Testing Limts Sitting there within his father's shop the young male would simply polish away at his sword as his father finished hammering out the imperfections of the armor he'd boughten. It had been nearly a week and the old man was finally putting those final touches on it. The duo had worked tirelessly at getting the metal and customizing it some; making sure it was as sturdy and strong as it needed to be. Although he was not happy with his son's choice to become an adventurer, he supported it none the less. He was his seed after all and he'd be damned if he was to let him die. His mother, on the other hand, seemed to be in tears as she sobbed all the way to work; knowing today was not the same as any other day, nope it marked a special occasion for him. He was going off to the dungeon like any other day, but not to support another. Nope, he was going on his own accord by himself. As such he'd finish up polishing the freshly sharpened blade as he continued to rub the blade, stroking it before pulling it up in the light to watch it gleam as it did before him. A faint smile passed as he placed it back down only now hearing his father call him over. Once more placing the blade upon the counter he'd join him in the back and appear before him. His father preparing to help him get into the armor and get him fully equipped; it took a bit of time as it was his first time and even more so he'd prepare to walk about in it. It was far more constricting than clothes but at the same time although there was a lack of mobility; the amount of added defense that came from it made him that much more content. "Thanks again, pops. I really do appreciate all the help you give me. Not to mention, the stylish upgrade you gave his armor. The trim looks fantastic and the way this armor feels, so light but solid. You've really outdone yourself. Not to mention our family crest plastered on the chest piece. I suppose even the monster have something to fear when I'm down there. The great and Mighty DeAndre, huh pops. Alright joking aside remind me to put some coin aside to move some of your extra and old equipment to the eighth floor. I know I need to start preparing t move over that way and set up my shop there. I plan on having our brand well known among adventurers. I promised you that I'd never give up on my dream and if I did one day, I'd take up the honor of carrying on the business. Well, I figured, I'd do just that. I have no problem with taking on both. I feel that I owe you that much for raising me how you have and making sure I came out alright. So starting tomorrow I'll be starting up my lessons with you once more. I figured if you got it covered up here might as well take the torch own there. Safer for you and mom anyways. Besides if I'm honest there aren't many options down there with this much at leas I can be of use to those traveling down there and maybe even expand into a room and board. I'm sure buying pieces down there a bit cheaper for convenience then shipping them up with my fellow supporters and maybe a waggon we could turn even more of a profit, if I split that with you and reinvest it into the shop we'll both be living pretty with so much coin we could hire help and still live comfy in our old age...erm well you older but ya know what I mean old man." He'd laugh some before hugging his father and heading out back. Taking a few practice swings with his blade at some dummies. He'd felt comfortable after a bit more time. Yet shifting his gaze he'd look over towards the sun, now rising as the day was to begin. If he wanted to get this done properly he needed to get a move on and head over towards the dungeon before it got too late in the day; he didn't want to get caught down in the dungeon to late; the last time he did with a group it was hell as the monsters for some reason were far more active. Having decided today would be the day to test his own skill, no longer just a simple bottom feeder or some silly supporter. No, today he'd test his luck, taking him as deep within the depth of the Dungeon as he could get. At least before it became obviously clear he could go no further. Prepared however he'd stand before the dungeon in his new armor, sporting his trusted two handed blade; the one he dubbed demon slayer. Fully geared from head to toe like the adventurer he was at heart. He was now ready to take on the dungeon; his back was upon him. Any coin he made today of stones 100% his, no splitting it; no rush and no problem. A faint twisting of his stomach left him a bit anxious. Was this how most adventurers felt, the idea they might come out a millionaire if they landed a big fine. The inner greed soon set in. He'd grown so accustomed to taking a small portion of what he carried or getting screwed over with a good drop. No, no more of that, no being some bitch or second fiddle to some asshole. None the less none of that mattered; a grin of pure ecstasy taking over as he clenched his fist and took a deep breath; today would be the day he claimed this dungeon and made it his bitch. He was not just Damion DeAndre anymore. No, he was Damion DeAndre, adventurer. Soon to be champion of the god or goddess so and so. The first mortal to take the steps off and into the realm of godhood. The legend in the making, the king of kings a god in his own right. Exhaling he'd stalled enough lost in his thoughts as he proceeded forth to make his way into the dungeon. Floor One Now arriving inside the dungeon he'd appear to be within first floor. Eyes scanning the area; it was well