About
Faerins is a small minority living among human. Considering their low class status, discrimination against Faerins are common occurrences in human societies. While Faerins' slavery is still legal in a few places, the practice has been abolished in most places.
Most Faerins in human cities take up work as live-in servants, fieldworkers, magical assistants, or other low-prestige occupations. A few, however, are fortunate enough to make a name for themselves by being employed by rich people or owning property. There are two sub-types of Faerins:
Ascen
Ascens possess little to no magical ability, but their enhanced strength makes them suitable for fieldwork and other difficult physical jobs.
Velten
Veltens lack constitution and strength, but their magical affinity make them ideal for assisting magic practitioners.
