Preface
The Elysid Court is one of the most widespread religion in Falderen and its surroundings. It is composed of two courts, the Elysid and the Tora who are at conflict with one another. The creed of this religion is only to worship the gods so they may take care of you in the afterlife when your soul is delivered to Elysium.
Usually, a small town will take one Deity as their host while bigger cities will have several temples worshiping different deities. For worshiping, there is no restriction on whom the believer prays to, different occasion may require prayer to different deities.
The Elysid
Ys![]() Ys (p. is) leads the Elysid Court as the Alfather and the Supreme Deity. His domain is the governance over all mortals and immortals as a cosmic force. As a rule, only royalty may take Ys as their host. It is considered sacrilegious for common-blood to take Ys as their host.
Uene![]() Uene (p. wen) is Ys' wife. She is the embodiment of Mother Nature herself. Uene is depicted as a moody woman who may be kind one day but is detestable the next. She is primarily worshipers by women and matriarchal houses.
Tyl![]() Tyl is the first son and the embodiment of justice and righteousness. In the lore, one of the Malevolent Toras, Ansora, tricked Tyl into spilling tainted blood, which resulted in a vile plague that wiped out half of the world. To atone for his mistake, Tyl took this poison into his body, torturing himself eternally. Those who take Tyl as their host often have great conviction, namely defenders of faith like Paladins.
Idna![]() As Ys' oldest daughter, Idna is revered as the wisest among the deities. Per his wisdom, she is tasked with recording the past and the future. While Idna is depicted as a mild-tempered maiden, her many responsibilities and domain often lead her to mental chaos. According to the lore, she is very close with Iedi, who cures her mental malady.
Lheo![]() When Lheo (p. lee-oh) was born, Idna prophesized that he was to become a conquerer blessed with many victories. Following her divination, Ys assigned unto Lheo the domains of war, honor, and strength. Throughout his life, he did as she foresaw. As such, he is often taken as a host by those who live and fight on the frontline.
Endra![]() As the Goddess of Commerce, Endra encompasses all trades done above and below the table. As long as there is no cheating or foulplay involved, she does not condemn ill-gotten gains. One time when she caught Ansora rigging a trade, she cut off his hand with her golden sword. Merchants often take Endra as their host; she protects them from the temptation of Elwora and Ansora (her archenemies), betrayal and cheats respectively.
Iedi![]() Iedi's (p. ee-dee) domain revolves around prosperity and wellness. She is most often taken as a host by the impoverished, who cannot afford an extravagant life and those afflicted with illness. Iedi is depicted as a very soft spoken young maiden who cures not only her followers but also the rest of the pantheon from whatever malady they may be suffering from. According to the lore, Iedi is Ys favorite child and Idna's best friend.
Qora![]() Qora was begotten from Lheo and Ahra. Before his birth, Idna prophesied that Qora would kill Ys. Being merciful, Ys banished him to the Endless Grove where he grew up learning from the living trees and creatures in the forest. Without the influence from the Court or the Tora, Qora became the embodiment of neutrality, impartial to both groups of deities. Through his upbringing, he became the Great Druid.

The Malevolent Tora
The Malevolent Tora is a pantheon comprised of four deities who were casted out of the Elysid Court for their misdeeds and thirst for destruction. Depending on the occasion, believers of the Elysid Court may pray to the Malevolent Tora, asking for mercy without invoking the wrath of their host. However, those who follow the path of light will not take any of these deities as their host.
Ahra![]() As Ys' mistress, with whom he begot the other three Tora, Ahra is also known as the Mother of Destruction. While she harbors a deep grudge against Uene and some of Uene's children, Ahra absolutely adores the pivotal moment when the followers of the Elysid fall into her domain.
Elwora![]() Elwora (el-woh-rah) is the oldest son born from the union of Ys and Ahra. Despite inheriting some of Ys' blood, Elwora is a bloodthirsty warmonger. His blessings are often reserved for those who offer him blood sacrifices. Given his vile nature, assassins and betrayers often take him as their host.
Synra![]() Despite Synra's status as a Malevolent Tora, Synra is in love with Tyl. Since she is a mute on top of being a Tora, the romance between the two remains one-sided much to her dismay. Aside from fawning over Tyl, Synra spends the majority of her time taking departed souls to the world beyond. Considering her one-sided love, Synra's desire to reunites lovers is strong. Occasionally when a person performs necromancy on their deceased loved one and prays to her, she would take the fallen soul back to the mortal world, against their will.
Ansora![]() Ever since Ansora was banished from the Elysid Court for raping Iedi, Ansora has held onto a deep-rooted grudge against his banishers. Although he professed his love for Iedi many times after his banishment, she would not look at him. Upon finding out that Iedi was interested in Tyl, Ansora deceived Tyl into pouring a destructive poison on the world, which resulted in a great calamity. Tyl who took the poison into himself was subjected to unbearable pain eternally. As a result, Ys grant him the three vilest domains.