known for the silly goblins who thought they owned the place. Yet none of that mattered so long as he could cleave them in two. Yet unlike normal, his strength was far more limited; but he didn't know this. The normal drive and power behind his strength came from that of which most men desire. Their companions. However, unlike most men, this was not a specified gender for him. No, so long as a single person of interest in his party or someone he cared about was in danger he'd gain some immense strength while tanking and unleash his wrath on the enemy. This in turn, was his Achille's heel. As such he'd need to subconsciously find a way around this once realized. But for now, this was just what it was, an unknown reason for his lack of sudden strength down in the dungeon. So as he walked further in he'd take note of a few eyes watching him. Instead of heading further in he'd taunt them and wait for them to appear. His hand slapping at his chest as he laughed aloud seemed to do just the trick as a few goblins came running out at the male frantically. He'd grin wide as he drew his blade, swinging it first downward as to strike through them, then swiftly right as to catch them both in the side knocking them off and into the wall he'd grin. His stance changing to take a defensive posture. The blade now resting along the side of his hip as if too quick draw it. Yet his actions surprisingly seemed to call forth the goblins to split and then more to arrive. A faint smirk passed, this was only the first level there was simply no way in hell he was going to give up so easily. No, not without a fight, as such he'd slowly shift his gaze as if to watch the small bastards surround him A faint yet soft sigh passed as he inhaled deeply exhaling as the first of the goblins appeared to have charge in would get a blade across the head, lopping it clean off before he swung the blade in an arc like swirl cutting most back and knocking them back before the blade embedded itself into the limp body of the now headless goblin. His grin growing wider beneath his helmet as he began to chuckle, the laughter low and ominous as the sound echoed not only in his helm but in the cave. A few goblins simply fell back as he charged in and sliced at them. Ripping and tearing them to shreds blood splattering everywhere. Raining down upon his being like a storm of hell. His rage and bloodlust filling his being as the goblins fought back tirelessly only to fail. His blade charging down deep into where one's lung could be before twisting and causing it to erupt into nothing leaving the simple crystal left. Looking to the gruesome room behind him he'd start collecting all the stones and chuckling to himself. He'd gone a bit overboard, but it was a nice warm up for his blade; the armor took barely even a scratch, despite it being covered in blood. He'd slowly bring a cloth to his blade to clean it of the blood then wipe down his armor. Eyes shifting about he'd continue slaying goblins and such making his way towards the target intended. Having finally made it to the floors final room before the door which led lower he'd plant his sword into the ground and rub under his nose cockily some. He managed to power his way through the first floor so far solo. Although most wouldn't consider that such an accomplishment, for someone trying for the first time he'd grin, he was on his way to the next floor, as soon as he cleared this room. Raising the blade once more he'd make his way into the center. Slashing and bashing the various goblins with his body using his height and weight to his advantage as he laughed some. The thrill of the kill to much, the greed for the money even more, coupled with his desire to feel pain and all of his needs being met all at once, the euphoric and self-fulfilling lust to indulge in such a manner he'd groan some as he slammed the blade into a goblin spearing through him like a spit roast; as he pulled back the stone dropping only to yank back and stab into the gut region behind him another body collapsing as he laughed more almost like a maniac having not noticed a few other adventueres arriving. A young lady and her brother. Watching in horror as he slayed the room alone and in such pleasure, he'd pause now only to remove his helm and look down upon them walking over as he paused before them. "Can I help you two? I was kind of in the middle of things, if yo wana pass go ahead, I'll deal with the goblin, but I want to run solo today." He'd say some as he eyes the sister, a bit young for his taste but then again he felt his body in a lust filled state as he smiled. "But if your sister is willing to humor me later on a date I might be inclined to carry her fine ass and yours down a few floors, just pick up what drops behind me and we can proceed." Placing his helm back on he'd swing the blade back beheading another goblin before rushing off once more to fight the small horde wave after wave before he'd managed to clear the room Cleaning his armor once more and his blade he'd look to the two and watched the two of them gather the crystals a faint smile passing as he felt generous. "Every other crystal is yours I know the labors of being a supporter. Before I could afford this armor and put n the work I was just like you, bottom feeding. My advice pick a god and get your shit together. Get some armor, a new shiny weapon and take shit from no one. There is no guide to life here and no sympathy to the weak, I've granted some mercy sure but that's because your sister looks rather pleasing