The Tavern: Nighttime - Saturday It was a bad idea, a reaaaaaally bad idea for Etsia to be in the very place where a bunch of critters are in cahoots to take over. “Okay Etsy, it’s going to be real okay, okay? Okay..” with a hand on her chest, the young girl let out a calming breath as she made her way into the desolate tavern. It seemed she was the first of the three to get here. As expected, the so called ‘men’ are not punctual, but she knew that, having partied up with them prior. Ka-clunk! “Eeeeep!” every tiny sound and perceived movement got her squealing with a side dose of skin crawling. Her normally perfect skin has pretty much turned from smooth to bumpy the entire time she surveyed the ominously-lit tavern. “W-where are you hiding y-y-you bastards?!” She shouted at seemingly thin air as she darted her head from side to side while her fist tightened around the wooden racket with a net on its head. When the door behind her made a sound without warning, Etsia yelped “UTKDFLSDF!” as she quickly spun around and swung her net down while her eyes were tightly shut. She had not a single clue what was in the net, or if she had even caught anything. @Arthur Oakley @Naburo Keilz / 213 words
While many people considered dealing with rats(quite literally), to be disgusting work. Naburo found it to be entertaining at times. Not only did it keep him entertained but it also assisted The Hostess of Fertility tavern. So here he was walking down the alley after having laid traps outside for the rats. As he entered through the side door he spotted several different rats, yup this was a problem, a big problem. Shaking his head as he began to subdue some of the rats. A few of them had skittered away and thus he followed them. It didn't take him long to locate them at all. In fact he was able to find even more due to that. This case...was going to be interesting. Especially as he finished off the 6th rat. Taking a small breath he decided to walk into the main room of the tavern only to hear a screech from someone and then...he felt the weight of a net falling on top of him. Blinking several times, Naburo looked toward the person that 'caught him' and then sighed. Of course, it was one of the other two people that were joining him in cleaning out the tavern. Sighing again he spoke. "Would you kindly remove this net off of me?" He then turned the sigh into a smile that was both kind and sweet. Of course, he could have removed it himself but he didn';t want to be too rude. After all, it was a female that had 'captured' him. Chuckling slightly as she removed the net he ran his hand through his hair. "Afraid of rats huh?" @Etsia Dolores @Arthur Oakley / 275 words.
Orario City (The Labyrinth City), Entertainment Quarters --- Nighttime Arthur was rapidly closing in on The Hostess of Fertility. He was doing errands for a kind old lady and without realizing it he was running late. Arthur was wearing his dungeon delving equipment which was his halberd and leather chest plate. His face was matted with sweat and his lungs were gasping for air by the time he arrived at the tavern. Yep, the perfect appearance for great first impressions. Arthur slammed the door to the designated meeting room wide open. "I'm here," his accented voice shouted into the spacious room. Several rats came flocking towards the doorway from which Arthur just entered. Immediately seeing the cute, but diseased vermin running across the floor, he swung his Halberd at them. He missed by a wide margin and even managed to scratch up the floor. "Opps," was all Arthur could managed to squeeze out before the rats escaped the tavern through the open door. Although he didn't scream, his body was noticeably tense and his lips pressed into a thin line. It seemed like he hated killing the vermin as well but he couldn't turn down the owner whenever they asked for his help. "Uh, well, I'm Arthur and it's a pleasure to meet y'all," he quickly greeted the other 'rat cleaners'. His left hand switched to hold the halberd as his right hand moved to rub the back of his head. His previous nervous expression was gone and replaced with an attempted smile. It seemed as if he was hinting for them to ignore the previous embarrassing scene. @Etsia Dolores @Naburo Keilz // Words: 259
The Tavern: Nighttime - Saturday Etsia’s eyes were stone-cold. She was not amused in the least to see some random guy’s head in her net. He basically robbed her the opportunity to capture one of the insidious critters roaming about. Technically, he kind of looks like a rat, so it’s not like she “missed” her target or anything, Etsia thought to herself. “Oh… hi… sorry about that!” Etsia spoke with a forced tone while her body leaned back a bit. She wasn’t really good around complete stranger. Not to mention his expression seems really intense, too intense for her… Even though he’s just catching rats. FREAKING RATS! “I’m Etsia, you can call me Etsy if you want. L-let’s just finish this quest quickly and get some money” When the word money escaped her mouth, Etsia could feel her body firming up and her resolve hardened. Money is her one true god (aside from her actual god), her source of livelihood and the reason why she is confronting her most hated enemy right now. When she watched Arthur stumble into the room and smashed is bladed weapon onto the floor, leaving a huge gash on the wooden surface, her jaw nearly dropped. “W-what are you doing?! That’s going to come out of our pa—” A loud clatter coming from the back room interrupted her mid-sentence. WHAT! She silently thought to herself as her face was dotted by sweat. OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD, that does not sound like any of these teeny weeny rats! “G-guys? I d-don’t think that sound belongs to any of these tiny rats…” she trembled. What if it was a giant rat? She’s seriously prepare to faint in case a giant rat appeared. @Arthur Oakley @Naburo Keilz / 279 words
