The Guild
  • About
The Guild is a massive and incredibly influential organization who oversee the Dungeon and the Adventurers. They buy everything from Soul Stones to drop loot, to maps, and information regarding the Dungeon from Adventurers. At the present time, the Guild is responsible for the income of nearly 40% of Orario.

Guilders (employees) serve as advisors to Adventurers. They help Adventurers assemble parties, determining what depth they could go in accordance to their level and Skills. Guilders also provide valuable information regarding the Dungeon and warn Adventurers of hazards. Most of the information they give are general or bought knowledge, however. Due to the competitive nature of Dungeon-delving, many Adventurers do not readily surrender information they learn from their journeys.

The Guild’s headquarters reside within Orario, but they also have many branches throughout the region, one of which is in the port town Melen. In these remote Locations, the Guild primarily offers services to Adventurers who go on quests unrelated to the Dungeon.

Before the Gods came down from heaven, the Guild was known as the Adventurers’ League. At this time, it existed as a collective that helped each other go on quests and slay monsters within the Dungeon. Considering that all of these Adventurers were without the blessing of Falna, it was an arduous and ineffective tasks. The League mostly relied on sharing valuable information with one another so they could conquer the Dungeon. For a hundred years since it was established, the best of the Adventurers could at most go down to the 5th floor.

Everything changed after the Gods made their descent, however. Once Falna became widespread, Adventurers became much more powerful and were able to bring back an unprecedented amount of Soul Stones and monster drops. Seeing an incredible business opportunity, one of the richest Elven entrepreneur, Royd Marcelle, bought out the Adventurers’ League and rebranded as the Guild.

Knowing full well that the demand for Soul Stones as an alternative energy was skyrocketing, Royd ordered the Guild to start exchanging Soul Stones that Adventurers bring in for gold. He then worked with world-class inventors to devise a mean to extract energy from Soul Stones efficiently, which he then distributes in the worldwide market. Given the complete secrecy surrounding this technology, no other organization has been able to match the Guild.

Within ten mere years, the Guild became an economic and political powerhouse, rumored to influence the ruling class in the country.

    Headquarters
Pantheon: The Guild’s main headquarters is called the Pantheon, a massive, historical building strategically situated a couple of blocks away from the Dungeon. When you set foot into the Pantheon for the first time, you will arrive a lavishly decorated central room that was made to accommodate the large amount of foot traffic from visiting Adventurers. If you are not enamored by the reflective marble floor, then certainly, the rich mahogany-carved furnishing will astound you. Everything about this single room screamed wealth. Off to either sides are offices that Guilders will use for meetings that require privacy.

To access the Guild’s service, write or draw your name in the sign in sheet and relax in the waiting area, which hosts a variety of chairs, couches, and sofas, until you are called up by one of the Guilders behind the counter. At the counter, you will be able to see massive rows of bookcases on tracks that give them mobility, allowing them to be pushed up against one another for extra space. This is where all the records of Adventurers and information regarding the dungeons are kept. Off on either side of the long counters are narrow corridors that lead into the back and upper areas of the building. This is where smaller offices are built for the staff to accommodate guests with more private matters.

Finally, considering that the Guild serves anyone, including the “end-of-the-line” poor and those who are desperate enough to commit crime, there are dedicated securities guarding every door leading out of the building.