and you seem to be a good kid. None the less let's not make any mistakes. My goal is to get out to the eighth floor by myself. Your free to cash in on this matter and your free to attack anything I don't just don not try to save me from a hit nor steal my kill. Cross me and your looks won't save you; this is not about you today. This day is mine, I need to prove my worth as a mortal before I can become a god, no one will stand in my way. Be it monster or you." He'd say before making his way down to the next floor; already starting his campaign on the second floor in just an hours time. Floor Two As he made his way down the staircase and once more he set his eye up on the path towards the third floor the male would pause at the bottom only to look back at the sister and her brother the two making sure they split their crystals evenly to make the most out of him as possible. A faint smile he'd share as he shook his head. No matter how they divided the stacks they would always end up with half of the goods and he'd hope they soon realized this. Although the sister was quite appealing it was clear she wasn't the brightest or most experienced as she asked about the second floor. "Seriously have you two not been dungeon delving before, what are you a couple of green thumbs. Jesus, alright I'll spend a few moments breaking it down for you two. The first floor you saw was mainly goblins, this floor has a fair share of goblins as well as kobolds. the next floor has more kobolds than goblins but you run into the lizards. Well honestly you might find a few here but it's rare, more so on the third and almost a guarantee on the fourth floor. If we are lucky at the pace you move and such we'll make it to the fourth floor or maybe deeper depending on your ass and how much quicker you can walk. Honestly, I might just ask you two to walk ahead and be bait." he'd say hearing a bit of resistance but shrugging truth be told he just wanted to stare at the sister nice assets but this fact aside they'd do as he asked and take the lead. The Kobolds popping up seemed to trigger the male more. His body acting on it's own accord almost as if playing hero was in his blood his blade sliding up to cleave the incoming kobold in two as he watched blood spew all over; screams of fear in disgust passing as the male licked hi lips from beneath the helm and bolted forth to his left to slice two more aiming at her brother. Brief but fast bolts of magic shot off from him at them before they were slammed into the wall cut in half. It would carry on as such for several minutes as bodies flung and danced about; this newfound strength more scary than before yet far more exhilarating for him as he chuckled some and teased some, taunting the beast, his armor only now showing minor signs of scratching and dents;nothing his father couldn't repair if need be. Hell he might even be able to ding a few out with a simple rock and such since they were in easy locations and rather simple fixes; nothing requiring immediate replacement or fixing. Yet as the battle waged on the male would slam a kobold against the wall with his arm and pin it there, crashing into the neck before shanking in some with the blade he had and pulling back. Breathing heavy he'd remove his helm as he pulled out cloth once more to wipe himself down before walking over to the sister. Grabbing his own bag he'd sit and rest a moment pulling out some water and snacks handing them to the boy before calling the blood coated girl over to gaze upon his face, "Come beautiful sit up on my lap and help clean my armor. I have some water if you wish to wash some of this filth from such a beautiful face." he'd tease wiping the blood from her face as he teased some gazing into her eyes lovingly. Her blush growing as he kept scrubbing at her cheek, "Is this not blood but a blush, Oh my. How you do seem flustered, if this is all it takes gods forbid I show you something far worse, perhaps give you something truly to blush about. Dare I say jaw dropping or filling what have you." Blushing further he'd feel her slap him and tell him to stop her brother was just before them. "Bah, he is but a boy, he knows not of what he speaks beside it's not like I'm taking you right her right now before him, although the thought has crossed my mind with a body as alluring and fine as yours, yes a beauty such as yourself has bewitched me and cast a spell of petrification upon me. Hard as stone I've become....but I'll settle for a kiss to hold me over." He'd tease as the male stole a kiss which was then shifted into a mini make out session as he brother then cleared his throat and got up prepared to carry on. A brief laughter from him passed as she got up and moved forward, his hand slapping her bottom, "Lead the way you two I'll protect you and we'll become rich by days end." he'd say as he laughed. Once more arriving at the floors final room he'd decided to be a bit more relaxed with this one. His eyes shifting as he drew his blade he'd look to them and speak now with his helm on. "Boy, you stay back and cast spells as best you can to either heal me or bind the enemy. My red headed goddess, you take on the ones on the outer rim as I draw them all in. If all goes well, you'll be calling me daddy and you'll have a very rich brother in law, little man." He teased some before charging in and attempting his plan. The assault upon the Kobolds working wonders at first before the boy drew to much aggro, his body shifting to make the short dash he'd save him and push him out the