About
Caenis are groups of beastfolks who inhabit the harsh and reclusive Hyland mountains. Due to their reserved nature, caenis rarely venture beyond their homeland. Because of this, their society is rather primitive and lacking in technological advances that other nations enjoy.
Most caenis live in small tribes of 30-40 people scattered around the mountainous region. Some of these are led by elders while others are led by the strongest of the tribe.
Internal disputes are frequent and bloody, which has led to a steady decline of their population over the past few centuries.
Appearance
Caenis possess a strong build which enables them to survive in colder and harsher environments that others might avoid.
They feature canine tails, claws, fangs, and ears protruding from the top of their heads.
- Height: 5'7" - 6'4"
- Build: Toned - Stocky
Lupis
Lupi have similar characteristics to that of wolves, featuring perky ears, sharp and narrowed eyes, and a prominently bushy tail. They consider themselves of higher social status than Famigna. Those with white fur are held in higher regard than others. Lupi are cautious of strangers and prone to aggressive behavior.
Famigna
Famigna have more in common with the domesticated dog than their Lupi brethren, featuring a smaller build, with ears and tails in various shapes and colors. They are often subject to discrimination by their Lupi counterpart and prefer to live amongst themselves. Famigna are less prone to violence and live peaceful lives when permitted.
Passive Trait
Blood Hound Given their canine traits, caenis receive bonuses towards actions involving their sense of smell or hearing.
