they came into the company of a cranky old man who lived alone in the forest. He gave them refuge, as long as they were willing to help him hunt. Since then, Soren was trained how to hunt with a bow and arrow. He also discovered that he had magic within him during that time and the old man taught him how to harness its power for his benefit. Sadly, the old man died after living with him for some time, and although it was safer being out in the middle of nowhere, his father knew his son needed companionship. So he headed to one city where he thought his son could have the best interaction due to its size, Orario City. The two of them took jobs as waiters in a tavern, feeling that dungeon delving was too dangerous for the both of them. Still, the boy was curious about what lay within the Dungeon and he heard many stories from the people he served. It sparked his curiosity, and eventually he came to his father saying he wanted to go into the Dungeon so they wouldn’t have to be struggling. His father was crushed by the thought of him going through such a dangerous place, but they were struggling as it was so he grudgingly let him go. But he wasn’t going to be in the front lines, his father absolutely forbade it. So instead, he became a supporter to eke out a living.