way of a few attacks the boy angry firing off magic at him in retaliation. He'd scream as he was shocked and began to grunt and enter a beserker-like stage swinging about his blade and then cleared the rest of the room with the aide required. After the fight, he'd grab the kid by his shirt and slam him into the wall. "What's your beef little man. I was teasing about your sister. I wouldn't force anything upon her but if you got the balls to attack me in a battle when my back is turned do so again when It isn't so i can at least see you do so. Yet I warn you now kid, try that again and it's your head that will roll not there. Keep your personal beef with the me outside of these dungeons or I'll leave you down here to rot." he'd say bluntly before the sister ran over giving him a dirty look. "Don't waste your breath, you know damn well he was in the wrong, time for the boy to grow some hair on his balls before he tries to challenge a man. He keeps that shit up and I might just deflower you before him and make him watch. See how he likes that thought." He'd say walking off pissed making his way lower as the boy raised his staff to strike but was guided down and consoled by his sister. Who promised to take things slow with Damion if it became a thing, the actions early were just a heat of the moment thing. Yet turning she did admire him so, yet disliked that the two did not get along. Sighing they'd follow after the male down the steps preparing to join him on the third floor. Floor Three Slowly making his way down the stairs still pissed he'd take note of the floor shifting to the lizards which crawled the walls. Not even waiting he'd charge in slamming into them; releasing his frustrations on the lizards almost as if to release them upon the boy; his image plastered up on each face as he sent heads flying in various directions. Eyes shifting to meet the gaze of the others he'd shake his head before taking off once more. The duo seemed useless now; had he been that guy he could let them work all the way up til the next floor stab them and take what they carried for him, by all rights he could but wouldn't. His morals still stronger than the hatred and anger built up inside. None the less during his rage he'd been caught up not noticing the sudden surrounding of the boy and his soon to be dinner date attacked by lizards. Rushing over he'd watch as one of the lizards exploded and then the next soon leaned upon the boy pinning him down. Slamming the blade up its' side it'd vanish as he spun back cutting at her clothes some, popping her top open some as he slammed two others down before them. His body swifter and more accurate than normal. Perhaps this training helped improve his dexterity and agility some, because not only was he feeling stronger and more resilient but he felt that he could finally now stand before a god perhaps to the point of feeling comfortable taking a full on hit and standing now; no longer crumbling. Again probably just the adrenaline rush and his cocky attitude but then again one never knew, it seemed with each passing day the male grew stronger and not just physically but mentally as well. As if he grew more and more with each passing day meeting some sort of balance within himself; his body acclimating and changing. His arms felt bigger his body felt tougher. He knew he was growing and adjusting. So perhaps this was the right move, the path to become a god. To become something more, yet as he did some he'd need to gain that power boost from a god, yet which? As he slammed his way about this floor now protecting the two before anything could even remotely come close to touching them he'd thought about this more and more. What god? He'd met with a few, perhaps a bit over half a dozen, mainly females and a few males. But few attracted him enough in relation to their goals and his. The two which stuck out more were polar opposites tho, the one known as Odin, the forefather and great god so many loved. Perhaps jealousy itself pulled him in that direction, his friend cecilia the cute human bunny marzipan. So many he knew were members of Odin's familia, why not add to such a glory. Then there was Khaos, the insane and ever so amusing goddess, perhaps his desires and influences made upon him for such chaos was fun. Maybe it was just the fact she was a total nut case. Perhaps it was the lust which filled hi loins and the simple factor she seemed so eager to fool around yet break his heart yet humiliate him. Her natural beauty coupled with this personality had him like a love sick pup simply wanting to be her bitch yet at the same time make her his, a confused and highly unlikely scenario yet the thought did cross his mind. Aside from the obvious picks, there were the minor ones. The fair goddess hestia and her kind soul, perhaps he could find some humble standings besides her if not for the children's aid for her own. Yet he could still assist them outside of being in her familia. It almost seemed a waste as he never quite understood her goals or reasoning.None the less his focus shifted as the helm was knocked off. Enraged he'd slam about frantically with no regard for himself slaying the lizards before catching his breath and motioning for them to follow. His body collapsing upon the ground as he grabbed the helm he lost and placed it beside him. A short distance from the next floor room he'd look to them. "Take what time you need gather your strength and when you're ready, let me know I am gonna drink some water and think a bit. I don't think