These adventurers are ran by a Dungeon Master (DM) or Game Master (GM). They will have full control over the story, the NPCs, the monsters, as well as the result of your actions. The way you RP challenges is that when you are engaged in combat or interacting with a major NPC, all actions are "attempts." The GM/DM will decide the result.

Morality

Players are free to do anything they want in-game. Some may join groups of bandits to kill and pillage, while others try to defend the innocent. The game does not confine players to lawful activities. However, all actions in the game – be it good or evil – have consequences.

Freeform Roleplay

As the name suggests, members can create open or private threads and roleplay as they see fit. Staff will never interfere with regular roleplaying threads unless they violate the rules of the site.

Quests

Quest are structured roleplaying threads with a specific storyline or clear objectives.

  • Quests can be found in the Quests board.
  • These quests do not require a dungeon master (DM).

Challenges

Challenges are adventures run by a dungeon master (DM). The DM has full control over the story, NPCs, monsters, as well as the results of member actions. When the member engages in combat or interacts with important NPCs, the outcome of all actions are decided with dice rolls or by the DM.

When signing up for a challenge, mastery levels and equipment must be accounted for. Once a challenge has been completed, the participating members may receive rewards at the discretion of the DM.

  • All challenges are death-enabled unless stated otherwise.
  • The DM may skip turns if a member is unable to post within the time limit (i.e. 24 hours). They may also remove members from the thread after prolonged inactivity.

Story Events

Terrasphere has an official storyline. All story events will be ran by GM/DM. Death is enabled for all of these threads. Staff will be very selective on who gets to join the story events because they affect the site in big ways and will require people who are dedicated to RPing here.