you two are ready past the fourth floor. From there it gets harder and I can't carry you there myself. I'm not quite strong enough." The idea pained him to say it aloud yet he knew he'd need to be honest with them if not to himself as he knew when his limit was reached anything beyond that he might be able to handle alone with no one to worry about and maybe even clear it up til the eight if he was quick and ran past a handful of enemies like he did with cecilia but now, nope he'd need to work on his speed and accuracy to meet these feats, his own limitations were what he faced as a challenge and he knew the best way around that was to lift them from a god's blessing. Sighing he'd be forced once more to sift through memories to help him chose a god. Pulling out water to drink some he'd think on the other gods, his only interaction with freya was a punch to the jaw and he'd walked off home hurting. That would warrant a rematch perhaps one he was a god to knock her on her ass for such humiliation and much-deserved karma. Frey aside, there was also Hades. Although the feelings had for that god were a bit mixed. Most saw hades how hades desired as a female. Yet truth be told after their chat and the fact hades to their true form when with lover he'd soon turn tail. He knew choosing hades would be a move he wasn't ready for, yet at the same time. Sexual frustrations and desires aside hades seemed to match his desires some yet seemed to focus on themselves which for him wasn't as appealing. He'd just be another notch in the belt if not another customer to trade with. He wasn't about it either way, besides that he wasn't a fan of dogs. The only good dog was one by his side or dead. Sighing he'd drink some more before heading off to join the others and clear this floor. there really wasn't much to do for it except clear the lizards and that was simple, or at least simple enough he could lose himself in these thoughts and not need to focus as much, even the boy and his sister seemed fine fighting these monsters. His eyes shifting to block an incoming attack upon them with a short dash he'd knock them back before taking a frontal assault slicing about and slaying the lizards one by one. His thoughts shifting to the goddess of the laughing maid tavern he'd smile. Her familiy knew how to have fun and seemed laid back but still, she seemed to be a goddess he either didn't quite connect with or seemed to be lacking his desired requirements to join. His eye shifting some to a larger lizard appearing he'd grin. Perhaps a boss to clear. Unsure he'd charge in and start the fight as the three gave way to combat. Thoughts shifting deeper into the rabbit hole as his body went into auto piolet. He'd block guard, strike and fight while his mind asked himself who to worship. There was always Soren's god, Briareus. He'd met with that particular god, not finding many appealing qualities although he wasn't a bad god but a fair one and seemed to treat his friend well. So he'd respect him none the less but to each his own came to mind when thinking of him. This left no other gods he could think about as he continued on his journey. Lips parting as he made the final strike hard upon the enemy protecting the girl and her brother he'd send it flying back as its crystal fell and he claimed it his own. "This one is mine since I've let you get first pick on drops." He said as he made his way towards the doors to head down to the fourth floor. His body only now feeling some of the fatigue one might feel as he paused at the doors. Was it worth going down to clear it only to turn around? Looking back at the two he'd note they were reaching their limits. A faint smile passing he'd pat their backs and offer to take them back once more heaidng up the dungeon and out; his plans for the having changed yet a good run none the less. His eyes fixated upon the female he'd smile "So what do you two have planned since we had quite the run; I think I made out with a couple hundred or so gold easy worth of crystals. That means you two did as well. Perhaps I might need to cancel our dinner plans though I think I finally know who I wnat to be my god." He'd say with a grin almost on cue the duo would stop and look at him in shock asking simaltaneously in disbelief that he hadn't already been granted the blessing; given his natural strength and fortitude. A brief blush and a new foun admiration for him became appeared as the boy pat his back and seemed excited the sister more intrigueda s she wrapped about his arm and pulled him closer. "Keep coming onto me like that and I might have to put off my choice a bit and rent us a room at an inn." He'd say the brother becoming frustrated again as he ruffled his hair and they laughed making his way to the top, yet the question still remained, just who did he chose, was it a god or a goddess. Which of the gods was worth his loyalty of choice? Lips parting he'd finally clue the two in on his choice. "I choose...." He'd say as they seemed both surprised and pleased. A fine choice he'd made as they exited the dungeon but a few hours later and a few dozen more enemies slain. They'd arrive top side as he bid them farewell and received his kiss pressing a hand to his lips he'd smile and watch the girl run off. A faint smile leaving his lips he'd shout to her. "I never caught your name love...." Hearing her shout back Myriel he'd blush and rememeber her name fondly. Looking to a setting sun he'd sigh and make his way off towards his god's location; leaving the dungeon behind him.
